Great food and great way to interact with others in grilling your food. Would go back for sure. Service was very good but it starts very slowly. If they quickly served drinks for example I would say 5 stars.

This time the service was very slow and they were out of a lot of items. I ordered a cocktail and it took over 45 min to let me know they couldn’t make my drink because they were out of lime. Server also forgot one of our appetizers. It was an okay experience, took us an hr To get our food.

Our first time to this restaurant. Food and quality of the meats and flavor was really good. The staff was very helpful guiding us through the experience of cooking our own meal. One negative was that we were sat a the booth directly in front of the entry door, so every time someone walked in the wind would blow items on our table. We made a reservation and I would have expected a better table compared to someone that just walked in.

It was our second time and everything was amazing once more! Big shoutout to Angel for getting us a table without any problem, and to Adam for always checking on us to make sure everything went well! I worked as an host at a restaurant before and the customer service here is outstanding. We'll be back for more for sure!

This restaurant is amazing every time we get the chance to go. The chefs special is always my go to and a miso garlic butter. I like the ambiance and it makes it easy to converse and giggle while talking with others. The s’mores are a beautiful palate cleanser to end the meal AND you can ask for a box to get what you couldn’t eat to take home. Shout out to Danielle tonight. She is a lovely elevation to the dining experience!

Food and experience were great! Our actual server was delightful. Overall service was sub-par, as it took forever for us to be served following our prompt seating and it seemed to take a while for food to come out, esp since we were doing the cooking! I’d definitely return in hope that it was just an off night, because the food was very much worth it!

The bar was a complete mess covered with 20+ empty or half drank glasses, chairs upside down on the bar top, hostess area was a mess too. Made me wonder what the back kitchen area looked like if this was the front. We had to wait a while despite having made a reservation. The staff was friendly and our server, Mason, was very nice and helpful. The food was just ok. I guess they stopped oiling the grill due to it being a fire hazard and so the food was sticking onto the grill so all the food was sticking to it and burning. The bathroom was also smelly. Overall, the staff was friendly but the dirtiness and lack of order was a big turn off. Will not be dining here again.

It was a fun experience, and overall the food was good. Just a bit pricey for the amount of food that you get, but my children especially enjoyed the experience. We do plan on going back.

My friends and I love this place so much, my only feedback is that our server last night didn’t gave us too much information on what the meats that he was bringing to the table were or how much time we should live them in the grill. Other than that, everything was delicious and great

We came looking for a family, friendly dining experience, and we were not disappointed with the grilling experience. The the entire restaurant is booth seating, which made it really easy to use a booster seat with a toddler. We had no problem hearing each other speak, even though we were seated right next to the kitchen. the waitress was very patient and accommodating to us being first time visitors she explained the menu very well and helped us navigate some dietary restrictions. And the most important part was that the food was delicious — garlic rice, noodles, beef, kids menu — was all perfect.. the waitress did forget our edamame but that was our fault for ordering it out of sequence and she caught it before putting it onto the bill. Overall highly recommend for families with children.

Our server was fantastic as was the brand new hostess in training. However the wait (despite our reservations) and the somewhat rudeness of the main host had us start off on the wrong foot. It was also quite loud but to be expected for a weekend and we had no trouble hearing each other at our dinner table. Food was delicious and good value. We will come back and hopefully the host will be better.

Loved the experience but too much waiting in between with the staff. We had a 7pm appointment and nobody was up front to greet us or to check us in. Waiter took too long bringing drink refills. Also dropped off check and waited too long for the waiter to come back and run my card.

Mid afternoon early dinner, the restaurant was not full at all so it was quiet and very enjoyable. Service was a bit slow, but didn’t ruin the meal. Food was excellent.

Always so much fun to dine at Gyu Kaku. So many appetizers to choose from, all reasonably priced! And options for everyone - meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans! Servers and managers are always so welcoming and attentive. This has consistently been our favorite affordable and delicious date night for a few months now, and we already can wait to go back!

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious. We spent around $50 per person. I did not know that you could park in the garage next to the restaurant. We will come back again soon.

Had a great brunch and restaurant experience. It was nice to use a tabletop bbq where the smoke was sucked out through the perimeter of the bbq, unlike some table bbq places we’ve been. We had shishito peppers, edamame, kalbi beef, beef tongue, duck, calamari and pork belly. Everything was delicious, no complaints. We will definitely be back.

Good tasty food. Did the BBQ all you could eat. Little more expensive than other all you can eat bbq places but really enjoyable, and would recommend Location is ok, downtown Austin has became rather sketchy but this place can't change that.

Had a great time. Emily was a our waitress and very helpful! Great selection of food and really rich flavors. Definitely order the garlic fried rice!

Ate there on a Monday and the restaurant was woefully underprepared. Many menu items they were out of. No sodas were available because they didnt have carbonation. When dinner is over $300 for four people. things like this should be sorted before they open.

Our server was very attentive and patient with my family who had never been to the restaurant. My only concern was that the food was taking a long time. We were informed that there was a miscommunication in the kitchen that delayed the food. We ended up being there way past close because of that and as it got closer to closing, we had significantly less check-ins and an even longer wait for the food. Definitely would it give it another chance though

We had an excellent time celebrating our buddies birthday. Our server Adam was great and attentive. We ordered the Feast as we were a party of 6 and of course let the sake and Sapporo flow. The food was incredible and the sides and salads were great. Don’t sleep on the spicy tofu soup. Will be back for sure!

Adam our server was FANTASTIC. the food was great, the prim kalbi shortribs are really tender, the cucumbers are addicting, the marinated skirt is also fantastic!
