Gordon Tavern Coming Soon! Located inside of the art-centric Gordon Hotel. Chef Cliff Denny has been inspired and influenced by traveling the world, working with some of the most extraordinary chefs. The menu is Modern American with a European influence, paired with an extensive west coast wine list, artisan craft cocktails, and local beers on draft.

                                                Server was great! Host was great. The food portions were small. I asked for the pasta with shrimp super well done and the shrimp were barely cooked. It also says comes with spring vegetables and there was only one small piece of a broccoli end. Pasta also came like warm.

                                                The food was priced well and delicious. Staff was thoughtful and caring, and it was very busy. Eugene is lucky!

                                                Despite having made our reservation more than a couple months in advance, we were surprised to be seated upstairs in the Mexican restaurant instead of the nicer downstairs dining area. In addition, we couldn't get anyone to stop by and take our drink order, so instead we just got up and went to the buffet. We were able to eventually flag down a server to order my wife's cocktail and some coffee. The buffet offerings were generally fine, although most were lukewarm or almost cold, instead of hot. Lukewarm Eggs Benedict just doesn't cut it, unfortunately. In addition, the ham was so overcooked it lacked any moisture whatsoever and the prime rib slice I was given was approximately 60% fat. The dessert "bites" were very tasty, however, and the bacon was terrific. Finally, the menu seemed to be exactly the same as the one provided for the Gordon's Easter buffet, which we also attended, so mixing it up a bit more would have been appreciated.

                                                We will dine here again! Buffet was beautifull! We sat out side, great people watching! Servers were busy,we had bites and bubbles bottomless mimosa,which they seemed slow to refill,desserts were delishious and staff in Buffet room were really nice and I'm picky about my prime rib and yours was done to perfection!

                                                The location and atmosphere was amazing, perfect for Mothers Day. The Gordon just needs to work on its food. Eggs Benedict was cold and the English muffin not toasted. They were out of some of the food items when we went to get food. Definitely has the potential to be amazing but needs some fine tuning, which I hope they do.

                                                Made a reservation. Seated over 30 minutes before anyone even came by. Waiter screwed up drink order and ended up double charging on one of the drinks. Charged someone else’s meal to my credit card, had to fix it, then messed up both of our charges. Ended up fixing our charges, but it should not have happened. By far the worst service we’ve had there.

                                                Our party of 6 was delighted with our early Mother's Day brunch and all felt we had made the right choice as to where to gather. Wait staff was personable, efficient and accommodating. The ambiance was spacious feeling and classy. Soon upon arrival we were greeted and orders taken for our beverages. The plate of delicious donuts was an unexpected treat! Food was tasty and appealing. 5 ⭐️

                                                Love the restaurant we go there all the time we love sitting at the bar and in the courtyard, but this time they put us right next to the kitchen side door and we had brought our elderly parents. There was lot of noise, a lot of people walking by, wasn’t the best place to sit, when we got there, there was some confusion with the hostess making sure people had the right sections & moving wait staff around. I should’ve said something, but I didn’t. One of the half booth areas would’ve been better will be back. I’ll just make sure when I use Open Table to say we do not want the table next to the black curtain where the kitchen is.

                                                We love dining at Gordon Tavern. Our favorite server is Stacy. She is just the BEST!! We love Shayla, the manager as well. The food is always tasty. I typically get one of the fish offerings, and I have always been pleased. My husband and son typically get the steak, and they inhale it every time, so I take that as a good sign. The ambiance is always a fun vibe. One of my favorite places in Eugene!
