Treat Mom to a delightful Mother's Day Tea on the terrace of The Restaurant at the Getty, offering a selection of teas and delicious sweet and savory bites against a backdrop of breathtaking views. Join us from Tuesday, May 7th, to Sunday, May 12th, between 2pm and 3pm* for a memorable celebration with Mom and take home a complimentary booklet of the recipes from the menu crafted for you to enjoy at home.

The price for Mother’s Day Tea is $60 for adults and $50 for children.

Mother’s Day Tea Time reservations are limited to XX minutes. Admission to the Getty Center now requires a free timed-entry reservation for each person in your party over the age of two. Reserve your entry time using the special access link below.

The food (sandwiches) took forever to get to us. Our server (Doug) was so great that the delays was forgivable. But man it was loooooooong!

We had a lovely afternoon tea celebrating my mom's birthday. Our servers (I believe one was Andre) were the perfect amount of attentive and accommodating, and they went above and beyond to make Mom feel celebrated for her day. We liked the uniqueness of this tea service and thought the food was delicious. Our service was done inside, but being separated from the regular restaurant patrons was nice. I'm so happy to have finally booked a reservation here!

Enjoyed tea very much $55 pp $25 parking my reservation was for 3p I arrived at 3 to park and found that after 3p parking is $15. There were 5 other tables seated, place is large with beautiful views of the museum, city and hills. My favorite sandwich was the roast beef. The scones are on the smaller side, the banana bread is tasty. Great experience.

Beautiful setting and china, not crowded, staff was very nice and cordial. Tea and food tasted good and was prepared with care, but the menu is not typical English high tea, so we missed some of the classics one might expect. Also wished we could have made sandwich choices on the spot, but everything had to be pre-set.

Ambience, location is wonderful, the waiters were great as well, however not very knowledgeable about tea, or serving schedules, we were served scones and tea sandwiches about 10 minutes before the tea was served, once the tea arrived it was so overwhelmingly over brewed that it was undrinkable, they added too much loose leaf and brewed it for too long, very bitter and adding more water does not make it better. 4 out of the 6 Tea sandwiches were a miss, salami is charcuterie meat and it doesn’t go well with a sweet jam, broccoli over a tomato paste(marinara sauce) hard to bite, not an elegant sandwich for high tea, cucumber sandwiches were dry, the chicken and the shrimp were quite delicious. Desserts were not house made, these were pulled out of a frozen tray. We followed the menu as we were eating some of the sandwiches and desserts were not as listed, also they have about 8 teas to choose from but they were out of most of them. I found that they should have been more prepared and watch the brewing time on the tea, as we can only get one choice per person. I was highly disappointed on our high tea experience.

The atmosphere has a corporate feel to it. Great for holiday parties or tour groups. Not a cozy spot for traditional Tea. Food presentation was nice, but bread was stale. Tasted like trays were prepared early in day and stored in walkin until ready to serve. Someone creative sandwiches and desserts, but I prefer a few more classics mixed in. Service was attentive and relaxed.
