We were pleasantly surprised because when we arrived there were almost no cars in the parking lot! To be fair - we do eat early! The greeting was so nice! Everything was delish but.. the best experience was the Executive Chef. He came out to our table to talk to us about our meal. He recommended the bread pudding. Now I am a SNOB with Bread Pudding… and I was stuffed so I took it to go. IT WAS THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Make sure you try everything!!!

Our group enjoyed a delicious early dinner at Gorat’s on a Tuesday evening. Menu choices included the salmon dinner, wedge salad with shrimp, onion soup and beef filet dinner. All were very good, presented beautifully with very wait time. Atmosphere is relaxing and quiet; hostesses and waiter were friendly and provided excellent service. Parking is plentiful and close to the restaurant - a huge plus on a cold night. Great experience at one of Omaha’s classics.

Asked for naked ravioli….yet they “just ran out” at 6pm on a Saturday? Ordered medium rare filet and came out rare. There’s hundreds of other restaurants that don’t run out of basic appetizers and know how to cook a steak, won’t be back.

Everything excellent. Our server was very attentive and timed the courses just right. This restaurant is in the Top 5 in all of Omaha and has the best steaks/bar none.

Not a place I would return. The area we were seated in was brightly lit and noisy, giving it the feel of a diner with the prices of a fancy steakhouse. Disappointed

A friend introduced me to Gorat's ten years ago while I was visiting him in Omaha, and I have been raving about it to my friends and family back home. I finally had the opportunity to return to Omaha with my wife and parents a couple of weeks ago and took them here. My wife and parents both said that the steaks here were the best they've ever had in their lives! My T-bone was as amazing this time as it was ten years ago. In addition, Gorat's has a good drink menu that we took advantage of, a full bar, and they were playing live music the night we went! I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are in Omaha and looking for a steak experience you'll never forget, I highly recommend Gorat's!

Our first try for the weekend brunch offering and very impressive selection and service. We had six for the meal and each of us ordered a different dish with all very tasty and well prepared. The chicken and waffles was a hit as was the French toast. My omelette was excellent and highly recommend any of the bread offerings. The chef came to our table when we asked about the source and shared that he buys from a small local bread baker! Gorat’s is now also offering lunch during the week and looking forward to trying that!

I ordered the 12oz whiskey ribeye, probably the best tasting steak I’ve ever had. The flavor was so good.
