Very average food. When you pay $185/pp, you expect there to be more innovation in the dishes. But unfortunately, the food here (whilst good) was more akin to a home style restaurant. Otherwise, ambiance and service were good.

I had the same server as my first visit and he was great. His descriptions and recommendations were on point. I definitely felt warm and welcomed. I will be back again this upcoming summer!

Everything was delicious, view and ambiance was great. Our server kept touch with our table and gave us space to catch up which I appreciated. I really appreciated the team’s dedication and recommendations. Looking forward to coming back soon.

A sublime setting, with a great view. The servers were excellent, yet relaxed. Food exceptional and extremely unique to us. Thank you Genesis House for the delicious experience... I was offered 1000 points when making the reservation on OpenTable but, never received these points... NOT Happy about that...

A very different culinary experience. First, your greeted by a robotic dog, then it feels like your in a living room, clean lines, excellent service, open, fantastic views, the food fantastic, unique drinks, and the exit, well, one feels like buying a car!

Table for six ordered 8 dishes and shared everything . . . and EVERYTHING was DELICIOUSLY flavored and perfectly seasoned so naturally with traditional Korean flavor profiles but not traditional at all. . . It was EXCEPTIONALLY DELICIOUS and done so nicely. Much props to Chef Yi! ! Also forgot to mention the WAGYO melted in our mouths like galbi butter~ It was very nice bringing out of town friend here to this exceptional Korean American NYC cuisine. Can't forget to mention that all the wait staff were super nice and pronounced everything on the menu nicely~

Perhaps the best dining experience we have had in years. And that includes our world traveling. First of all, the service was incredible. Our waiter explained how Genesis House came to be then helped us right into the best South Korean libations available. This was new for us and very much appreciated. The Holiday Tasting was out of this world good including the best abalone, cod and Waygu we’ve ever had. We spent almost 3 hours but the time flew by as we were having fun. Thanks to all the servers, who worked seamlessly together, the incredible chefs, bartenders, hosts, hostesses and anyone else I may have missed mentioning! You maid our 35th anniversary celebration very special indeed.

Great meal and helpful servers. The venue is challenging to locate even with GPS as it is not well marked and situated within an automobile exhibit facility. Delicate savory food. Extensive spirits list.

I think people who have negative reviews just misunderstood the concept at Genesis House. While the Korean Fusion types fused so much that much of Korea is lost to European influences. And the Korea comfort food in Korean Town just over spiced everything that much of the original food tastes are just smothered and covered. Genesis House takes you back to your hometown where your grandmother cooks you the simple yet elegant and sublime comfort familiarity in every dish. It is quiet meditation in every savor. And the soul is deeply satisfied, and content.

Service was great from the moment you walk in, when you get upstairs to the restaurant, and until you are seated. The bartender was super nice, chef introducing the food was great, no complaints with the level of great service from staff. UNFORTUNATELY, the food was bland, disappointing and we wanted to walk out by the third dish. It was also completely empty in there. The only reason we didn’t walk out was because the staff was incredible. We had the tasting menu and the only thing that has flavour was the braised meat dish. It was the only okay tasting dish. Dessert was also terrible, aside from the complimentary cookies they gave. I really wanted to love this place but it was a huge waste of time.

Great dining experience at the Genesis house. Tasting menu pricey but a great way to explore Korean cuisine. Beautiful room, good energy but not noisy. Attentive and knowledgeable service. Will return!

Food was amazing, service was very slow. They may be working out some kinks but it took 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. And we were one of 2 tables with people.

This place is fantastic and somehow under-the-radar. Great drink program, surprisingly good portions, such good service (they made sure my 4yo had a great time), and great flavors. Cannot recommend more.

Beautiful place, delicious food. The place should be packed, but was empty. That it is linked to a car showroom doesn’t help it. Our server was great.

It is quite an experience. It sits by the river. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of Genesiss mobile showroom. It has a balcony in the back. You either have the beautiful river view or a private balcony. Beautiful indoor decor, it's like a mansion's living room. Great selection of drink. I went to Korean Shoju and am surprised at its quality - floral but strong (it is rare to feel floral for Shoju). The food stands out here too. You can feel the freshness in each dish. Nothing is omitted. Each little bite each drop of sauce is carefully crafted. We enjoy our dinner very much and certainly will recommend this for everyone!

We had literally 6 different servers no joke. The food was fine but the service was terrible. No communication between the 20.people serving the 3 tables. They charged us for 3 items we didn't want or order. I have the general managers name. Emily who promised us a refund and she never contacted me at all. I tried to email her and it got kicked back twice. DO NOT GO HERE.

Dinner at Genesis House goes far beyond innovative dining and into a true culinary experience. I took my husband there for his birthday and it couldn't have been a better choice. The fantastic, friendly and knowledgable staff, brilliant and innovative food combined with a modern yet warm environment will have us coming back. Caution: you'll want to try everything but dining at this level doesn't come cheap. From my perspective, go for it! It's worth every penny.

We ordered the seafood salad from the tasting menu and it was one of the best dishes we've had in a long while We also got the crab rice and the cod. Both were very good. We were able to try three deserts and all were very interesting. Service was fantastic The design of the restaurant was outstanding. Views of the Hudson were nice. We got there too late for sunset, but they said it is fanastic
