Waitstaff person was not focused on what we ordered and brought us an incorrect item. Wine person was verbose and cryptic in his answers to our questions. Also the wine was mediocre. Would not choose this place again when in Nashville.

Ok we really had little to choose from the menu ….too electric for our tastes. Our server was horrible, never smiled, confused over drinks she never heard of apparently. Paid good money to eat just to listen to loud mouth 20 somethings for our entire meal. Never saw management ask them to quiet down. Never will return

I ordered striped bass ($37). At my questioning, the waitress confirmed it would be a "large" portion of fish. It was anything but large, and it was dry. Another in my party ordered smoked beef cheeks over grits ($32). Very disappointing. Three others ordered salads, which looked OK but nothing unusual.

I really enjoy G&D, it’s our go-to for brunch when we’re headed to an early TPAC show. This visit I got the Breakfast Bowl- was good but slightly disappointed. Listed to have pork belly (excellent but only 4 small bites), cheesy eggs (honestly couldn’t see or taste cheese at all), grits, potatoes, garlic crunch (which was not there) and hot sauce (fabulous). Maybe I just built it up too much…. The service was spectacular, I’ll be back!

Needed some last minute reservations on a Friday night for family from out of town and all our usual places were booked. Good thing our we would not have discovered G&D. Our server’s name was Sam and he was outstanding. Gave us good recommendations and kept our cocktails fresh. Got the 3 dip app and all 3 were excellent. We’d never seen dips like these and were a bit skeptical, but they were amazing. We ordered the Sea Bass, Fried Chicken and the Grits and Beef Cheeks. All three were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The Sea Bass was the standout for sure though. Such a great flavor. And on top of that, for the SoBro area the prices were super reasonable. Great experience all the way around. This place is a hidden gem. Thank you, we’ll add it to the rotation for sure.

It was a little empty upon arrival, but we did arrive after 9 PM. The food was good. They had an amazing wine list. The cocktails looked a little esoteric, but the two we had were pretty damn good even though we got there and it seemed like they were cleaning up. They didn’t rush us out, which was a breath of fresh air. I’m glad we took a chance on this place, we will definitely be returning

this is my favorite restaurant in n'ville - the location is great. i have dined here at least 20 times. i love the ambience, and the physical set up of the restaurant. the menu selections change with the seasons. the food is always well prepared and the service is outstanding. whenever i have guests in from out of town, this is my go to spot. the cocktail and wine selections are great, it's nice to sit at the bar and have a drink as well. love this place....

Food was good but there was close to none provided and I don't eat a lot and neither does my gf (in total weigh 300 lbs). Server spilled stuff, didn't communicate anything, chefs were only good part. The owner or manager ran up to us as we were leaving and asked if we paid which was weird and had never happened to me anywhere before. Signed up for the experience once and wouldn't let any of my friends go back- not for the $250 we paid or anything even close. Would rather go to printers and get a daddys dog for 1/20th the price and it'd actually fill me up. May be different with different people and menu but I'm not risking it. Atmosphere was kinda cool. Just poorly executed

There were not many people eating which made us nervous upon our arrival, but the food and drinks were great. We shared the fried chicken and the dips and spreads. Also, the brussels were fantastic! I would recommend for a quiet, intimate dinner location. Then we walked next door to Black rabbit for live music.

Appetizer plates were good. Entrees mediocre. My burger was great but wife’s squash salad very uninspiring. Good drinks and great service (but place was almost empty so it should have been).

Feeling the strong need to comment on our dining experience at Gray and Dudley NYE night. Avery took us through the menu options and was “spot on” with everything. The coconut tequila was easily the smoothest tequila I have ever had. Get it chilled, you will not be disappointed. We shared a bowl of the Ham and Bean soup which is a flavor explosion. Loved it. My wife had the fried chicken and it was perfectly prepared. Prettiest fried chicken I have ever seen. The cornbread that accompanied it was also hands down, best I’ve ever tasted. I want that recipe, haha. I had the Steak Frites and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the frites were super tasty. Highly recommend Gray and Dudley. Keep an eye out for Eric, the hardest working food and beverage manager around.

The menu was different than was posted on website. It is a bit eclectic. The fish was dropped bass and it was very good. I got a burger as nothing else appealed to me. It was good and was served with fries. The cornbread cobbler was a bit dry and would have been much better if it was served with more than a small dollop of ice cream.

The food was delicious. Four stars I just because the eggs in my grits bowl were very salty. It wasn’t enough to make me not eat the food, but it did put the flavors out of balance.

This restaurant was supposed to be in a 21c hotel. The hotel moved out 3 months ago. There were only 2 other people in the who restaurant when we arrived at 7:00.

Great service. Love the atmosphere and close to printer alley. Would come again. We had one small issue and the server took care of it right away and made it right. Food was delicious. Bread/spreads Shrimp and grits and brussel sprouts! Yum

Honestly, it was just ok. The food was ok. The restaurant is nice enough. The service was horrible. They were not that busy but our waiter was incredibly slow. Probably a one and done for me.

We absolutely love the ambiance of Gray and Dudley. We had a very nice bottle of Chardonnay with dinner. We started with the house-made fries and enjoyed the grilled pork chop. We passed on dessert and had old fashion cocktails. I absolutely love the lighting and the vibe. The service was perfect and the staff excellent!

Rib eye was tough and little too much fatty and 2 small pieces of bone. It was cooked to my chosen temperature . Salad was delicious.

“Pork Chop” was salty chewy sliced pork. Fish of day was also salty and did not seem fresh . Price too high for food served. Apps prior day in bar area were good. Staff were great.

We visited on a quiet Saturday evening and we were seated in a booth in the bar. We started with the Olive Tapanade, a simple starter with plenty of accompaniaments for two. We liked skillet bread the best. We continued with the Citrus Salad which was a perfect counterpoint to the Olive Tapanade, knight and fresh. My wife chose the market fish, Tile over vegetables and leek puree, which she loved, for the main course. I ordered the duck breast, which was perfectly done. Medium and tender with a nice crust. We finished with the chocolate chip cookies, almost as good as Mom's. All in all, a lovely dinner.

Outstanding service, unfortunately, my husbands steak was very think and flavorless. Shrimp and grits were good, but skimpy on the shrimp and grits.
