La mission du Gracias Madre est de célébrer et de servir la présence de cette mère omniprésente, dans les cœurs comme dans la terre, et de tous ceux qui nourrissent cette terre. Le restaurant sert une cuisine inspirée des cuisines du Mexique, faite à partir d'ingrédients biologiques cultivés localement. Venez prendre place à la table de l'amour. L'idée du Gracias Madre provient des visites des familles mexicaines des employés du restaurant. La mission est double : proposer une nourriture mexicaine biologique aux communautés à proximité et honorer ces mères mexicaines qui travaillent sans relâche dans leurs cuisines, souvent seules avec leurs enfants, pendant que leurs maris travaillent en Californie. Inspiré par quelques-unes des recettes de ces familles et de l'amour maternel, le Gracias Madre sert la cuisine de la chef Chandra Gilbert, faite à partir de produits biologiques provenant de fermes locales, pleine de saveurs et d'amour. Une sélection de cocktails à base d'agave du chef des boissons Jason Eisner agémente le menu.

We were very excited to finally go to this restaurant. We reserved a patio seat, but upon arriving, discovered they were playing very loud music in the patio. We moved indoors, but the music was just as loud. The food was great. The ambience that we experienced was subpar due to the loud music.

We have been going to Gracias Madre for years. We like to sit in the tree covered patio. The service has always been excellent, But it's about their food. The food just keeps getting better and better, even when they rotate their menu. They have been around for 10 years, and I hope they will be around for many more.

We recently dined here and loved the service and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful and attentive, especially our server Anthony, who was helpful in explaining the dishes to us. However, the loud music and noisy patrons detracted from the experience. My main concern is the lack of flavor. There was no hint of cumin, oregano, garlic, cilantro, or any heat from jalapeños or peppers. Despite the restaurant’s great reviews and ten-year history, it seems the kitchen has lost its touch. The flautas, despite their appealing presentation, were a major disappointment. They lacked texture and flavor, and the filling was saturated with old oil. The empanadas were similarly flavorless and seemed more like fried corn tortillas with a bland, baby-puree-like filling. Those that know what an empanadas are will know that this is a fried corn tortilla and not an empanada. The trio tacos were the worst I’ve ever had. The jackfruit and fried mushrooms were devoid of flavor, and the corn tortillas were oily and soggy. As a vegan who loves exploring vegan restaurants, I found their vegan offerings mediocre and below average food. Although a great presentation and beautiful color doesn’t equal flavor. Finally, the coconut flan was a major letdown. It lacked flavor and had the consistency of bland custard, more akin to wet wax than a proper flan. I enjoy discovering and trying new vegan places, but unfortunately, this restaurant falls short on its meals.

The food was excellent. The server was kind and friendly and efficient. My date and I had a time constraint which I outlined in my reservation and they met the expectation. The food and experience were amazing!

Amazing food!! We had no idea this establishment was all vegan - but the food was outstanding! The flavors were carefully curated and tasted amazing. Drinks were equally delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Overall, we love this place. Food is good (but pricey). Service is excellent and I really appreciate their attention to detail, warmth, and clear love and pride of their work. We went on Pride weekend, so we knew it would be bustling. I was not expecting the music to be as loud as it was - it was difficult to talk. So, normally love the quiet atmosphere. Yesterday, the music volume could have been way lower and still had the same fun vibe.
