Jim Goode's love of seafood was born from a childhood spent along the sun-soaked Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast. It was this love for coastal dishes, Cajun flavors and time spent together that Jim passed down to his own kids - and to the plates still on our menu today.

Fresh food speaks for itself - so we don't send ours swimming in heavy sauces. Instead, our daily Gulf catch is grilled over mesquite or lightly battered and fried golden. It's this tasteful preparation that leads to mouthwatering plates worth diving into.

Piled high with shrimp and crab meat, our famous Campechana gets its kick from a special blend of pico de gallo, fire-roasted Anaheim peppers and diced avocadoes. Pair it with tortilla chips or saltines and wash it all down with a cold one. Specialty cocktails, beer and wine served daily. Times and offerings vary by location.

The hostess needs an attitude adjustment. Dillon ( manager) took amazing care of us and has amazing wait staff.

Overall just wasn't a great experience although it wasn't terrible either to be fair. Started off with us getting there on time for our reservation but still having to wait 25 mins to get a table. Mind you it was Mother's day so it was busy but it's annoying having a reservation if your just going to have to wait anyways. Then the food. I was thoroughly unimpressed. The quality of the ingredients was very good but the chef didn't do his/her part. The food was rather bland and just lacked overall deliciousness, The price for quality of seafood was good but the flavor/taste was underwhelming. Don't see myself going back considering we have so many great options in Houston.

We went for Mother’s Day and despite it being a total madhouse, they did a great job for us.

The bad was we did make a reservation and was told there would be a 15 min wait… but we just sat at the bar and had a great time… bypassing the wait…food … staff and drinks were all excellent… always a great place and a Houston Icon…

Our experience was very nice. The food was pretty good. My favorite dish was the gumbo. The service was lovely and parking was easy. The seafood was very fresh and the empanadas were a cool infusion touch.

The aesthetic & service was a 10/10. I really enjoyed the fried fish, shrimp & oysters. I was not a big fan of the stuffed items or red beans.

Easy to make reservation and no waiting on table upon arrival. Food and service excellent. Very noisy as restaurant filled.
