Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads and adventurers!

    Every single dish is phenomenal. The family sharing style allows you to have a taste of everything. One of my favorite places in LA!

    Best bread, hummus, corn and string beans ever. Did not get to try the meat entrees as we were with vegetarians, but they looked delicious, too. Knowledgable service, great cocktails, too.

    The service was great and the food is amazing. Consistently good service and food every time we come back. The food is a mix of flavors and quality I guarantee you don’t see very often

    At 6:45 they were already out of their signature dish-- goat curry. The food is consistently different delicious and unique. We've been many times and are finding now the service to be a bit lackluster and dispassionate. Whereas before there was quite much more enthusiasm and attempt to make a special evening for its patrons. Maybe we just had a waiter having an off day

    The food was good but not as good as we expected it to be. Also, the 4% surcharge and then charge to pay through the QR code were ridiculous.

    Went in for a 1:45pm outdoor reservation upon arrival table was not ready and was offered table inside, not a problem sat at the table, we quickly picked what we wanted 2 ppl 2 mains 2 sides Fried rice omelet / Biscuit / bacon and potatoes While placing the order server recommended the potato dish over the side of potatoes I let him know we had made a choice and he insisted to the point that passively aggressive tone said “You can order wherever you want I’m just saying this is better” no manager touch the table or checked on us While having our last few bites another female walked over and loudly told the server “all in on desserts” working in hospitality I know what that means we asked for our check and left Total time in venue 25min
