Food was lovely but could have been hotter, food and plates were lukewarm by the time they got to us. Serivce a little disorganised at times. Lovely evening but not as polished as it should be given the reputation and pricing.

Endroit très sonore où l’on peine à s’entendre. Le service s’annonce professionnel en nous donnant le nom des serveuses or le service est globalement très moyen . Pas de cuillère pour servir les légumes , la fin de la bouteille versé dans un seul verre sans demander à l’autre convive s’il en veut… Les épinards en salade servi avec des noix de macadamias sucrées étaient très surprenants . Le bœuf Wellington était délicieux , l’agneau aussi. En revanche la sole entière était recouverte de crème qui gâchait la dégustation. Bref un dîner assez moyen

My husband and I had dinner here two nights ago and we cannot say enough good things about this place!! The food was mind-blowingly delicious and the service was over-the-top fantastic!! Eva and Elena served us and Eva provided spot-on recommendations for us and Elena was so knowledgeable and so wonderful, she even provided us with a custom itinerary for Sicily (which is where she is from)!! The bar tender even came out to specifically inquire about my husband’s Gin Martin and to suggest a slight variation on his next one! My husband took him up on his recommendation and was very impressed!! Just really really really fantastic! My husband and I are still raving about every single aspect of our experience there!! Definitely go!!!!

We have visited grazing several times now, the food and service are always amazing. On this occasion we were served by Eva and Michael they were wonderful and made our evening extra special we would highly recommend visiting here for a special occasion

Incredible menu & outstanding service! Elena, Eva & Ellis were simply outstanding. It was my mother's birthday and the staff went out of their way to make our dinner extraordinary! Honestly we couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Hidden gem in Edinburgh!!

Outstanding food and service in a casual room of the Waldorf Astoria. Venison was perfectly cooked with an au jus to die for. Sticky toffee pudding souffle is a must. Even the bread was special. Reasonably priced given the quality of the food and service. Top notch.

We went here for my partner's birthday. He was greeted with a glass of prosecco on the house, which was lovely. We had the tasting menu, he the meat, me the vegetarian. They didn't have the vegetarian menu available for me to see and there was much confusion at the start as to who was serving us, who was finding the menu, 3 people came and asked us if we were ready to order when I said I was waiting on the vegetarian menu. Turns out they didn't have one printed. So I got beetroot for my first course and my second course, it seems quickly put together with not much thought in comparison to my partner's. He enjoyed his four courses out of 5. We both could not eat the 5th course, the rhubarb was so tart it was inedible. We had the wine paired with the food and each glass was well complimented with the food. I paid a handsome amount for this meal so I'm disappointed in the vegetarian lack of menu, lack of knowledge of the options for me and the 5th course.

We had such a wonderful experience at Grazing this week! We had the best server and bartender that were SO kind and attentive. Definitely made it such a special night! I would absolutely recommend for a date night or special occasion!

We managed to book a table last minute during our Edinburgh trip for a Friday night at 7:45pm. Service was good however as we sat down we were told about the house special of the beef wellington, 10 minutes later when we tried to order this we were told there wasn’t any left? Odd that you would advertise this then not have it in stock especially when it’s the house special and it’s already sold out at 8 on a peak night It also doesn’t detail that it’s in a hotel which is slightly odd as you have to walk through the hotel reception and bar to get to it Soufflé is a must and was highlight of the meal

Lovely first visit to Grazing. A lot of options and variety on food. First time having beef wellington which was really nice. The pudding was lovely but maybe a bit more ice cream would have been good!

I visited Grazing with my lady friend on Friday 16th February to celebrate my 65th birthday. The quality of the food, ambience and professionalism of the staff are absolutely superb. An impressive menu and wine list make the restaurant a delight to visit, while the waiting and FOH staff are exceedingly attentive (they can help you choose your meal and advise on the best wine to go with it). A special mention to Caitlin who, only two weeks into her job, provided excellent service and advice. On her recommendation I have acquired a taste for Lebanese red wine! A big "thank you" to Grazing for a lovely evening and wonderful dining experience.

We had the valentines menu and I have to say the experience from beginning to end was outstanding! The service was fabulous, from the managers to the waiters who looked after us. They were so welcoming and kind! They made sure we had everything we needed. So attentive!! Honestly we were all so impressed. Our glasses were always full and they explained every course with brilliant detail. Couldn’t thank the team enough. We had the most wonderful evening!! Thank you

Becare if you ask for water £5.00 a bottle. PLUS if you have a drink before your meal it cost me £27.00 for 2 gin and tonics. UNDERSTAND it's a high class hotel but still expensive.

We had a voucher for a 3 course tasting meal which was NOT available. This was very disappointing. They did give us a 3 course meal after quite a bit of discussion with the manager. A nice meal but not what we had been expecting.

Our party of 3 had an incredible meal. For some reason there were very few bookings that night so I imagine the staff was extra attentive, however, I also would say they would be attentive not matter what. It was a lovely meal and the wine & whiskey parings were spot on!

A few hiccups with the meal, wrong starter brought out, one of the mains selected turned out to be unavailable and finally a side order of baby potatoes was delivered as fries and when queried, apparently the side was also out of availability. The main waiter did come over and apologise, apparently Chef had not informed him that the potatoes were unavailable, but it would have been nice to know this in advance and have the option of choosing something else. The 12.5 % service charge was still added to the bill despite these blips, however at such an establishment I feel that this was somewhat cheeky!

Cannot praise this venue enough. Booked as we were staying in the hotel for our wedding anniversary and they made us feel so welcome! The food was by far the best meal I've had. Ravioli to start, Beef Wellington and a fabulous pudding...honestly, the Beef Wellington was out of this world.

Very good food, described by professional friendly staff. Overheard them talking to tourists from the attached hotel. They were keen and engaging with them too. Bit expensive, but an enjoyable meal. This was very early for us, so lacking a little in atmosphere.

We mistakenly arrived late for our booking - our mistake. Rather than tell us we couldn’t be seated, the floor captain seated us and then harassed us through the fastest “luxury” meal I have had in my life. As we were sitting and before we had picked up the menus, he whipped out a pen and told us we needed to order immediately. Came back after we ordered to tell us that they were out of everything that we ordered - one appetizer out of six or so available, only half the entrees. The same throughout the meal and the “is that it? Are you finished yet?” All out of dessert, although it was being delivered nearby. Half the dining room around us was still seated and ordering courses. The table next to us was seated at the same time we were and did not receive the same treatment. It was baffling and enraging. The rest of the wait staff was very kind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Grazing. All the staff were friendly and very attentive and each course was delicious. My salmon was perfectly cooked and my husband said his sirloin steak was perhaps the best he’s had in England (he’s American and likes his steak!). We rarely eat dessert but it was a special occasion and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Soufflé was out of this world (if you love caramel)! Would definitely return.

Food isn’t everything. Timing and service contribute as much to the overall experience as the food. We were very disappointed that with a two-hour window we could not relax and enjoy a three-course dinner. We overlooked very slow service in August, chalking it up to Festival, but this experience was the same. Can’t say we won’t go back, because the sticky toffee pudding soufflé is so good, but last night was not fun.
