Excellent birthday brunch! Eggs Florentine for two, french toast with fruit for the table and a breakfast sandwich. Irish coffee for the birthday person! Everything was fantastic as always. This location and also Lake Merritt location are dependable go-to eateries. We have never had a bad meal and we have been going since GLK LM first opened. Also a great place to bring out of town guests.

First time at the restaurant. Our server was great. My entrée was ok I thought the portion size was a little small to be dinner.

Parking was a little difficult to find on a late Sunday morning, but everything else about this was great. We sat on their outdoor patio and ordered the strawberry French toast and the chilaquiles, which I think was the best version of that dish I've tasted yet. The chips were so crispy, and the rest of the flavors were bright and fresh. Our servers were friendly and the energy was relaxed and fun. Also love their little gift store inside - I bought a few really great greeting cards!

Very nice dinner at GLK. The Penne entree was delicious, as was the Rainbow Trout. The Hangar Steak was very good, but the star of that dish was the potatoes! We also enjoyed a shared side of the Brussel Sprouts. The restaurant is very plain and seemed to have a low energy level on a Thursday evening. Our server was great though and space is clean and comfortable.

Came here for Mother’s Day dinner with family. It was a busy night, and Service staff were attentive and helpful. Food quality was mixed: Char Siu pork chop was en pointe, they ran out of burgers buns & served with sliced bread (made it too filling), and the eggplant parm was way undercooked and salty. The fried Brussels sprouts was delish! Wish they were up front about running out of buns.

Compared to weekend brunch, dinner left something to be desired. Service and kitchen were both slow (took about 40-45 minutes to get food). It was dinner after Mother’s Day brunch and some items were replaced without being informed (for example, the Banh mi Acme roll was replaced by rye sourdough, and I wouldn’t have ordered it had I known). All in all, I would give it another chance since this was the aftermath of Mother’s Day.

Had a lovely Mother's Day brunch at one of the outdoor tables. Menu had so many delicious sounding dishes, we will have to go back!
