The Afternoon Tea Ritual is a quintessential St. Regis tradition and an important part of our culture. The story of afternoon tea date back to Anna, Duchess of Bedford who is considered to have invented the ceremony of the afternoon tea party. Mrs. Caroline Astor adopted the tradition stateside, offering an occasion to gather her closest intimates as a prelude to formal social events. This ceremony was then continued by her son, Jhon Jacob Astor IV, at the St. Regis New York, and ultimately around the world as a signature ritual in all of our hotels.. Our exquisite afternoon tea ritual offer is presented in Oriente Italiano™ c/o Ginori 1735. La Via del Tè is particularly sensitive to environmental and ethical issues.

We ate our meals accompanied by the magnificent view. They were extremely caring and polite. I couldn't have celebrated my 50th birthday better. Thank you💯🥂🥳🥳

Beautiful patio and excellent service. The sashimi and pasta starters were superb. We each opted for the steak and lamb as main entrees. And although good, this is not their strength. In hindsight I would recommend the pasta or fish. The lamb was an unusual presentation- perhaps traditional- but yielded very uneven cooking- outer pieces overcooked and tough, inner slices cooked appropriately and tender. I wouldn’t recommend this dish or presentation style. My husband’s steak was good, color appropriately, but not memorable. Overall, it was still a delightful meal and I would return to try other menu items.

For a memorable birthday celebration Gio’s did not disappoint. You are not just paying for the food but for the location, the attentive service, the beautiful views. Is it pricey? Yes, it is. But with little extras from the chef, the beautiful weather and the impeccable service it was a wonderful experience. Thank you to Enrico, the staff and especially Thomas.

Our primary waiter during their lunch was very rude about coming for drinks and dessert. He emphasized it was a “restaurant” and not “the bar”. He had to make “an exception” for how we chose to dine at the restaurant we selected and had a reservation. The staff acted offensively at us and made the entire experience uncomfortable.

Simply WOW! Everything about this dining experience is top notch from the greeting to the setting (arguably the best canal view in Venice) to the service and ambience. A wonderful experience. The 5 course tasting menu was full of outstanding gems and was well matched with the wine pairing.

Καταπληκτική ατμόσφαιρα μοναδικά θεα, αξεπέραστες γευσεις. Το afternoon tea ηταν τελειο με φανταστικές ποικιλίες τσαγιού και εκλεκτα εδεσματα συνεοδευτικα. Το προσωπικο ειναι παρα πολυ ζεστο και χαμογελαστο με τελεια εξυπηρετιση . Παντα στην Βενετια θα επιλεγουμε το Gios

Excellent dining experience in a beautiful location. We wanted to find a wonderful restaurant for our final night in Venice and we were not disappointed. Set inside the St Regis hotel, the restaurant provided impeccable service from the Maitre D' to the sommelier and the waiters, everyone was cheerful and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. We chose to sit inside because it was a bit chilly, but looked at the incredible views after dinner. You can look across at Santa Maria Salute (one of the main, famous domed churches) which is across the canal and all lit at night. I'd definitely recommend this as a great place to eat, with incredible views.

料理は場所に負けないぞと気合いが入り過ぎて空回り。そんなに凝らないで普通の料理にして欲しい。空回りしてて、そんなに旨く無い。が雰囲気は最高。料理の残念さをカバーして余る。高い価格もカバーして余る。ここに誘われた女性は一発で参るはず。なおティラミスは抜群に美味い。

A very special evening for my wife and me celebrating my 60th birthday. We started with drinks at their bar seated on their terrasse overlooking the Grand Canal. Later, when seated for dinner, our table was again perfect with gondolas and the Santa Maria della Salute basilica in the background. After an exquisite dinner, we were served birthday tiramisu and espressos on the house. Couldn't ask for a better evening.

Gio's was amazing! The food is 5 star delicious with a sommelier for wine pairing. The star of the show for us however was the cocktail bar. I would recommend going early and sitting at the bar for a drink or two. The drinks are a bit pricey, but the craft cocktails are truly an art form making it worth it!!

Mixed experience. Drinks were amazing. Food was quite good. Service was strange. We ordered cocktails and apps and asked to enjoy those before ordering our mains. The waiter returned every two minutes pressuring us to order, despite telling him multiple times that we wished to wait. Very annoying. We proceeded to order mains, a bottle of wine, dessert, and post-dinner drinks. The sommelier was very nice and knowledgeable.

5/5 for service and experience. The staff was friendly and went the extra mile for our special event that I told them about before we arrived. They definitely made us feel special! We were given multiple appetizers free of charge, and they were very different and interesting. I would call them experimental dishes for sure. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the main dishes were pretty bad. Stale, undercooked pasta and fish that did not taste fresh. I also feel that their menu is not diverse enough, so it was pretty difficult for everyone to find something they wanted. This restaurant is not advertised as experimental culinary, but it 100% is. Very unique dishes! The main course just wasn’t to our satisfaction, and we would’ve left hungry if it weren’t for the included appetizers (I liked them, my family did not). Otherwise, wonderful place to dine.

The entire dinner was amazing from the moment we were greeted. Veronica was wonderful and so helpful with the menu details. She helped us again the next morning for breakfast and she was amazing then too. The food, service and ambiance of this restaurant is a must go to. If you visit Venice be sure to eat at Gios even if you aren’t staying at the St. Regis. I highly recommend the St. Regis too though.

Cadre extraordinaire au bord du Grand Canal. Personnel gentil, attentionné et pas trop présent. Nourriture plutôt médiocre étant donné le standard de l’hôtel. Le buffet de petit-déjeuner ainsi que les plats commandés à la carte n’étaient pas à la hauteur attendue. Mais nous reviendrons, l’expérience reste magique.

Nous étions très bien placés en terrasse au bord du canal ! Il faisait très beau ☀️ Le service a été agréable et les plats bons. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le poulpe et le bœuf.

When we first arrived the service was impeccable. The lady serving us was attentive and friendly and was helpful explaining the menu changes. The sommelier was friendly and attentive topping up drinks through the meal. We were offered help with the wine menu but, as only one of us was drinking, this wasn’t needed. It was easy to select one of the 2 wine options offered by the glass. The food was amazing, compliments to the chef. The quality, portion size and flavours were a pleasure. Being my husbands birthday, Gios had arranged. Birthday tiramisu which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately when this came out we were offered no choice of desert, apperitivo or coffee. We waited for someone to do so once this was finished and, after half an hour of waiting at a dirty table, had to flag someone down to request the cheque. It is a shame the service at the end of the meal didn’t match the beginning or the service that appeared to be provided to the table next to us (who were visited 7 times while we tried to catch someone’s eye). It was a shame to end such a lovely meal so disappointed.
