The first breakfast brunch venue in Amsterdam finally makes it to Scotland!

ALL DAY Breakfast / Brunch and Lunch menu. Vegan - Vegetarian and Gluten Free dishes and options. Fully licenced and located in the centre of town just off George Street and 5 minutes from Princes Street and the Station.

Dutch inspired and owned.

Homemade drinks and all food prepared fresh daily.

We pride ourselves on sourcing top quality local ingredients and make our products fresh on the premises as much as we can. And of course, we also brought our Dutch roots with us as well. You’ll find it on the menu and in the restaurant itself. Fancy some traditional Dutch ‘appeltaart’ (apple pie)?

The member of staff who greeted us was really friendly and it was relatively quick service. We ordered coffees first which were nice. Then comes the food… I booked this place because I heard the food was amazing and the pictures made it look exceptional. My partner and I ordered the pancakes. They were burnt and really dense. We normally don’t complain and we’re definitely not fussy eaters but this was different. We were so disappointed with our meal, 1 because it’s a little expensive so we expected more and 2 because we wanted to make the most of being in Edinburgh and go to the best places. We complained to the waitress, who was lovely and she told the manager. The manager didn’t come out to see us but the waitress said they took the feedback. Overall disappointing.

                                                                                                                                    Good Morning, Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. I really want to just start by apologising for what happened the Saturday that you visited. I don't have any excuse but I would like to explain in hope that you do come back and give us a second chance. I was working on the floor that day and I found out from the kitchen (too late) that the grill had been accidently turned up meaning that for the first time we had more than a few unhappy guests, this truly breaks my heart. Our guests happiness is something that I really care deeply about. I have spoken with my whole team about what happened on this day to make sure it doesn't happen again. That day was a service that we work so hard to avoid and I am very sorry you got mixed up in it. Alice, Restaurant Manager

Service was fine. Main reason we will not be returning that it is too busy and noisy. Tables are way too crowded together, I don’t want to be at touching distance of the next table. Music and chatter was too loud. This is a place for young people.

                                                                                                                                    Warm welcome, cozy relaxed cafe. Fantastic food and coffee. We had the eggs Benedict and a coffee (latte and a flat white). Libby (our server) was attentive, friendly and anticipated our needs. The food was served on warm plates - I mention this as we all know it can be really frustrating when you get served hot food on stone cold plates.

The staff, the decor, the vibe, the food....everything was amazing. Definitely book, as the place is always rammed and they were turning people away every five minutes! We ate the Banana Tumble which was so good and very filling, and the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and their home made soda bread toast. Honestly, can't wait to return.

Beautiful setting in a small room. Cosy feel. Food was brought out and was very fresh and finished very elegantly. Brought out some banana bread for birthday treat!! Cannot fault this place at all. All staff treated us so well and I 100% will be back. Thanks so much for making my partner's birthday that little bit more special.

We had a full breakfast and a veggie breakfast and both were delicious - fresh, good ingredients, and hot. Quirky venue, nice mix of old and contemporary bits and pieces, and lovely crockery. Only negative was the price - bill was almost £60 for a couple of breakfasts, coffees and OJs. To be expected for the capital though and wouldn't prevent me from returning.

We knew that as a table of 3 booked for 11am ee only had 1hr 15mins slot. So we were more than a little surprised when a waiter told us at 11.55pm that we only had a few mins as the next guests would be arriving at 12. It did mar our brunch and we wouldn't rush back because of it

Our apologies for this, we don't want anyone to feel rushed like this. I looked back and saw what happened in the system, as you were 10 minutes early for you booking (which is fantatsic, thank you) you were sat early as your table was ready for you. That is when the 'clock' on the system started ticking. This was our mistake, and you should have recieved the 'bonus 10 minutes' on your table. I do hope this response satisfies you and we can welcome you back again soon, your feedback has been passed onto the team! Jen :)

I was there on my own for a quick lunch and felt very welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm and the staff were all so accommodating. My server even asked if I would like to move to a nicer seat in the window when it became available. The food is always of the highest quality and I thoroughly enjoyed my salad and coffee. Can’t recommend this place enough!

                                                                                                                                    What a lovely spot to grab some high quality breakfast. Visited here in-between night's of clinical trials that I was participating in at the Royal Infirmary and the Full Scottish really hit the spot after a long night. The hash brown especially was one of the best things I've tasted on a breakfast, I could have eaten 10 of them! Service was so warm and welcoming to top everything off. Some may find the prices a little steep but I think they are fairly standard for a nice, trendy place like this in town and for the quality of the food I thought it was more than fair. Will 100% be back, especially to try the Banana Bread Tumble next time!

It didn't disappoint, the food was delicious and the servers very polite and attentive. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Edinburgh or Amsterdam

I’m afraid I don’t remember their name but a super lovely woman with short blonde hair commented on my sisters earrings and it was so wholesome and lovely and she was just so so sweet. It’s such a lovely place and definitely my favourite brunch spot in Edinburgh.

We are a busy place and our vibe is lively indeed especially on weekends. This is our style, but always happy to accomodate if someone does feel cramped. We have many spots in the restaurant that have a little more space and go to great efforts to move guests to another table if they so wish. Our window tables are popular and spacious, if you choose to pop in again; Please do not hesitate to request a window seat on your booking! Jen, Director
