Inspired by long days on the Gulf, late nights on the ranch and the colorful creations of our abuela, our family's Kitchen & Cantina showcases the rich foods and traditions we grew up with on both sides of the border.

Nothing matches the flavor of food grilled over mesquite. Try wood-fired Texas quail swaddled in homemade tortillas, jalapeno rellanos stuffed with house-made chorizo and sizzling, family-style parrilladas - huge mixed platters of wild game and fresh vegetables, topped with pico de gallo and queso fresco - a unique spin on Houston barbeque.

Our days begin roasting chilies and tomatoes, rolling fresh tortillas in our bakery and wringing every last drop of Ruby Red grapefruit for cocktails. We hand-grind our own sausage and hand-trim every ounce of meat in our butchery, then anoint it with the savory seasonings and marinades we've honed over generations.

A few margaritas on our patio and you've found your new casa sweet casa.

We decided to go to a new place for brunch in observance of Cinco De Mayo and Goode. Co. Kitchen & Cantina did not disappoint. The queso with ground beef was really good and all of the food was great. The drinks were spectacular. Particularly the "Damn Good Margarita" and "Breakfast Margarita."

We love eating there because the food tastes so god also we love the good bartending ! It is a fun & lively place to dine while the dress is nice casual !

I took my sweet friend here for lunch on a Friday for her birthday. We started with the queso, shared beef fajitas, had a couple of margaritas, and finished with the tres leches. The food was good, the margaritas were tasty, and the service was excellent. Ask for JMac; he was great!

Wish we could reserve the outside patio tables too. Wrote it on the reservation notes and we even showed up 15 min early to try and snag one but no luck on a nice day. Bummer.

The food taste and service were exemplary. However, the shrimp tacos only had two shrimp per Taco. $25 for two tacos is a pricey.

This is the first time we have tried Goode Co. Cantina after many years of enjoying the other restaurants in this group. We were disappointed in the lack of flavor in the red and green salsa as well as the queso. The fish tacos were also flavorless and the Laguna Madre shrimp was mushy. With so many great Mexican restaurants on Houston, we won't be returning.

Service was awful. After being seated it took 28 minutes for a drink, server completely ignored us and finally a manager came and took our food order after waiting 45 minutes. No apology, no thank you when we paid. Never again

Great dinner at Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina. I have been to all the Goode Co. restaurants many times but this was my first time at this location. We had excellent service. Even though it was busy, Ginett was very helpful in seating us. There was a minor wait which they apologized for many times (not their fault) and offered us complementary appetizers. The manager came by to check on us and left us in great hands with our waitress, Ariana. She was wonderful. She offered suggestions and told us what she liked on the menu. The food was so good! It is the great food that we come to expect at a Goode Co. restaurant but the service was above and beyond. My aunt and uncle were visiting and they talked about the great service for days after. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We were glad to have made reservations since the place was very busy the night after Valentine’s. Melissa served us with excellence. And the food is top notch. Never have had a disappointing experience at Goode Co Cantina.

Went for Valentines day. Server was a little awkward and slow at order taking, recalling my order and I had to re-clarify a few things. Nothing breaking. Only thing that annoyed me was I wanted a Michelada and they were out of an ingredient. Then I wanted a spicy habenaro margarita and they were again out of an ingredient. Settled with a couple drinks I didn't really want. The food was hot, fast and fresh. Overall 3/5. Would be 4/5 if they had the beverages I wanted.

Reminiscent of the old local places we grew up eating in, with much better food! Warm service and a restrained atmosphere - jovial but not crazy loud like most of Houston these days. By the way, the Tres Hombres is as good an entree as you can get for Tex Mex anywhere.

I enjoyed the restaurant. I didn't like the item I ordered. There were only two shrimp with about two cups of slaw per taco on the shrimp tacos that cost $25. Seems skimpy on the shrimp especially for the cost.

Service was flawless, attentive. The bartender made excellent spicy skinny margaritas straight up. Beef fajitas, quail and shrimp were delicious. Love the warm chips and warm salsa. Definitely our favorite Tex Mex go to restaurant.

Forcing people to valet park with 2 attendants and limited spaces making you wait 10 minutes both to drop off and pick up. Completely unacceptable and I’ve overseen major Valet Operations in a former lifetime at upscale hotels. Tacos al Carbon - the only hot item on the plate was the charros beans. Tortilla and beef stone cold. Worst experience there since it has been open. Total disappointment…

Service, food and overall experience was fabulous. Even though I came in the middle of lunch rush, they quickly sat me down and had chips and salsa at my table within 30 seconds.

We love this restaurant, but are getting a bit frustrated with the parking situation. We felt we had to valet last night because they had marked off the majority of parking places for valet parking.

Staff and all personnel we dealt with from check-in to waiters were pleasant, friendly, almost unbelievably friendly. It was the most wonderful, enjoyable experience I could’ve had with my friend who was celebrating her birthday! Shoutout to Luis— superb!

The food and drink was great as always but sure wish there was a cushion to soften the tailbone soreness from sitting on the hard wood banquette! Also wish Levi would add spicy smoked or BBQ'd (Chipotle?) pork ribs and more green vegetables to the menu. Having a spicy carne molida option to the nachos would be great too! We're big fans of GC's Cantinas & Seafood restaurants, and BBQ of course too.
