A premium winery specializing in world-class Rhône style wines and Pinot Noir from exquisite vineyards across California. Our winery was founded in 2011 with the specific purpose of crafting the Genception of Giants California Super Syrah, a no-expense-spared, uber cuvée of Syrah that uniquely incorporates stellar fruit from five highly regarded vineyards. Our wines are rich, layered and three dimensional with the winemaking style emphasizing patience in the vineyard -allowing mother nature to deliver complex, robust fruit; and patience in the cellar -where wines are artfully paired with an impressive cadre of French oak for 19-28 months.

We pride ourselves on providing a first-rate, memorable tasting room experience. A selection of decadent wines are poured on a daily basis by our friendly and knowledgeable team, in our contemporary and artistically appointed tasting room. Six wines are included with each tasting session and it’s not uncommon for a “bonus pour” or two to be flowing.

90 Cases Prod. A fresh, lively and beautifully textured Grenache Blanc sourced from the highly regarded Rancho Boa Vista Vineyard near Buellton, California. Hints of apple, honeysuckle and delicate citrus are framed by a foundation of minerality leading to a layered, balanced and complex finish. A serious wine that just hits the spot! Aged 10 months in French Oak.

90 Cases Prod. A stunner boasting a sumptuous bouquet of apricots, peaches and mandarin orange blossoms. On the palate, an oily viscosity that is complimented by a vibrant mineral streak and subtle nuances of citrus, baking spices, toasted nuts and vanilla. The result is a luscious, full-bodied, rich white that maintains restraint and freshness with a long, pleasant finish. Aged 17 months in new French Oak (67%) and Concrete (33%).

210 Cases Prod. A lovely, youthful and striking cuvée crafted from an assemblage of Pinot Noir from six stellar Sonoma County vineyards. It flows from the bottle in a vibrant medley of juicy red fruits, freshly cut flowers, and baking spices. As the wine continues to open and evolve in the glass, its red fruits darken, delivering hints of delicious cherry, black raspberry and cranberry. The wine seamlessly finishes to seductive spices, herbs and sweet tobacco. Aged for 19 months in a proprietary selection of neutral French Oak. Unfined and unfiltered.

A deliciously rich and beautifully textured cuvée purposely crafted from six unique and amazing vineyards located across Santa Barbara, Monterey and Sonoma Counties. Dark juicy fruits, cocoa, and array of tantalizing spices are the hallmarks of this layered beauty. Aged for 27 months in a proprietary selection of the finest French Oak (50% new) followed by an additional 4 years in bottle prior to release.

462 Cases Prod. Sonoma County Appellation, 19 Months Élevage 90% New French Oak, 5% Concrete, 5% Neutral French Oak. A wine of extreme elegance and sophistication. Bright, ruby red at the core gradually lightening towards the rim. The bouquet expresses vibrant notes of fresh picked wild strawberry, hibiscus tea, sweet cedar and forest floor. A Pinot Noir of maximum complexity which gains nuance and character the longer it sits in the glass. Alluring bright red fruit, spice and subtle earth tones meld seamlessly together on the palate, transitioning to a lengthy finish. Drinkable upon release this will continue to integrate and develop in the bottle over the next 8-10 years. Drink through 2024.

2012 Genception of Giants, California Super Syrah
721 Cases Prod. California Appellation, 27 Months Élevage, 100% New French Oak 100% Free Run Juice. Dark as a moonless night, this is a wine of immense concentration. It soars from the glass with aromas of blackberry, cassis, raspberry coulis, dark chocolate, crushed rocks and cracked pepper. Supremely intense and complex, dark fruit notes meld seamlessly with enticing floral notes of lavender and violet. As the wine glides across the palate its vibrancy and elegance stand-out, as the finish persists for over a minute. Ideal for drinking beginning in 2020, but if patience is not a virtue, then drink now, but be sure to decant this wine for 1-2 hours before enjoying. This wine will evolve effortlessly for 10-12+ years. Drink through 2024.
