Welcome to Gold Nugget Tavern & Grille!

The Gold Nugget is home to the best burger in the Twin Cities and so say the people at the 2014 Twin Cities Burger Battle. We also feature handcrafted sandwiches, soups and salads, made from scratch in our kitchen. Our beer menu focused on local craft beers and outstanding national selections, we always have something new from our neighborhood brew masters.

Everyone in your family, on your team, or from you company can find something to please their palate. We also have a great kid’s menu and gluten-sensitive offerings.

Thanks to Julieta for attentive and prompt service. Her recommendation for my husband's entree was perfect - he enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan. I am completely hooked on the Asada Bowl and always get it. This was the first time it arrived cold - like the freshly grilled steak had sat for a while. It was still delicious. We'll be back again.

Asked for NO pink in my patty melt. It came with pink and red. Nearly rare. I didn’t tell the waitress because it had already been a long day. I was with a friend who wasn’t feeling well and I did not want either of us to have to wait for my food to be prepared the way I had asked for it. I wasn’t able to eat it. There are reasons people request no pink. The waitress took $5 off my bill. Whoopee. Our first time eating here was very disappointing.

We had cheese curds for an appetizer. The portion was generous and they were excellent tasting. For main meals we had avocado toast, a burger and a caprese chicken sandwich. They were all tasty and again generous portions. The server was just really slow and didn’t have basic server skills. We had to ask to order drinks. We had to call him back to the table to tell him we were ready to order after 10 minutes. I had to ask for refills on my Diet Coke and even then he forgot. Once he put the orders in the food came fast. Food was five stars. Service was 1 or 2 stars. Reading other reviews it seems that is par for the course. We’d go back because of the great food we will just go on a day when we have a lot of patience and time.

The golden nugget always has good food. However.. if you are a two beverage type of person don’t count on it. They’ll bring waters and if you order anything from the bar it takes longer then the food. Meanwhile before your done with your meal the bill is dropped off, no offer for dessert or another beverage. When I do go to eat there I always hope it’s a little more fun then the last time but it never fails.. food is good, service is trash.

The food and ambience was great, but dining is about the service, and it was awful. We ordered drinks when the food arrived and after asking our waitress 3x, the drinks arrived when dinner was done. Sadly, one bad experience is all it takes to turn us away.

Thanks to our server Kirsten for a nice evening and terrific service. Our entrees were delicious and served according to our requests. She kept our drinks coming and made us feel welcomed. We'll be back again.

It was a fun night at the Gold Nugget - lots of diners, families and folks having a great Saturday night. Nicole kept our drinks filled and updated on the status of our entrees coming out. We had a nice table next to the windows. My favorite Asada Bowl was delicious; I always think I'm going to try something else, but order it because it really is my favorite. My husband tries lots of different menu choices, and enjoys it every time. See you again soon.

Gold Nugget is one of our family favorites! We love the food and service. One tiny thing is that it’s pretty noisy… not sure what could be done about that?! Always have a good meal there!

Nice local space. Skews an older crowd and parking in a strip mall can be difficult. Have been a number of times with family and friends. The food is always ok, never really bod nor great. The service can be hit or miss. Never the same staff which is odd for a local place. Drinks at bar aren’t mixed well and not a good wine selection. I have had a great service in past but last server became visibly annoyed when there was a delay in ordering and cleared drinks/plates that were not empty without first asking if done. We get it you are done for the night and want us to leave. You can find better establishments to spend your money.

First time here and really enjoyed the food. Large portions. Jambalaya is excellent and very flavorful. Poke Bowl had nice spice/zing to it and very good size. Will come back.

We went for Happy Hour and were pleased with the specials on appetizers and liquor. The service was very good and the food was tasty. Sat in the bar so it was a little noisy but not too bad.

They didn’t have a reservation for us, I had the confirmation on my phone. Food was ok, and service a bit slow. I had the fish n chips, the batter on 5he fish was kind of soggy, guess I should’ve asked for xtra crispy.

It was a bit disappointing. My husband and I go there frequently and really like it so it seemed natural we take our family there for my birthday, even adding that we were celebrating my birthday to the reservation. At no time was my birthday mentioned or acknowledged. We had to ask for things multiple times like beverage refills, booster seat, etc. My daughter mentioned a birthday dessert and I ordered choc layer cake. They brought us red velvet, then took that back and brought the right one. I was charged for both w only one (the red velvet) taken off for birthday discount. I was charged $12 for my actual cake. I tried to point out to the server but she told me I was wrong. So, in essence I paid for my own birthday dessert. If I had known that, I would not have ordered a dessert. I know our server was occupied with a large party next to us so the lack of attention was somewhat understandable and I still tipped her more than 15%. Having said that, we will not be back for some time.

We were greeted quickly and brought to our table. Our server was very slow. We waited a long time for beverages, food, and check. This is not usually the case when we go tgere.

Our wonderful Chicken Parm took about 35 minutes to arrive, and our server kindly gave us free dessert. Everything about our experience with Gold Nugget over the past 4 years has been terrific--this is the first time our dinner were so slow. Service was excellent, as always. We'll be back!

Great atmosphere! Many thanks to our waiter Mike for friendly and attentive service. One of the Chef’s weekly special was beef stroganoff - excellent - must try! Menu choices for food and beer are very good. We’ll be going back soon.
