In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

Food lovely . Service started strong, but it ended up with us chasing down waitress for puds, coffees and bill. They all seemed to be huddled behind the till. When they did serve all good but service shouldn't have to be chased to the extent it was. Didn't leave a tip! Would recommend with caveat can be pricey and service not brill.

We took our friends for a meal having booked a table in the morning. It was a very nice lunch at a good price

Normally have nothing but good things to say about greendale restaurant, but not this time, got seated and an extremely long wait for anyone to come over even just to take our drinks. We then had an even longer wait to have our food order taken, eventually I ordered a med-rare steak baguette, and after a thirty minute wait from ordering to getting my food, the baguette came out nothing less than well done. Extremely disappointed with service and customer satisfaction this time round.

Really lovely food but think the piece of cod loin i has was very small for the £20 price. The potato the cod sat on was bigger.

Food great, service great. But…. Outdoor seating is not outdoor. It’s a greenhouse. Booking a table in May really shouldn’t need Perspex all around blocking out any air, and 2 measly fans that don’t do anything. Keep the roofing bit open up the “outdoor area” please!
