I’m so excited to announce the third restaurant in partnership with hotel giant Melia, is Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street.

It’s a beautiful modern open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Old Hall Street. Talking of skylines, you have to visit Sky Bar 360 on the top floor, it’s a huge contemporary terrace which has unrivalled views over Liverpool and the River Mersey, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Pop by for a drink after work or enjoy one or two while you dine, the choice is yours.

    Ordered a medium fillet steak which must have been left on the pass as it was like leather when it arrived - we were told our steak had gone to another table instead - also side orders arrived when we had virtually finished - not the celebration we had envisioned tbh

    When our food finally arrived, it was bland, boring and bloody awful. It was meant to be a 18th birthday surprise , and it certainly was! A dreadful one!!! I’d like to spend time writing this review, but seeing as the kitchen staff could take the time serving up decent food, then neither can I write a decent review. From one Italian to another, Gino Di Campo you should be ashamed!!!

    Best Sunday roast beef dinner for years but sadly diminished by lack of horseradish sauce. Furthermore they couldn’t give our guests apple sauce with Roast Pork.

    Amazing welcome for our friends hen do lunch. I’d only requested in our booking if someone could say congratulations to her but we had 3 staff make our hen feel amazing & wish her good luck. Welcome bottle of Prosecco on the house & attentive service throughout. The food was piping hot & full of flavour. This was our last day in Liverpool & we had eaten at gaucho malmaison & the florist but this was the suprise highlight of our visit & unbelievably the best value. Thank you to all the staff that looked after us & because of this visit we all intend on visiting you again.

    I've been a huge fan of Gino's since I saw him on Gordon, Gino and Fred. This was arguably the most disappointing meal I've ever had. Not worth the money, I cannot in good faith recommend this place : l

    Not the best visit to Gino’s (unusually) my steak was not the best looking ribeye for £32 and was actually cold so the waitress had a fresh one prepared, the second was much better and actually came with a steak knife which the first didn’t. As an apology the waitress offered my Wife a free drink as she had finished her meal when mine arrived, I thought this was a nice gesture until it appeared on the bill at £13.50! We will return as we do like it and these are the first issues we’ve experienced there.

    The food was delicious and fresh. We were given plenty of time to eat each course. As part of the deal we got complimentary Prosecco and the management gave us extra glasses as there had been a bit of confusion over my booking. Great value for money in a lovely setting.

    First time visited within the Liverpool Restaurant week. After the greetings we waited more then 30min for a starter. My starter was supposed to be an Arranchini ball stuffed with bolognese ragu, but in mine there was no stuffing at all. For main we had Bolognese which was fine, but the marinated chicken was blend, the cheesy fries wasn't a cheesy fries. Just a normal fries hinted with a bit of a parmesan and it was very oily. It was a very poor experience for a very high expectation restaurant. And the value for money considering the quality we received was very poor.

    Came with my partner to celebrate her birthday, had a drink @ the sky bar before meal, was asked to move from table and chairs half way through my drink, highly embarrassing, said it was reserved but no one sat there for at Least 30 mins. Sat down for meal @ 1915 as planned. Main course was cold and was not impressed with the pink Prosecco, we usually get asked if we would like to taste it first but on this occasion we weren’t. Very disappointed and won’t be returning

    Food was at best good. Service wasn't what we expected from a restaurant of this supposed high quality. Left waiting for long periods after asking for drinks and to clear table.

    Food usually very good, we often frequent this restaurant. However, on this occasion, we were extremely dissatisfied. The food and drink was unsatisfactory due to the warm glass of wine we received and high levels of salt, this applied to both mains and starter. Bread board was also over toasted. Additionally, main courses were brought out while we were still eating our starters. Waitress was lovely but we felt under pressure to finish our meal as she kept approaching our table to see if we were finished. The best part of our meal was the sorbet. The price which we paid did in no way reflect the food and service which we received.

    A very elegant and spacious environment. On this occasion we were not in a hurry though the service was rather slow. Nevertheless would not hesitate to go again. Meal servicce was adapted to suit the occasion - my wife's birthday. So special thanks for that.

    We were a party of five and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The only criticism related to the service which started strong but when the food arrived was lacking in care due to plates and spoons not being provided with the meal which then had to be requested. Shout out to Big Jack who helped with alcohol beverages, was excellent and a pleasure to deal with. Overall a good experience but room for improvement regarding food service.

    The service was very friendly but we waited over an hour for our starters then our main course came out before we had finished our starters. Overall for two courses we were in there for 2.5 hours. The food was good when it arrived but it was ashame the service took so long.

    Place was nice and good atmosphere. Food was delicious and wasn't overpriced. Really enjoyed the courgette fries. Our waitress was really nice and had a pleasant chat with her.

    Pasta was overcooked which spoiled the overall quality of the meal. In an Italian restaurant a pasta should be cooked properly.

    My friend & I (both women in our 70’s) were made to feel very welcome by all staff members. They were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit

    Awful experience. The Restaurant prides itself on having dietary alternatives, one reason for booking. However there was no gluten free pizza bases so had to choose a pasta dish. Was under pressure to do this as the obnoxious waiter sat on the window ledge repeatedly claiming the pasta bolognese was very good. So that dish was ordered. Other guests ordered the bread sharer which allegedly came with a tomato, basil and garlic dipping sauce. What came was a bowl of chopped tinned tomatoes. Three slices or semi toasted cloves bread with a similar accompaniment were placed in front of the gluten intolerant guest with the quote “there you are darling’ - cos we’ve no pizza bases” Being constantly patronised with ‘love’ and ‘darlin’’ whilst ordering was so uncomfortable. The lack of prawn ravioli from the menu was another disappointment. Yet other dishes with prawns were available so why hadn’t ravioli been made? Ingredients were evidently available. An alternative chosen yet again which was over dressed with ….. tinned tomatoes. We overheard the waiter having an argument at the pass which included the use of expletives, perhaps to demonstrate he was passing on our disappointment to the chefs, but completely unnecessary and was just showing off. As an apology a complimentary bottle of wine was brought to the table, unfortunately too little too late. Won’t be returning that’s for sure

    The sky bar for cocktails was lovely. We ate food downstairs in the main restaurant. It was disgusting. I order the veal off the main course menu not available. Salmon no t available chicken not available. So I went with the pasta and prawns it was OK. Chairs were a little low down . One child liked the pizza the other didn't. It was my sons birthday they brought a lovely triamisu with a candle for him so that was good .bar man needed a bit more practice carrying trays of drinks nearly went all over us . I'd probably go back to the sky bar for a drink but not too the restaurant . Service was nice .
