    Excellent meal for a special occasion. Reservations were easy and we were seated exactly on time. Food was exceptional (we both had seafood dishes). Servers were working hard all over the restaurant but overall the staff was clearly overtaxed (Saturday, prom night, dinner hour, etc). The service (not the servers) was a little slow but again, servers were on top of everything. Only drawback was the complete lack of enforcement of the dress code (shown as "smart casual" on the web site). Combo of prom dresses, guys in coats against guys with concert t-shirts and baggy cargo shorts or ripped jeans was pretty striking. An unenforced dress code is a non-existent dress code. Didn't spoil the evening for us but it was more noticeable than in many similar restaurants.

    The food was fantastic. Best crab cakes I’ve ever had. Calamari was tender and delicious. The dessert was just the right amount of sweet. Plus, the service was top notch.

    The oysters were not good. Had stomach ailments after having them. I have had oysters at many places. For the first time, i have had issues with them.

    Food and service were just OK. I’ve been disappointed that the quality at this restaurant seems to be declining each time I return.

    Enjoyed sitting in the big back room with wall to wall windows overlooking the train tracks. Food was fresh and tasty. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Haven’t been there in ages but will come back soon.

    Great restaurant. Beautiful surroundings with wonderful food and service. None other like it. A real gem!

    Gandy Dancer needs some attention. The restaurant is looking tired. There were worn carpets and furniture, chipped and peeling paint in spots and debris on the floor. Our meals were generally tasted good but the side items were served cold. It was a birthday celebration as indicated in the reservation but no mention or acknowledgement was made. Overall it was a disappointing experience at a restaurant that we recall having much higher standards.

    My wife is happy that I took her to this place for Mother's Day dinner, together with our 2 kids. The kid's menu portion size was large, the burger and fries were delicious, outstanding value. The seared scallops and lobster bisque that my wife ordered were wonderful. The stuffed salmon I ordered was not as tender and juicy as I had hoped. Overall a great experience.
