The newly transformed Gansevoort Rooftop features a glass enclosure with a brass-framed blue onyx topped cocktail bar, stylish custom patterned lounge seating, Moroccan tiled floors and an outdoor terrace with stunning Hudson River and city views. A custom ornate Italian fresco filled with surreal forbidden fruit trees and wisteria motifs welcomes the outdoors in. The bar and dining room’s menu features coastal European ingredients, fresh light bites, and a cocktail menu crafted to perfection. Guests can enjoy signature dishes including a lemon crusted Branzino, Chakchoucka Salad and Shrimp Pil Pil as well cocktails like “The Rooftop Spritz”, an elevated take on the aperol spritz featuring Gin and notes of Valencia orange or the “Sicilian Sangria” based with a Montepulciano and sweetened by Limoncello. Gansevoort’s rooftop is perfect for a leisurely lunch, sunset apéritivo or late night jazz performance.

Made a reservation for a friend’s birthday. The service was excellent, we had a great server who was extremely friendly/knowledgeable and made the whole experience very comfortable. Music was great, food was delicious (highly recommend the spicy tuna) and the ambiance was amazing. Great spot for a group outing or a date! Would definitely come back.

It took forever for us to get our food. The salad was small and denched with dressing and the chicken was as dry as saw dust.

The server was good but “forgot” to give us the itemized receipt that showed that tip was included. Very sneaky and do not appreciate automatically including a 20% tip a party of two, not telling us and then allowing us to tip again. Good food, drinks and vibe though

Way overpriced. Said there was a brunch menu and was not. Said there was a dress code and was very casual… never going here again.

We were the first table seated for brunch and the food took an hour to come out of the kitchen. It was shocking that we weren’t offered a free round of drinks or an appetizer. Unlikely I’ll return.

My husband, Raul & I have not had a date night in a very long time! I invited him to join me for after work drinks at the Gansevoort Rooftop and he happily agreed. We entered the Gansevoort hotel lobby and went to the Concierge who asked if we wanted to check in earlier that the 6:45 P.M. reservation that I have made via Open Table. We said “yes” and she showed us to the elevator that led to the Penthouse. Once we were checked in our table was ready for us. The views of the Hudson River, lower Manhattan & the Jersey City skyline were all breathtaking! The sky was powder blue & the sun was a magnificent yellow when we were seated. As the sun began to set, the sky took on a mix of yellow, orange, blue with white clouds. We perused the menu. For drinks, I ordered the Sex & flowers cocktail & Raul ordered the ARL Gold. For our appetizer, we chose the spinach & artichoke dip which was creamy, cheesy & delicious! For our entrees, I ordered the PEI mussels & Raul ordered the Wagyu & Swiss cheeseburger both served with fries. We ordered another round of drinks and were both pleased with how flavorful everything tasted. The prices were steep, but worth it. The staff went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. We plan to go back soon!

It was just ok. Saturday night and place was empty. Limited food menu choices. Very pricey for just ok food.
