Excellent food. More of a bar than a restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly. I recommend for a casual meal.

The food was great and the waiter was very appropriate, nice and polite. It was a fun little dinner. Towards the end when we were paying for our bill last night 10/17/2023 around 8-830, the waiter had processed someone else’s bill on my card rather than mine. The bill was about $10 less than my bill which wasn’t a problem. People make mistakes. What threw me off was that there wasn’t an alternative way to go about the mistake. I paid for a $140 meal mistakenly and then had to pay again, $155 right after because my bank had already processed both payments. What really concerned me is that the waiter didn’t ask or allow me to sign the second transaction or let me to tip myself, he tipped himself for me so that was very concerning and didn’t sit right with me. I asked him what about signature and tip? He said “oh I just processed 18% tip because I figured you guys wouldn’t want to tip more than that because I messed up you payment the first time”. This made me uncomfortable because he took money from me without my consent and without my awareness of it. I felt robbed and like I didn’t have a say in the money being taken from me considering tip wasn’t included already and wasn’t mandatory. I think Gather needs to be careful and aware of that type of things because waiters should not be tipping themselves with other people’s money. I hope they talk with him about it and don’t allow that again. Thanks

Great location. Bit overpriced and service was either rushed or non-existent. Ordered the calamari and it only had 6 pieces and the rest were peppers. Oysters came with bland sauce. For the price, the lobster roll was small. Mango salad was very good.

The server was lovely. None of this is because of her…The food is so so. The area is really nice. But the food and rickety chairs….the drinks have very little alcohol. We asked for extra crisps for the tuna tartare and were charged $2, like not cool. And the mocktails are $11 for juice! I think this is a prime spot to make a lot of money and then sell. We had fun, but not because of the food and drinks. Too bad.

received a very soggy burger didn’t even finish it we took a bite and the whole burger fell apart. We asked for a different bun and just couldn’t eat it because by the end of it all the burger looked like we were little kids playing with our food. Digging in my nails to get all the food out, Transferring it to a different bun everything was just falling apart. To finish it all we still ended up having to pay for a burger we played with and didn’t eat.. Very unprofessional.

Made a resy for a Barbie themed brunch and the only barbie aspect was a few pink drinks no decor or food involved. If we didn’t sign up for this we would have had no idea. Lack of effort overall and the food was very bland

The food and cocktails were excellent. Brought a visiting friend here for dinner so she could see the Seaport. Couldn't have asked for a better showcase. Portions were just right for us to eat the whole meal and not have leftovers, which was great for walking around the boardwalk after. The ICA was having a live music event which perfectly topped off the evening.

I was drawn to Gather based on the location, website and menu…and then experienced a major letdown. The food was pretty gross, the drinks were sugary sweet and the ambiance was just noisy and low-end bar vibes. Our table wobbled, the floor was sticky and we basically just hustled out of there as soon as possible. Do not recommend.

food was good and reasonably priced, but the service wasnt great. we waited 10 minutes for water, had our dirty plates on the table until we left. also it was very loud which is fine but the server was super quiet so it was hard to hear.

It was my first time at gather, and I was very impressed! Our waitress Jenn was so nice and very helpful! I would definitely recommend this place to friends! I’d like the choice of eating indoors or outside! I definitely would go back

Restaurant has really gone down hill, the service was terrible. There was a hair in my friends lobster roll so we sent it back. It appeared to have just been tossed around (and the hair removed) to make it appear it was a different roll. My poke bowl was inedible, the fish didn’t taste fresh and I was nervous to eat it. We ordered mocktails that were over priced and tasted like a melted slushy. I will not be returning, very disappointed for over a hundred dollar meal. Would honestly have ate Sweet Green or Chipotle over this 😅😂.

Great cocktails, limited lunch menu but the mahi mahi sandwich was excellent and not too greasy for a fried fish! Service was excellent and the place filled up quick so I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. Would come back again for drinks and apps

It was nice - the staff were very welcoming, and very attentive. The food was fine, not amazing but by no means bad. Middle of the road when it comes to pricing so I’d give like a 3.7 out of 5 but since I need to use whole numbers, I’d round down in this case to a 3 out of 5

My friend and I really really enjoyed the meal along with the beautiful view of the waterfront! The service was also great! 10/10 experience I have no complaints. A plus for the cocktails, too!

The food was amazing- I ordered habanero wings for an appetizer then veggie pasta for meal. Also had the spicy margarita. All tasted amazing. Only negative thing is we waited 25 minutes and No waitress😝So, I had to get up and approach the host- requested him to send our waitress over. Once we got our waitress- she was great. Definitely would go back as the food was really good 👍🏾

Your new brunch menu, quite frankly, is awful. You've got what, 8-9 menu entrees, 5 of which are sandwiches? For brunch? You removed your absolute best dish, chicken and waffles with sausage gravy. Your new salads also are not enticing (where's the goat/beet that was so good?). Your appetizers were not at all appealing, , the noise level inside was very loud and it was just the music, not other patrons. Overall, changing your menu so drastically was a bad choice. You were our first choice for brunch, now I don't know that we'll ever go back (unless you bring back the old menu). The only good part was the mimosa tower and the service, two solids pluses, but if the food is so blah, not enough reason to return. Just too bad. I had just referred a friend to make this her place for her pre-wedding girl's brunch but now will tell her to definitely pick another place. Such a steep decline from your former great status, it is just too bad. Oh and another negative, you have signs in place that health codes don't allow dogs but we saw a couple come in with a large, soaking wet dog, who stayed inside for several minutes before finally being seated on the patio. They should have been told immediately to take the dog outside while they waited, just gross.

Our server was terrific. One person has dietary restrictions and he was very attentive. We were able to sit outside and did not find it too noisy at all. We both enjoyed our meal.

We had a lovley experience. All he staff-especially our wait-person, Jennifer Sarah, wwere awesome and the food and drinks were delicious. Lovely view of the harbor as the light changed.

Overall, our experience with Gather was good. The space was smaller than expected and felt a bit squished. The restaurant is perfect for a party of 2 or a small group, but it is not ideal for a party of 4 or larger. The menu isn't as extensive as we would hope, but nonetheless, the food was still enjoyable.

Went to Gather for a casual dinner with my husband. The gin and elderflower liqueur cocktail was great. The octopus app was a bit overcooked. The chowder was good. The flatbread was a bit underbaked and only crisp on a few parts of the edges. The steak was just ok. The server was pleasant but seemed to have a hard time understanding some of our requests. The music system seemed inadequate for the space and was distracting.

A great location, great design, and great menu for lunch with a view of the harbor and beyond. My Ramen bowl was hot, tasty and filled with good stuff for about $20. A friend raved about her trio of fried shrimp tacos, but another friend was shocked that her $15 Mediterranean plate was mostly raw vegetables and just teeny tiny dishes of humuus in which to dip. Our server was friendly and efficient during a busy Friday lunch hour. Spotless bathrooms. Pricey parking next door.

The fried chicken sandwich was delicious! My son had a grilled cheese and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. Our waitress was also amazing!
