Our bbq is seasoned overnight and then smoked low and slow for up to 14 hours. We use whole pecan logs in order to create our signature smoke flavor. Came her for Mother's Day with a reservation. We got seated on-time and our orders went in on-time. However, the food did not arrive for 45 min. We had to inquire as to why. No Information was offered to us. When I finally flagged someone down, I was told that the kitchen is prioritizing take-out orders!!! So the reservation is only to get seated, but not to get served. Sad :(

Service was great!! Food was ok. My steak salad was not good. I had it before and it was wonderful. This time the meat was rare. I thought it was going to walk off my plate. I’m always too embarrassed to say anything so I ate as much as I could. Other than that had a nice time.

Even with a reservation, it took a while to get seated. We ordered the skillet corn bread, which came out immediately. I'm thinking that someone else ordered it and didn't want it, so it was given to us. The creamed corn was honestly the best part of the meal. The bbq was okay, and the fried chicken was very bland and very oily. I shouldn't have to rely on the bbq sauce on the table to give my food flavor. Condiments are only to enhance the flavor. Would I come here again for bbq? I'll pass and go somewhere else.

It was our first time dining here. We went for my mother's birthday and everyone was very attentive from the start. There was a new waitress training and she had a very nice attitude. All in all, the service, food, and staff were great.

Onion strings, chili started out meal. Drinks were excellent and the baby backs with dirty rice, house salad and their beans was on par. Our favourite local bbq is still #1

Food was great. I had shrimp n grits. It was good but the grits were a little grainier than I wanted but overall not bad. Next time I’ll come back for the ribs. I would come back again for sure. Service was great. A little noisy but it’s to be expected.

Friendly people. Excellent food. Mains(ribs and sandwiches), were 5-star, some of the sides(Mac & Cheese and red cabbage slaw) were a bit bland. My only complaint is that we had a reservation for 4 and they stuck us at a small table in the middle, while there were several empty booths along the wall. I almost said something, but thought maybe they were seating larger parties there. So here we are in the middle, getting bumped and bustled by customers and servers waking by, while they put multiple parties of 2 in the booths? Why are you putting larger group at a smaller table? I have two teenage sons, one of whom is 6’2” and he had to move his chair every time someone walked behind our table. That was disappointing. Thanks for listening.

I visited Gus’s for the Beef Rib which they only serve Fri-Sun. It was amazing as always. So flavorful and tender. The best beef rib I have ever eaten. I was worried as it was rather late and I was concerned they would be sold out which often happens. I was told there were 6 left. I was also told it would be the last 6 sold as they are not going to carry it on the menu after tonight. So very disappointed but so grateful I was able to experience it one last time. At least they still have their weekend Chicken & waffles.

What was good was the wedge salad, cornbread, and the glass of sangria. The entrees of both gumbo and shrimp with grits weren’t authentic to true southern cuisine. They were less than mediocre at best. We were very disappointed.

Gus's has a wide variety of choices (beyond the signature Southern barbecued meats) and the food has been consistently delicious over the years. The bar menu is interesting (and the sangria is the best anywhere, IMO). Service is always friendly and efficient. We never feel rushed to leave even when the restaurant is full.

I love this place and I will definitely come back, however I specifically reserved a table for someone in my party's birthday. I think the staff forgot, or didn't read the reservation notes entirely. Two other tables around us were also celebrating birthdays so I had assumed there would be a candle lit cake arriving to our table soon enough, but instead we received our bill. Made for a very awkward moment. Nonetheless, food was amazing and other than that staff were great.

We hadn't been to Gus's in quite awhile and were looking forward to a rack of ribs, and we were not disappointed. The ribs were juicy and very flavorful. We had the cole slaw and the green beans as sides and they were very good too. We had an excellent time and dinner. We had made a reservation in advance and were seated immediately upon arrival.

Dependably good service and good food. Particularly tasty last night with a nice draft beer. I got the spare ribs, brisket, and sausage combo with jalepeno grits and Cole slaw. One taste of the brisket and that’s why they call it comfort food. The rest of the family enjoyed their dinner too.

The food was really good! The best bbq that I have tasted but their customer service in the front was the worst! When I walked in and checked in early about and hour and half. The host stated that I would be seated close to my time or at the time we made our reservation. When other people were just checking in she would say 45 minutes. I then asked her what was my wait and she mentioned the same thing then I said I shouldn’t have done a reservation and just walked in. She then realized and took us in within 15 minutes but still waited about an hour and half.

Chicken was dry, Brisket was very fatty. Half of the brisket was fat that I cut away. Sausage, beans and mash were good. Ice tea serviced in small jelly jars. Way too overpriced for what it's worth
