They have automatic 20% gratuity. Waitress said the salad was shareable so my husband and I split it. Food runners literally dropped and left and after trying to flag someone down for an extra plate I got up and got my own. Food was absolutely delicious but for auto gratuity service was disappointing.

My group was seated on the covered patio. The decorations are pretty and festive, perfect for the birthdays we were celebrating that night. We started with the whipped feta, fig salad, and the bread as appetizers. So delicious we ordered an additional fig salad. My friends ordered the Sea Bass, Salmon, and the roasted chicken dishes. All delicious. Our server brought out some festive sparklers, along with birthday desserts to top off the evening. It was a great night! The only bummer was the parking lot was full so I parked in the adjacent lot, which was rather pricey ($52 for the 2.5 hours!) - ouch!

A local friend highly recommended. For a trendy aesthetic the food and service were excellent. All the share plates were great. Only two complaints. Would prefer the pork chop to be bone in and no port wine offerings to pair with dessert. Otherwise, excellent all around.

Space was beautiful! Making it in time for the awesome happy hour was a huge plus! Food and drinks were delicious (especially the bread and risotto).

Food, service, and atmosphere were great! We shared the cheese and charcuterie board. My spring salad was fresh and yummy. My family shared two pastas and the broccolini end enjoyed them. We’ll be back!

Mother’s Day dinner at Geist - wonderful! My mom loved the appetizers, food and drinks. Our server was wonderful and the garden patio is so cute right now!

I’ve had two great and very different experiences at Geist. The first was an impromptu date night with hubs at the bar. Live music, attentive bartenders with craft cocktails and delicious food. My second and most memorable visit was Mother’s Day. We were so thankful to be seated in the Veuve champagne garden. The hostess clearly took care with the note I wrote on my reservation. It’s rare to experience that nowadays. The garden…it was like being in another world! So magical. Madeline, our server, was a doll. Very professional, attentive and on point. The chef wowed us. Seriously! We just kept saying “oh my gosh” with every dish we tried. I could have sat there for hours. So beautiful and we felt like queens. Everyone made it a perfect day and I’m so grateful. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. Highly recommend the pork belly appetizer and the sea bass! Our server was wonderful and talked through several dishes to make them dairy free. Finished the night with a celebratory dessert that our server put together for our daughter’s birthday.

Sad to say we were disappointed! We had been in there a few months ago for a drink and the vibe was chill and mature. We were looking forward to returning for a nice night out with dinner there. We made a reservation and were surprised when we got seated in the loud bar area. We asked to be moved, but it didn't happen. Our waitress was lovely, we didn't even mind when she screwed up our order. We were surprised when another waitress brought us our correct entree. She literally tossed it down with no words, stared awkwardly at me and walked away. Then to add insult to injury the entree was cold. The original lovely waitress was kind and gracious, we totally appreciated that. So we feel like we got caught in the crossfire of an off night, but it was disappointing enough that we will not return.

Unexpected level of excellence in almost every aspect of our evening. The food was amazing…all three things we had amazingly tasted fresh…like Spring. Not surprising for the Tuna Crudo which was a strong opener, or even the Rock Shrimp pasta which had a nice level of spice, but to have a Blonde Bolognese be so light and fresh was a real treat. We’d highly recommend the homemade pastas…from previous reviews, they appear to be underserved and appreciated. Great wine pairings for the offerings. The red blend wasn’t that impressive during a tasting, but jumped alive with our entrees. Attentive service in a really unique setting. Ate inside but will come back to eat in the garden soon.

The ambiance is fantastic and the price good. Loved the cocktails. Entrees were wonderful. The sea bass was melt in the mouth. Felt our sharables were a little unexpected. The fig salad was a bit too bitter/sweet pairing for me. The tuna crudo is more of a tartare than crudo, and a bit cucumber heavy for me. I am nitpicking though because they were certainly good. I wish I had fought harder for the pork belly and rolls because saw those go by and they looked great. Will come back next time in town to try them.

Parking is a bummer. The free lot is tiny and you will likely pay $25 next door.

Trendy place! A little confusing on where to enter. Our server was EXCELLENT. Value for amount/quality of food was lacking in my experience, but I guess you pay for location/status/photo ops. Pretty good over all but will leave this restaurant to the “influencers” in the future. Worth a try though!

The waiter was not present and was quietly rude - charged us the wrong amount stating he didn’t know the special menu for the day. Not a great experience

The staff was so attentive and wonderful. Cannot say enough good things about the cavatelli. It was absolutely incredible. Make sure to go on a Thursday evening! The live music was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back to Geist.

Geist has been on my list of restaurants to dine at since I moved to TN 7 years ago. I don't live near Nashville so my visits are not often. But it was definitely worth the trip! The food was varied and unique. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a Thursday at 5PM so it was quiet in the garden but I can imagine it could get very festive (loud)! We were told they change their decorations for Christmas so I am sure to be back then! Also their background music choice was excellent!

We very much enjoyed our appetizers (pork belly and whipped feta). Our entrees of sea bass and short ribs were delicious, as well. A little disappointed in the bucatini. Although we enjoy al dente noodles, the bucatini seemed VERY al dente. We would not order that again. Everything else was a 10/10.

Sat in the champagne garden which is Lovely! We had the best sever Anne and will definitely be back! Native Nashvillians, this was our first time here and now we are wondering why??? lol Delicious food and cocktails!

Nice selection of offerings on the menu and everything was prepared perfectly. The bar mixed our drinks perfectly, also - nothing was over sweetened or syrupy. Will definitely be going back!

The food was amazing love the decor in garden room but the best was our service. Our waiter was amazing so attentive never without a drink or water. I wish I remember his name but he was fantastic so professional

The champagne garden is great. I would consider fans for when it is hot. I was shocked to see the garden is veuve themed but you cannot get veuve by the glass. My husband isn’t a champagne drinker and I will not consume a bottle alone but would’ve purchased a glass or two of veuve since that is the basis of the garden.

Enjoyed our dinner here. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great! Auto gratuity of 20% was ok because we had great service. Was not happy with the 3% auto gratuity for the kitchen. It felt very bait and switch. Also, had to pay $25 for parking because the lot behind the restaurant was full.

Nothing special . Took a group of 12 clients to dinner . Absolutely fine with a mandatory 20% gratuity. What I am not OK with is a Kitchen Love mandatory gratuity of 3%. The building is beautiful. Food , not so much and with the Kitchen Love add on, I won’t be back by myself or with clients
