Great meal with the kids for Easter. Our waiter, Ethan, was fantastic. I wish the other tables were a bit further away, we had a lot of conversations going on around us we wish the kids couldn’t hear, otherwise fantastic!

Party of 4 with 2 kids ages 9 and 6. They have a kids menu and it’s affordable. The 2 adults got the meat lovers with upgrades. The meat was great. The sauces were good too. Tables were clean and service was decent. Pro tip eat at 4:30 and you’ll get to cooking before the dinner rush starts. Kids are picky and they said we should come back more often. S’mores at the end of the meal was fun. Enjoyed our meals. We will rerun for family dinner.

The overall experience was quite remarkable. However, it seems that our server lacked a bit of engagement with us. They simply inquired about our order and promptly delivered the food to our table without ensuring if we required any further assistance. Nonetheless, the establishment as a whole is truly exceptional.

Food was excellent.I had the fried chicken appetizer it was excellent and plentiful. The sauce with this appetizer went welll. I had the lunch special group a . All meat it was delicious! I enjoyed the spicy beef. it had the right amount of heat. They did not skim on the rice. The green tea ice cream was the best I have tasted in a long time. There was so much food I could not finish it all. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends

Very delicious! I only wish th staff had been a little more informative for first time visitors. The main issue was the host stand being highly disorganized.

The hostess was yelling the entire time which ruined the ambiance a little. It’s okay to welcome costumers but when you’re yelling across the room in a small space it’s very uncomfortable. The food was amazing no complaints there. The waiter was also great very attentive good costumer service. However it’s hard to enjoy when you can even hear yourself due to someone’s constant shouting.

The service was beyond horrible. Our waiter (Chris) was hardly present throughout the dinner and we never received portions of our meal (soup, appetizers, vegetables, and some of the meats). With that being said, the food we did receive was fantastic! All the meats were great and we enjoyed the food we did receive. I’ve been to the Dorchester location and will opt to go there next time after this service experience.

Walked in and they say that there is 30-45 min wait even though half of the place was empty. I made a reservation online for 3-15 pm ( 15 min away from the time i reserved it). When returned and said that i have reservation the hostess said that our table is taken and that we need to wait she also pointed on what table would be ours. ( the place was still half empty). In 5 min we were seated at the different table. Very confusing. I hope they will not close soon because hostess doesnt seat people right away even if she can and loosing all potential costumers

This was my first time having Japanese barbecue and I must say it was amaze balls. I took my wife and son there for Valentine’s Day and we had a blast. Definitely be going back again. I look forward to taking my daughter there when she comes back from college. I’ll probably even take my parents there. Highly recommend it you get to cook your own food at your own pace they give you plenty of time and they don’t rush you, highly recommended.

My wife and I anticipated Valentine's day. Great selection of meats. The wagyu beef and the pork belly were outstanding. Good salad and the rice. We didn't know that we had to grill our own food! It was a little intimidating at first, but our server was outstanding at helping us out. The only negative was the Matcha Tiramisu dessert.

A unique dining experience & fun atmosphere. The selection of proteins to grill is abundant. The waiter was attentive however the kitchen was backed up & food trickled out..with meal arriving before the appetizers & salads. Enjoyable dining.

Great place, but they never seat you when you get there. I have a reservation and there are tables open and I still always have to wait 5-10 minutes. I would much rather sit at a table with a drink than stand in people's way.

Zaida was great as our server! She was very attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of through out our dinner. If I could request her as my server again, I 100% would! :)

On the plus side, t's nice to be around a grill on a cold night. The selection is vast and unique. The communal grilling is fun and sparks conversation. That said, the menus is pretty big so it's hard to know what to do on your first time. Our waitress was very helpful. Make sure someone explains it to you. We went with a meal for 3 which included a lot of meats and some starters. We didn't eat it all because it was more meat than we were used to. It was $125 for 3 of us ($150 with tip). No drinks. I left feeling like that was a lot of $$. I'll go back but will order a la carte

Guy Kaku is great, the food is always hot when I go. Wanted to order the A5 Wagyu but they were sadly out ending up getting the mixed cubes which was very underwhelming and not worth the value at all. Though we did enjoy the kalbi beef very much. Service was not the best, had a reservation and still ended waiting about 20 minutes before being seated and once seated it took another 10/15 minute for our waiter to come over and that was only after asking the hostess.

Food was good, but rushed. They kept bringing out plate after plate before we finished the soup/salad. Had to set our finished plates on the ledge next to us. Wouldn’t be an issue if the tables were bigger.

Hibachi style tasty, not many servers but they were running around, and I appreciated that they were trying to be attentive to everyone. Would have preferred a couple more pieces of meat. Our grill was not working properly

What a great experience. I offered a high-end steakhouse to my guest, and they recommended Guy-Kaku instead. It was easy and fun to grill our own food, the food was tasty and fresh, and the service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend.
