Every Wednesday, join us for ‘Steak Night Date Night’ and dig into an epic sharing steak for two with sides, sauces and a bottle of red or white wine chosen by our team of sommeliers from £70 per pair.

Gaucho Liverpool set in a grade II listed building and which was previously a bank, boasts original features such as marble pillars and grand high ceilings to compliment sophisticated interiors inspired by modern Argentina. Impeccable Argentinian steaks, flavours of Latin America and a perfectly curated drinks and wine list are all enjoyed in uncompromised elegance.

As well as a statement bar fit with a stage on top for late night entertainment, the restaurant also features two private dining rooms with unique features such as a marbled fireplace as well as a Beef Bar, where guests can enjoy a counter-dining experience as their very own chef take guests through a multi-course beef tasting menu with paired wines.

Couldn’t do me garlic butter to go with my stake. Couldn’t quite believe that on the night. A little disappointing.

First time here. We opted for the Beef Bar or chefs table. We weren’t disappointed and were served an excellent array of dishes along with matching wines. Excellent food and excellent service, we will definitely be back.

Came here with my partner for the first time and it was such an amazing experience. We were told all about the different steaks if we were unsure which one to choose. The food was amazing and would definitely recommend the cookie dough with ice cream for dessert. Definitely would return and a really good experience

Incredibly disappointed! I made the booking long in advance and informed the rest that it was a birthday celebration and that one diner is garlic intolerant. Little acknowledgment of the birthday, but worse, the garlic intolerant diner was informed of what was without garlic, which left limited choice. Was even told that the chips may contain garlic traces. Considering the steaks was well over £40 & £50, it was bland. Good quality steak but probably due to the intolerance all basting and flavouring was left out. Such a disappointing meal! Good ambience and live dj which lends to a “vibey” atmosphere but that’s where it ends. The restaurant was super busy but no excuse for the toilets to be left in such a state. Paper everywhere and the top of the hand wash missing. Given the pricey menu and drinks one would expect more. Love booking via OpenTable when dining in London, something I’ve done for years, but after this experience at Gaucho Liverpool we are not sure it’s the best method for booking suitable restaurants.

It was very busy, lively atmosphere. Food wasn’t brilliant. Steak was nice. Sides were cold and hard. These were replaced and slightly warm but still hard. It felt very rushed and it was very expensive and the quality wasn’t matched.

We had Nicole as our waitress for my birthday celebrations and she was so lovely, made sure we felt comfortable and had gave us recommendations for everything we needed, she was so kind and honestly deserved every part of the gratuity! will definitely be coming back for Nicole, she was amazing to say the least!! best birthday celebrations by far, thank you so much

Great experience and very good quality steaks. Wish you could order just one empinada starter however rather than having to order two as they’re pretty large & filling and by the time you’ve got to your main you’re getting full.

I've been to Gaucho a few times but would never again go on a Friday or Saturday. The music was so loud it was like a nightclub, the DJ was really bad. I usually prefer Gaucho to Hawksmoor but I so regretted my choice, our out of country friends were also not impressed. Our server was fantastic though, I think her name was Molly, and the food was great as always.

The steaks, wine and level of service were good quality but, for their high price, the sides and desserts were very disappointing. They lacked any ‘wow’ factor or any real care in their preparation. For example, the chips were no better than oven-cooked fries you might do at home. There’s little point in serving excellent steak with such side dishes - it diminishes the overall impact of the meal. I should have perhaps checked beforehand, but was surprised to have our Saturday lunch (1pm) accompanied by a DJ. This made conversation with an older guest very difficult. Felt that Gaucho was unsure of its identity - is it a quality steak restaurant that prides itself on its food offering and can charge high prices, or is it an early-doors Latin nightclub where food / conversation is secondary to its ‘vibe’? Also, despite being asked on the reservation and confirmation whether it was a ‘special occasion’ (it was my dad’s birthday), no follow up was made in the restaurant to acknowledge this fact - why bother asking if nothing was to be done?

Food wasn’t as good as the last time we went, felt portions were very small and not as authentic tasting beef as before either. Also wasn’t given a birthday plate even tho I noted that it was my partners birthday and they asked who’s birthday it was ar the door and wished him a happy birthday , but the table next to us was given a birthday plate. Would’ve been nice to have received the same

The Beef bar was a fantastic experience. Chef Coco was brilliant, really engaging and looked after us all night. I would highly recommend this experience.

Food was delicious and decor was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and our server Nicole was fantastic, very friendly and made us feel welcome. If we could give her 6 stars we would! We will definitely be back :)

A lot of issues on a special night, problems could not be resolved on the night as the Manager was not allowed to make decisions by himself. I was given a e-mail address to get my issue resolved, still waiting for a reply. Poor food and dire service.

Me and my friends attended this amazing restaurant for my 18th birthday. We were met by a member of staff at the door and took us straight to our table. We were served by an amazing waiter called Ben and he made sure that all our needs were met, when ordering we were stuck for choice as to which steak we could get, Ben came over with a tray of steaks and went over each one with an overview and a recommendation of how it’s best to be cooked. We had a person with a nut allergy and Ben made sure that anything he ate didn’t contain nuts. All the food was absolutely amazing all of us were very happy and we were stuffed. Near the end they came over with a cheesecake with a candle and sang happy birthday for me without evening asking for it which made the night even better.

Lovely building, atmosphere and decor. Really really nice. Food was very good, not as good as other gauchos I’ve been to, but still very good. Took three times of asking us to see the meat board for it to finally come out. Which we were then surprised by our waitress almost laughing/speechless as one of us wasn’t sure what we liked. Instead of just advising. Apart from that service was great, a few supercilious diners, but that comes with every nice restaurant. Over £200 for 3 courses and a few drinks. Had a valentines cocktail each which was a nice touch. Was expecting the price to be what it was, so not too surprised. Would definitely go again, think it suits a larger group of 4+ as the smaller tables are squeezed in where fit

Perfect steak- had the sirloin, which had the consistency of fillet. Chips quite ordinary (same as KFC fries- consider something different, e.g. triple cooked) and the brocolli was hard/ old skin. Gambas starter excellent. For the price, the veggies are below par. Ambience is amazing - like New York steakhouses

Fantastic food and service. Everything was amazing from the bread, the steak and the cheesecake. Food was brought at exactly the right time, there was always someone at our table whenever we needed anything. It was far too empty for the quality of the restaurant, more people need to go there.

We had a fabulous dinner, Molly our server was incredible. She recommended wine based on favours we described and talked us through the menu, and everything arrived at an amazing time even though the restaurant was full. Really worth the value

Or meal was fantastic the food was incredible. Our server Ben made the dining experience great. He was so knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the food that was being served. Wonderful restaurant would highly recommend.

First time visit for my daughter’s birthday, the staff were very welcoming. The food was amazing, would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Fabulous food, great knowledge by the waitress who served us, the dessert recommendation was spot on so lovely.

Was looking forward to eating here after many recommendations, what can I say, steak was cooked perfectly but we wasn’t wowed by it and if I’m been honest I’ve cooked better steaks at home, We had the honey roasted veg and mash, veg wasn’t the best still a little hard and didn’t taste like they was honey roasted, Mash was the best part of the meal (which tells you something as the simplest thing was the tastiest) the service was very good, very welcoming and telling us about the steaks, downside to the service was when I asked for the drinks menu (to order another drink) but the server didn’t come back until we pretty much finished the meal. Overall a lovely place to try but probably won’t return which is a shame as was really looking forward to it

Amazing meal, beautiful venue, lovely staff We had a lovely evening and enjoyed all Of it. It was a treat to have the complimentary drinks from the newsletter and we will be returning in the future for another lovely meal

first time we have visited Gaucho Liverpool, decided to try the beef bar and was so pleased with the experience, Chef Kristine looked after us so well and explained the different courses as we went along, was approx 3 hours which flew by, will definitely be back again
