We serve a buffet brunch on Sundays from 10AM-2PM. Adults are $24 a person and children are $15 a person. On Monday and Tuesday nights each guest gets 4 pieces of our famous fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, and a biscuit, served family style: $22 per person (Family style is for parties of 3 or more)

The service by everyone was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the food, including the walleye and the special of the night, prime rib. The only complaint was that it was pretty cold in the restaurant.

Had dinner with one of our grandchildren and his girl friend. It was the perfect setting. Quit enough to talk and visit and the food and service were perfect! We enjoyed our evening and visit with one of our 23 grandchildren. We will be back to do this again and soon!

Get the onion rings, hot slaw, and bread pudding! Our other dishes were hit or miss. Our server was attentive before our main dishes arrived, but then it got busier and so did he. I had an issue with my dish, but by the time I could get his attention, everyone else at the table had finished. He did take the dish off of my bill, and he gave us a dessert - we were celebrating our mother’s birthday.

Good onion rings (4 for $9.00) Cod sandwich was good and the roasted red pepper soup outstanding. Server was friendly but lunch took a long time when they were only about 1/2 full. It’s not bad but $50 - $75.00 for lunch ??? Maybe not too often.

Made this reservation with my wife for Mother’s Day. We have eaten there many times and enjoy the food. BUT when we got there we were told our only choice was the buffet, this was for a 7:30 reservation. No where was there a mention either on open table or on the Greyhound website that it was buffet only. Cost was $45.00 person. The server was great and almost embarrassed to tell us about the only option. He said people were upset all day when they found out. There needs to be better communication with customers before dropping this type of surprise on them.

We’ve eaten at Greyhound Tavern before ordering off their menu and the food and service was fantastic. We chose Mother’s Day to go (with online reservations) for this very reason—bringing along our family which includes teenagers and young adults. We noticed a sign when we walked in that said Mother’s Day Buffet. Getting there at 6:30 pm and assuming it was for Brunch earlier in the day, we were surprised to learn it was only the buffet offered. I would not have brought my Mom or my boys—not being big eaters—because it was super expensive way to go for dinner. We had our hearts set on ordering from their menu. The lady who called to confirm our reservation a few days prior must have assumed we knew it was buffet only on certain days, but when you aren’t regular customers, it would have been nice to know. We would eat here again, just not on those “special days”.

Buffet price went from $25 to $45 per person because it was Mother’s Day. Way overpriced. Food was bland and meh. Fried chicken was good. I wouldn’t go back, even for the lesser price.

The Mother's Day buffet was not worth $45. If we would have known the upped price, we wouldn't have went. The website says Sunday Buffet is $24. They should let people know of the price change before they make reservations & wait for a table.

The service was great and we loved the food. A few things to improve on. It was Mother’s Day, so large crowds are expected. However, there was a family of 16-20 sat in the middle of the dining room (between the booths in the main room). They were very inconsiderate of other customers - blocking the aisle ways to and from the buffet, standing and talking in the middle of the room, and talking at the top of their lungs. They acted like the owner the place. I realize this wasn’t necessarily the restaurants fault, however maybe consider putting large groups in a different room, towards the back. It was challenging to hold a conversation with my mother because of them. Other suggestions - we really missed the breakfast casserole. The desserts also weren’t as good as they used to be. I miss the little cheesecakes and eclairs. Overall, the food was still good and we had a nice time. It just could have been a better experience.

I’ll start by saying it was busy and our waitress was friendly. That’s about all for the positives. It took around 20 minutes to simply get our starters which were good and hot. Once we ordered our entrees is where it declined rapidly. Took 60 minutes to get our entrees from when we ordered. And on top of it my wifes meal was luke warm at best and my daughter’s fries were cold. They gladly removed it from the bill. We ordered some pie to go and then they also were out of that. The restaurant did provide us a gift card for all the troubles. Not sure if we’ll use it as the food was just OK at best for 130 bucks with tip.

Funny story, so when we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the manger. Explained to him we had not been in a while, but chose their place as it’s always excellent with wonderful food & service. Well, we jinxed our self…….my guest ordered the lunch special which was split pea soup with a ham sandwich. Lunch was delivered, soup didn’t even fill half the bowl. Sandwich was so thin with meat & cheese it was pathetic. My guest took the fixings off one half of the sandwich & added it to the other half just to give it some substance. Our waiter was busy on his phone as we had to call him over often to get us what we needed. Not the service or food quality we were expecting……

The food was just ok. Had the steak and fries special. The strip steak was very thin, so it was hard to prepare as rare as we ordered. Not much flavor. The fries were cold. Salads were good. Had to wait quite a while for our wine and martini. Think the problem was with the bar and not the server. Server was very good. She had so many tables, she was running. Will be awhile before we go back.

We were rushed by the waiter. He never removed the dirty dishes from the table until we were about to leave. The mashed potatoes were instant and smelled that way. The pasta was bland. Everyone around us were given bread and butter …we had to ask. The best things we had were the onion rings and the hot slaw. After dinner my friend went into the bathroom and all the cleaning items were in the sink and that included the toilet bowl brush.

We went to Greyhound Tavern for a nice dinner to celebrate my retirement. I love Greyhound Tavern and we moved recently so it is very close. They have so many delicious meals. The Fried Chicken is my favorite.

Sitting in the bar on Sunday Brunch is nice the "male waiter/@bar tender" is very nice. The female who works during the week is abrupt and moody. She also slams dishes on the table. Only sit in the bar on Sunday Brunch.

Arrived 10 min early on reservation and seated right away= good. Ordered drinks promptly. Ordered food promptly and food was very good BUT waited an HOUR to get food!! Others around us arrived after us and received food before us. Server did not refill water or ice tea. Said manager offered desert as a consolation even if “to go”. We ordered cobbler to go and when opened at home was puny. Overall a very disappointing experience / we have been to the restaurant before and expected much more. A “downer” for the evening.

2 for 2. Was so good Thursday I went back Friday. Same Caesar salad and so so bread, but the pork tenderloin and heirloom carrots were to die for. Great bartenders..sat at bar both nights. Perfect drinks.

Very good food. Caesar Salad, Country Green Beans, and the Chicken with the Sweet potato puree was fabulous. The bread was the only negative. Drinks were strong and well made. Very good service.

We always love to sit in the bar. Great ambience. Bartenders take care of us very well.

Love Greyhound Tavern. Our service was great food was good and our server was fantastic.

We were there with a group of 5. The food was very good, the ambience was warm, comfortable, and relaxed. Their fried chicken, which two of us had, is always great. The only drawback was that three of us had cocktails and they were awful. I had a sidecar, and the other folks had a manhattan and a whiskey sour. Worst sidecar I've ever had, the whiskey sour was so sour it was basically inedible, and the manhattan lame. Save yourself the grief and get a beer. If so, you should love the place. Everything else was great and we have been there multiple times. Happy to go again.
