Heightened Expectations! In truth I've been circling Fu’s repair shop like a prizefighter waiting for an opening to capitalize! Last night the main event unfolded, and like many Mayweather fights it was anti-climactic! First off the space is great, the ambience is great and the vibe checked all the boxes! Secondly the mixologist on staff prepares fun and boozy cocktails that appeal on many levels!! We did a large sampling of the menu to see what were the heavy hitters, and which offerings swing hard, but missed the mark. The Chow Ho Fun with Szechuan braised beef was the hardest hit of the night, the Mala spice in the beef and the delicate noodles are punching right up there with the big boys in noodles here in #yeg. The salt and 5 peppercorn chicken wings were also slipping and giving, hard punishing body shots of enjoyment! As the first two dishes on the table, i thought knockout imminent! But sadly the power punches ended there, the dim sum offerings were lightweight at best, particularly the Har Gow, which was outright not good that night, too fishy in an unpleasant and expired way! To the point where the rest of the nights offerings were tainted by that one bite! Unfortunate for a strong start, but withering finish! Devon our server was a delight and apologetic for that dish, her service level was what we were the most impressed with, attentive but not needy striking the perfect balance in what a server should be! Fu’s is undoubtedly popular for a lot of reasons, but this night the food lost them the fight! Its good but not great in terms of asian food in #yeg, come for the drinks and atmosphere, moreover the service! Stick to the mains, pass on the dim sum! 7.11 Great Plates Edmonton

Fun vibe. Loved the movies playing on the wall. Food was very tasty and well priced. The desert buns are a must try.

Another wonderful evening spent at Fu’s. I enjoy taking friends who have never been before. I ordered a fantastic cocktail which was very creative and refreshing. This was the one that had been featured for a week for Asian Heritage Month. The food was delicious as usual and our server was very attentive. I would recommend Fu’s to anyone who enjoys trying new places.

Food was great and the Mr Chen’s Beef Noodle bowl and Duck Tacos standout dishes! Cherry blossom cocktail was lovely and not too sweet for me. Service was pretty meh from the host to servers, all seemed pretty disinterested in serving us or providing good hospitality. Took 30 minutes to get water for the table and to order. Server forgot one of our ordered items, they did take care of that on the bill which was appreciated. Also took 30 minutes to pay our bill; table was cleared and no other drink or dessert options offered but bill also not provided. So we sat at a cleared table waiting for our server to realize there was nothing on the table and that we asked to pay.
