Pretty good food, service, and ambiance. The salmon bruschetta was great. The wine was oddly warm for my preference and the Gnocchi was a little tough, which makes me think it was prepackaged. But I don’t know for sure. It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area

The gnocchi was salty, but everything else was fabulous. Terrific service. We were seated in front of the pizza oven and that was a bit warm.

This was our first time dining here, and we will definitely be back. We ordered the Caprese salad and mushroom and fig pizza. It was absolutely amazing. The wine list was good and the service was prompt and accurate.

We visited for Denver Restaurant week, we were given our entrees and desserts before finishing the food in front of us. Service was rushed while there were still tables open for other guests waiting to sit at.

I visited Gattara in the Warwick hotel during Restaurant Week, so maybe this was not a typical service. Having said that, I was extremely disappointed overall. I ordered the bruschetta, which is priced at $15 on the regular menu. The grilled bread was good, but it was topped with the kind of chopped tomato that you could buy at any grocery store. Not Campari's or anything close. And it was stone cold. Chopped arugula. Nothing more. Very bland. To make matters worse, my main course arrived when I was half way through eating it. I was seated at a 2-top, which could not accommodate both dishes, so I just had the server take it away. The entree was a pappardelle with shredded short rib, shallots and carrots. The pasta was undercooked and gummy. The rainbow carrots were practically raw, with the purple carrots charred to cinders. I sent the dish back and ordered the chicken marsala instead. The chicken was fork tender and the gravy with forest mushrooms was really good. BUT, this was not a traditional chicken marsala. The gravy was very thick and there was not even a whisper of marsala. At the end of the meal, a person came to whisk away my plate without asking me if I wanted to box it. When she came back, it was with a large recycled cardboard container, not suited for a dish with gravy. Your average Chinese restaurant provides a sturdy plastic container for takeaway. She returned my look of exasperation with an evil sneer. I asked for the dessert dish to go, as at that point I just wanted to leave. It was presented in a plastic container, so obviously there are such containers to be had in the kitchen. The entire experience was so disappointing that I asked to speak to a manager. Aubrey, the Food and Wine Director, smoothed things over and apologized for the less than satisfactory experience. Nevertheless, I would not return to this restaurant.

Dinah, I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Our chef is from Liguria, Italy, and the Chicken Marsala we serve is his interpretation of the dish. I'm glad you found it tender and delicious, even though it did not fit your expectation of Chicken Marsala. I hoped that comping your meal and discussing the highs and lows of your dinner with us would win us a second chance to wow you, but I suppose it did not. I will call the review "Creamed" . Very disappointed with the food, Servicethey was excellent and the only reason it doesn't get 1 Star is the salad was good as was the wine. Almost every pasta dish has wine - guess the chef has never been to Italy. I had something they had featured on their Valentine's menu albeit after VD, the Cacio e Pepe with caviar. The dish was served and the pasta was not hot - luke warm at best and was a cream gelatinous mess. There is no cream in this dish traditionally (they even say they add cream to Lasagna) and the was 1 TSP - not even TBSP of caviar. The dish was even missing pepper. My wife had the gnocci with mushrooms which also was a very heavy dish missing the nuance of the mushrooms and was just a mess. Very disappointed!!

The service and the ambiance was fantastic but the food was just okay. We ordered the oysters and they still had some sand. The Lobster Gnocchi tasted good but the gnocchi was very dense. I ordered the Cod Al Limone and it was very under seasoned. My fiancé had the Sea and Land with the truffle mashed potatoes and that was delicious. We finished off with the Bread Pudding and that was also amazing.

Absolutely the BOMB! I had the wild mushrooms risotto with large sea scallops. My wife had short rib pasta. Wonderful, bringing my friends back.

Our server was very helpful and friendly. The Caesar salad was excellent and so was the margarita pizza. We did order the champagne risotto, which we did not like our server kindly took it off our bill

Experience was just ok. The front of house staff were very accommodating when I changed my reservation, and our waitress was pleasant. Multiple people in my party felt the food was lackluster, the risotto had no taste and the short rib was average. You can find better Italian food elsewhere for around the same price.

I came here with my friend this evening, it had been a long week and we were hoping for some delicious comfort food. Wow. I was beyond impressed. First, the atmosphere. I loved the ambient lighting, brightening without being too harsh, which was lovely since both of us can be extra sensitive with sensory things like lighting and sound. The decor was tasteful, welcoming, and delightful with all the cat art, without being remotely cheesy. The seating was comfortable too, with many options. Each person working there that we interacted with was friendly, full of great ideas, and had lovely energy. Now the most important part: food! Sooo impressed. We each had the truffle gnocchi and shared a salad, plus some lovely cocktails. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and beautifully plated, but they also served a truly satisfying amount of food -- no tiny plates here! We were both delighted at the quality of flavorful ingredients. There were so many other intriguing menu items; I hope to come back to try many more!

A lovely, casual dining experience with friends we hadn’t seen for quite a while. It was the perfect place for a reunion. Our server was wonderful and the food was delightful. Good cocktail menu and delicious desserts. Gattara is a gem!

Don’t trust the reservation system. Wait was an hour past our time and they weren’t seating people in order.

I see in Open Table that your party arrived at 7:49 for your 8:00 reservation and was seated at 8:29. I do apologize that you had to wait 29 minutes for your table; please be assured we seated you as soon as we possibly could. I hope the complimentary Pane Gattara helped ease everyone's hunger a bit while you studied your menus and placed your orders. We did have a couple of tables of 2 and 4 that were seated before you. This is because we had tables available that could accommodate those smaller parties. Once again, please be assured that we seated you as soon as we could possibly accommodate a party of 6. I do hope that ultimately you all had a great meal and a great time celebrating the new year and that you will reconsider coming back and giving us another opportunity to wow you.

Unfortunately the table was not ready when we arrived and we were seated at a high table service was ok, the first 2 soft drinks were very watered down and we had to move to cans.

Charles, We're sorry you did not care for your table. As with many restaurants, the high-tops are part of the main dining room and the reservation system does not differentiate between those tables and other tables in the dining room. When you said you didn't want the high-top table, I explained that there weren't any other tables available at the time, but if you would like to wait we would get you a standard table as soon as possible. I quoted you roughly 20 minutes or so but you opted to sit right away. I am sorry you did not find this to be a reasonable accommodation. Regarding the Sprite, you are correct that the soda was returned twice and that after that, we switched to canned soda that was properly carbonated. I apologize if you did not find this to be a satisfactory solution.

My sister-in-law and I went to Gattara last week prior to attending the Colorado Public Radio Holiday Extravaganza which was being held at Central Presbyterian Church right around the corner. We did the same thing last year. We arrived about 20 minutes late for our 5:30 reservation because we hit horrible traffic driving down from Broomfield. The host assured us that it wasn't a problem, thanked us for coming and showed us right to our table. Our server was excellent; she was prompt, professional and friendly. Everything was very nice!

We don’t usually go out for Thanksgiving. But we needed to be in Denver early on Friday, so we decided to stay at the Warwick hotel. The restaurant there is really really good!! They had a PreFixe 4-course menu for Thanksgiving. A starter + soup or salad + Delicious turkey dinner with alternative GF fish or vegetarian entrees, then dessert. Our server Chaunty was delightful and the kitchen was very accommodating. And if you have never had Salted Caramel-Espresso-with-Chocolate Shavings- Gelato, you haven’t ever had dessert! Thank you Gattara!!

As a very honest reviewer, thought this was vey mediocre. The pancetta for the carbonara was beyond salty, the bread for the bruschetta was over fresh and had a couple burn marks from whatever grill they have, flavor on the classica was garlic garlic garlic. Quiet as it’s in a hotel but ambience lacking any real substance. They have a chefs counter for a pizza oven they don’t utilize and sadly a very minimal happy hour menu for a hotel restaurant. Would give it 2.5/5 overall, so much potential

Food was decent, but lacked seasoning. Service was reasonable, but not spectacular. For the price of the pasta, I would expect a little more flavor and creativity. Would probably return in a pinch, but there are better options in this city.

We went to Gattara for my husband’s birthday and had an incredible time! The cocktails were delicious with a gray craft cocktail menu to choose from, and the food was great, especially the sweet potato gnocchi. The vibe was so different from any Italian restaurant I’ve been to before and we really enjoyed it. A great special occasion or just because dinner spot!

We waited about 15 minutes for water and then another 15 for our other drinks. Our pizza arrived luke warm at best and my husband told the waitress this and she tried to tell us that that is how the pizza we ordered is supposed to be. The restaurant is decorated really well and I enjoyed the look of the place, but will not be going back.

The third string must have been working, because this was a very disappointing experience. The food was mediocre other than the pizza, which was OK but soggy with oil. We were particularly disappointed with the chicken marsala, which had no marsala in it and was essentially alfredo sauce, not marsala. Service probably deserves one star, because it was a chore for Josh to give us the table we wanted (no, we don't want a round 8 top for 5 people who want to actually talk to each other without yelling, no, we don't want to be right next to the open kitchen). The restaurant was a practically empty on a Sunday at 5:30, but every aspect service seemed like he couldn't be bothered. Brendan, however, was great and the only ray of sunshine.
