We are happy to announce we have tea available on Sundays.

Our Tea Room is pretty busy, dates are released three months in advance of the date of the tea service.

Enjoy Garden Tea, a special experience inspired by the herbs, vegetables, and fruits that grow in the Villa authentically re-created first-century Roman gardens.

Feast on a Mediterranean-inspired menu of tea sandwiches, house-made scones, tea bread and a varied selection of teas. Tea is served in the Founders Room, an elegant space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Villa.

We do not host private events in the tea room. Do to the volume of business we do and the space we utilize for our Tea service, the largest party we can accommodate would be a party of 8 people we do not host baby showers, graduation parties, business luncheons, etc. Per Getty policy we are not allowed to make multiple reservations for one party or split parties into groups in our dining area. The Getty does have strict rules and regulations for group celebrations, we ask that all guests celebrating special occasions be mindful of others who are joining us for Tea and for security purposes, all wrapped packages are not permitted on museum grounds, also no special decorations are allowed on the tables.

We will send the parking reservation before your visit, please provide us your e-mail address. The parking fee is not included in your Garden Tea reservation cost, each car or motorcycle will be charged $25.00 for parking. The museum opens at 10:00 am, no additional reservations are required, you can explore the museum before the tea service.

Overall the experience was lovely and the ambiance was great. Our servers were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. However, the days leading up to our reservation were annoying. I had to email and message Beverly and Efrain several times to get our parking reservation for entry and this took several days to fix. Beverly was absolutely no help, but Efrain was able to fix the situation. He however did not apologize for the mix up. They had sent the parking reservation to some unknown email and if I would have never asked about it I wouldn’t have ever received it.

The teas were amazing! The food was very well made and tasty. I enjoyed all of them. The deserts were beautifully made and very good! The table setting was pretty and inviting! The room could be a little more spruced up but we were told it is at times used for other events. It was easy to talk and hear each other which is appreciated!

The customer service is superb. The waiters are extremely funny attentive and professional. I can automatically tell their aspiring actors or comedians because of the carisma they have for the customers. The tea is good the food is ok not the best. I would definitely create more appealing sandwiches. Dessert could better too but in the end it was a pleasant experience.

My suggestions: make seating first come first serve. It's odd to have assigned tables, especially since it's in a minimally decorated conference room and the way tables are set up, if one is not sitting by the window, it's really very underwhelming. I understand the hostess was doing her job, but to make her tell someone who was 2nd to check in that they can't have a different table (just about all tables are the same size), but rather have to wait to see if some other group decides not to show up, then they can be moved, is really bad customer care. (another group came after us also did not appreciate the assigned table asked to be seated elsewhere). Or have even less tables so all tables appear to be premium seating and no one feels like they are getting less of an experience than other groups. Make sure table top is not wobbling. When 4 people order the same tea, make sure that enough is brewed for that first serving so everyone can start with a full cup of tea. The only really 'hot' pot of tea we got was the last pot. Scones and bread were good; sandwiches were fine, a couple a bit dry. Waiter was great (the best part of our whole experience). We've been looking forward to this for months but agreed it's fine to experience this 'once'.

The tea sandwiches were not traditional. Bread was dry and mostly vegan. I love egg salad, chicken salad and salmon. The desserts were too sweet. Fruit tart, chocolate covered strawberries or cookies would have been a nice options.

I have many food allergies. This was the first time an establishment really listened and accommodated my dietary needs completely. I was able to dine worry free, which is a treat in itself! Everything about our experience there was perfect!

The “signature” carrot cake was extremely dry and the service was slow. It took way too long to get something as simple as the next tea selection. Overpriced. Difficult to find tea room; nothing was labeled. It was an okay experience but just one and done. Not worth going back.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Shoutout to the service, namely Mark and Patty! The food was delightful, the tea was comforting and enjoyable, they made accommodations for my gluten-free friend, and I would definitely come back.
