This is a wonderful restaurant for seafood lovers. Rawbar, shell and fin fish entree, etc. Service is great and seating if comfortable and cozy. Only complaint is that the menus online and what are provided by the concierge at the Fairmont are not accurate. We booked all inclusive through fairmont and according to the menus online and provided by concierge, there were no items with an up charge. But at the actual restaurant the seafood tower, black cod with caviar and others had an asterisk and were an up charge. Nothing major, but if you are a planner that is something to note

Top seafood restaurant in Mayakoba. Pricey but so is everything in this area Fish options are plentiful and only the freshest is offered.

I was very disappointed with the food. As one reviewer noted this is not a place for someone who does t like seafood. The majority of the menu is also Raw & having the seafood flown in from California vs local fresh catch makes no sense. The restaurant is not part of the meal plan w/ the fairmont which I knew going into but seeing as the kids menu is the same as all the other restaurants at the resort one would think kids food when im already paying for would not be an additional charge. The wine/liquor selection is no different than any of the offerings but you are charged for again.. While I understand the food being not part of meal plan when I’m paying for alcohol being charged for the same twice is ridiculous..

The ambiance is lovely- beach chic. The menu is somewhat limited, including types of preparation. Do not go unless you love everything seafood (we do, which is why we went). Service was nice and wait staff were gracious. The biggest issue was the prices (outrageous for the value) and food itself (it was OK, decent, but not amazing). Cost for our family of 4 (all adults) was just over $400. We did not order dessert, nor did we have any fancy drinks (2 of us had a glass of house wine each, which was $24 each). The food itself was simply overpriced for what you get. Mind you, we know we are at a nice resort and expect prices to be high, but this took it to a new height and it was a disappointment as a result. We would not have minded paying this amount if the food was amazing, but it wasn't. The whole kampachi fish which was 2400 MXN was glorified fish sticks. Very sad. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend.

The flavour of our dishes was above average. The presentation was beautiful. We just can’t get past how sloppy and slow the service was. My son was served a clearly used bottle of individual ketchup. We asked for a fresh one and never received it. It was an hour into the service before our food order was taken. For the signature restaurant at the resort I expected far more for the price.

I wanted to love this place but left feeling hungry because the food was subpar. This is our least favorite restaurant in Mayakoba in terms of food and value.

Food tasted like airplane food; service was mediocre at best and prices were what you would expect from a NY steak house. Would never return or recommend. Expected more from a fairmont property.
