Very pleasant experience this past Mother's Day. Despite it being extra busy, our server Jake was timely & we didn't wait noticeably longer than usual for our meals.

We had a good time on Mother’s Day with my wife and two kids they all enjoyed. Good experience in on time food great service was good was a lil busy thinking because of holiday

I truly hate to give Grand Tavern a bad review, as I have never previously had a bad meal at this restaurant and visit frequently. However, the Mother's Day Brunch was so disappointing. When we were shocked by the length of the buffet line the staff said "Oh it goes quick!" No, it did not. The wait for food, meaning the time we stood in the buffet line that wrapped around the entire restaurant, just to get to the food stations, was 30 minutes. And the length of the line was the same our entire visit. My 79-yr old father couldn't stand for that long and had to sit alone at the table for half an hour by himself and then join us as we got close to the line. A second trip was not feasible. In addition, the poor people sitting in the booths by the wall had people standing next to them waiting in line, basically a view of people's backsides during their entire dining experience. The hold up seemed to be the made-to-order crepe station and omelet station, which should have been eliminated or located elsewhere. Just too many people to try to accommodate. Once through the line, sadly the food was not up to Grand Tavern standards. The prime rib and brisket had no flavor, and several items were "repeats", i.e., shells stuffed with a ricotta cheese mix, and then ravioli with the exact same cheese. The chicken picatta, one of my favorite dishes there, was tough and bland. Beef cubes in gravy were terribly fatty. For the price of $37 per person it was a very disappointing experience.

The food quality and conditions of silverware and plates have greatly depleted. There was hair on the serving station of the buffet and it was hard to find clean plates and silverware. The food quality is not good. The grits were like soupy, eggs were like water, potatoes burnt and the salmon was not flavored.

Usually our experience is much better. Unfortunately our intended server had to leave. No one came to our table for 25 minutes. We had to notify them that we needed service. The person later assigned to us was visibly put out by the additional responsibility. We were treated like we were an inconvenience. Hopefully this was a one-off experience and not the new normal.

It appeared to be poorly managed and unorganized at the host stand. It took 15 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the server, and 20 minutes to get our drinks.

We were there for the Easter Buffet. The staff did an amazing job for the amount of people that were in the restaurant at the time we were there. We were pleased with the selection of the buffet, but were surprised not to see ham, especially since it was Easter. One downside to the buffet were the lines were very long and I think part of it was due to where the omelet station was located. It seemed to get bottle necked there. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience!

Our server Natalie was very good with our group. The food was very tasty and fresh. We go here for our monthly gathering of our bible study group.

Reception was confusing. We went to the bar waiting for a booth to open but had to remind the reception that we were still waiting.

The service was great. Unfortunately, the rest was not. It was crazy loud, with guests trying to hear each other over the loud and unnecessary music, much like a sports bar. My cedar plank salmon and pilaf were edible, but tasted the same. Same with my husband's fajitas and pilaf.

The service was really good. But the food was just not good. It came out of the kitchen very fast even though it was packed. Maybe that was part of the problem. I had the prime rib sandwich and my bun was soggy and soaked before I ever attempted to use the au jus.

Was really busy so it took awhile for our server to get to us. Also I asked for lamb chops mine and the other person I was with asked for medium. Mine were cooked correct but his was more on the rare side.

We had a great server. She gave us some great recommendations on food. Goos service and great food. We meet there monthly as a group and are very happy with the restaurant.

First time trying this place. Met my parents halfway in driving time for a late lunch/dinner. You get a lot of food for the prices. I had the mushroom Swiss burger / fries. Food was delicious and the fries were amazing. The noise level is adequate for having conversation. Overall, will be back

Was seated at bar, even though we requested dining room. Noise level high. Mushroom and onion soups were good. Perch and crab cakes were bland and mushy in texture. Pilaf rice was crunchy. Vegetables bland. Service was rushed however waiter was attentive. Will not go there again.

Went on a typical Saturday night, they were busy but the staff was attentive and checked in often. The food was okay, i would still go back and give other menu items a try. Overall, i’d say good place to go for friendly dinners/dates. Casual ambiance and closely placed tables.

It was easy to book a table and we were seated right away. Our server, Nick, was great and very attentive! However, the food was just okay. The kitchen was out of a variety of staple side items (mashed potatoes) and flavor was lacking in 3/5 of our meals. Probably will not visit this restaurant again but prices were fair.

My Daughter and I had Saturday brunch. Very delicious. However we had to make our reservation early 10:00 am which is when they first opened. I would wait a little while after 10 as the food was still a little cold. Great service and great food selection for brunch. Will go back.

The menus were janky and left at the end of the table, we weren’t given enough utensils, our plates were dirty upon delivery. We had 5 meals total, the burgers were overcooked, the Mac and cheese was Kraft… needless to say this was one of the worse restaurants we’ve been too. To top it all off we came here to celebrate my fathers birthday. We brought in balloons, it was written in the reservation and everything, yet no one acknowledged him. Keep searching, there are better options out there.
