Inspired by Indian culture and that lifestyle of just drinking, eating delicious food and enjoying life, Guru Kitchen + Bar offers residents and visitors to Edmonton’s Ice District an approachable and modern twist on traditional Indian cuisine. Possessing a chic, inviting and vibrant atmosphere and located steps from Rogers Place in the heart of the city’s burgeoning downtown business, dining and entertainment district, the restaurant opened its doors in February 2020. General manager Gurjeet Khaira and his culinary team offer an innovative menu that highlights an abundance of quality ingredients with traditional Indian flavours and a Chef’s Tasting Menu highlighting inspirations from the culinary team including selections from their take on Indian street food, tandoori oven classics and innovative dishes inspired by the vast regional cuisines of India, Asia and the globe.

This restaurant is one of our favourites and, as usual, it didn’t disappoint! The service was attentive and the food was amazing!

Service was very slow. Have eaten at west end location where service and food was much better. We brought friends that had never been there prior and we were embarrassed that we did. The amount of chicken and beef in our main dishes was pathetically small. Have ordered these at their other location and usually have left overs. This time we barely had enough for 1 or 2 pieces per person in the chicken and almost all potatoes in the beef dish. Should have sent it back.

We had a great experience Mar. 28 before the Oilers game. The menu is limited but everything we ordered was flavourful and delicious. Vegetable samosas, chicken sliders, mango chicken and basmati rice. More than enough food for the two of us. Our server was attentive and even though the restaurant was busy, chatted with us when she had time.

A great evening out! 6 of us enjoyed the Chef’s Tasting. The staff were very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and fancy cocktails.

Very good food. Attentive service. Servicing size and meat and shrimp was not large for the price. Lots of sauce with less protein. I know we've had inflation but more protein could have been in the dish.
