Since 1946, Gus’s has been serving true Southern hospitality and some of the best real pit BBQ around. Housed in the iconic Claremont Packing House, Gus’s is a tribute to Southern life, where family, tradition and celebration are of the utmost importance. As always, Gus's serves up excellent BBQ and other great choices. Nicely prepared and served with a smile. Good portions, and prices are reasonable. Outdoor patio is spacious and pleasant.

We all had a really good time at Gus's BBQ! Food was great. Service was a little null. However, that won't stop us from coming back and trying different menu items.

The wings and cornbread are great starters. We get the wings “naked” with the sauce on the side. For lunch we had the blackened salmon salad and ribs with two meats (pulled pork and brisket). All very tasty, although I did add extra bbq sauce on the brisket. I always get greens on the side and add the red pepper sauce. The mashed potatoes are also pretty good. Their signature Old Fashioned is really tasty as is the mule with ginger (I forget the name)

We go to Gus’s in Claremont regularly because we know the food is consistently very good to excellant. I opted for the Half Brick Chicken which is a favorite of mine while my wife got her favorite sandwich, the Pulled Pork. My son joined us as a belated Moo Day celebration and being a big eater got the 3 meat combo with fried chicken, brisket and pulled pork. All Our meals were delicious and well received by all. Butter cake is delicious for dessert. The Manager who was on staff and we have met before is very friendly and outstanding in his services.
