Service and ambiance was wonderful. Food was very over done and tasteless. Could hardly cut the chicken on my Mediterranean chicken dish and the asparagus was mushy Too bad for a beautiful restaurant.

This was our first trip to Granite City. We were fairly impressed. The food was good and the service was good also. We are planning a return trip to sample some of the other food offerings.

We came here for Easter brunch with my extended family, and I was very disappointed at the lack of refills on the brunch buffet. Items were cold straight out of the serving dishes, and there was hardly any prime rib or ham.

The Waster brunch was average at best. Eggs were hotel pan, cinnamon rolls tasted like paint, salmon was incredibly dry. The peel and eat shrimp was good, as was the pasta. I would not recommend.

Asian shrimp appetizer was delicious! Chicken pot pie was very good. Friday Fish Fry disappointing. Never got malt vinegar—Took from another table. Took forever to get second helping of fish. Fries were blah! Right out of crinkle freezer bag. French 75 not authentic—didn’t use gin(vodka), too much simple syrup, no bubbles!! Ask not to be seated in area with tables of 10!! Two tables reserved by large group who continued to socialize out of their seats while we were trying to eat next to them. Waiters asked them to please be seated to no avail for several. More people than they had reserved seats. Asked to be seated in empty booth next to us,were told it was reserved—sorry for that couple when they arrived.

…I was very pleased with the fact that it was a very mixed Melting’s pot of people there…I went for st. Patrick’s brunch, from the food, the music, the other people also dining….it was a pretty cool experience…!

Average all around. Food was OK. Nothing stood out. Plates were never picked up from table until after we left. Server was nice but too busy with a large party.

I should have listened to my husband. But I really wanted to give them a chance. We went there years ago and said we would never go back. How do you serve chips and salsa as a side to spicy Asian chicken tacos? Husband’s burger was hot but fries were like warm at best. I think left over food on banquets and the floor at 6:30 might have been another sign.

We were the in town from Cincinnati for a volleyball tournament. We had a party of 23 people taking up 3 large tables. Our waitress, Daniella?, was very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I organized a party of 23 for lunch, and we were very pleased with the food and service. The staff was extremely efficient, from taking our orders to handling separate checks. I ordered the Mix and Match lunch with a half sandwich and a cup of soup. The chicken tortilla soup was delicious, and I enjoyed the Turkey Overlook sandwich on excellent multi-grain bread. Our monthly luncheon group will definitely return, and I will remember Granite City for dinner as well.

Had a great experience with service and food; only negative was the gentleman at the table next to us (one of the oval booths) was so loud that we couldn’t hear our own conversations with one another.

The Lawless Brunch was fantastic as were the bottomless mimosas! I highly recommend this! Everything was tasty, hot, fresh. I only had a small sample of the prime rib, but it looked yummy and I loved being able to have both breakfast food as well as lunch food. The jambalaya on the buffet was delish!
