Prior to reserving my birthday reservation i heard so many great things about this place. Nonetheless it’s very beautiful, but never did I expect such horrible service from the start with the waiter we had. It was my first time here therefore I had questions in reference to their drinks and food suggestions but it just seemed like my group and I were a bother some to our waiter as he had a smart remark to say to anything we asked. It made our dinner very non welcoming and awkward. Considering it’s a higher end restaurant I expected more than the poor service we got. I will not be returning.

We were looking for a nice dinner on the beach, the hotel grounds and restaurant is beautiful, unfortunately our dinner was a tasteless octopus (but well cooked), weird burger with truffles fries with no truffle flavor and cocktails were just X and on top of that price was not cheap. Will never come back.

It was hard to find the actual entrance, but once at the restaurant, it was absolutely AMAZING!!! The staff will literally run, doesn’t matter who your waiter is, ALL the staff are keeping an eye out to clear plates, fill wine or water glasses… we went on Valentine's and there was only one open table, but the service was still 5*!!! ABSOLUTELY recommend this restaurant AND the resort looks fabulous!!!!

Taste and texture of scallops made them seem like they were from frozen. The picanha skewer we asked for medium but it was inconsistent with one piece closer to medium well or well and another medium rare.

At first, finding the entrance was a bit difficult, but the resort staff kindly guided us. The staff inside the restaurant were very friendly, the ambiance was delightful, and all the food and cocktails were exceptionally tasty.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was decent but overpriced. Nothing wow. Playa has way more to offer. Didn't see the ocean as we had a late reservation. I didn't get any complimentary desert from the restaurant, assuming because I didn't stay at the hotel? Instead, they were busy cleaning and didn't care we were still there expecting something special. Only rushed to bring the check and kicked us out. Disappointed.

We came in the off-season (July) and were able to make a last minute reservation without a problem even though we weren't staying at the resort. We were seated with incredible ocean views, which is exactly what we were looking for. The menu is not extensive, but the food was excellent as were the drinks. We highly recommend it for a special meal in Playa del Carmen.

Wunderschön gelegen, sehr gutes Essen und Service. Aber: man muss erst einmal in die Hotel Anlage als Gast gelangen, was gar nicht so einfach ist! Ohne Hotel Bändchen stürzen sich sofort die Securities auf Dich. Hat man es dann bis zur Hotel Rezeption geschafft, wird verlangt, dass man aus Sicherheitsgründen seinen Ausweis hinterlegt, was ich eine FRECHEIT!!! Finde. Aber traumhaft schöne Anlage. Daumen hoch.

Lovely location right on the beach. My husband had the lamb and I had the New York Strip. Both delicious. The chocolate volcano cake was so good! The staff and service is excellent!

We had two very good experiences at this restaurant. We were very pleased with the options and the overall tastiness of the food. We also really loved the ambiance of this restaurant; you either had the views/sounds of the beach/ocean or the palms of the resort area. Both nights also had exceptional singers performing which added to the good vibes. We are very happy with our experience here!

The restaurant would not honour our confirmed reservation. After making our way to a confirmed reservation, the hotel claimed they could not accept guests who were not staying at their hotel because they were at 75% capacity. Very few people were actually sitting in the restaurant at the time. Very disappointing.

Overall, our visit to this venue was acceptable. Upon arrival with a reservation made, we were treated as if the venue was packed full; it was not even close. We were kindly seated, we did get a great table on the sand, and the service was great. The food was ok at best. A the cost was set too high based on our meals, the taste value wasn’t there. Overall, we had a decent experience there. Questionable if we would pick that spot for a formal date night.

We've been in this restaurant as a gift to ourselves for our honeymoon. The food was delicious! Scenic sea view! Service was good, but we struggle a bit to catch the attention of a waiter. Maybe it was related to the fact that we were there at 8.30 and after an hour they were closing the restaurant and tidying up for next day. Super recommended for a nice dinner to treat yourself with!

Mahekal and Fuego have not disappointed! This is our 4th time staying here and it is better than before Covid if that is even possible. Food is high quality presentation is amazing service is beyond impeccable! Breakfast lunch or dinner Fuego does not disappoint! Fish is fresh meat high grade and overall experience is such a joy! Your dining experience is just awesome! Beach view refreshing winds! Must I not forget cocktails! Cocktails are some of the best we’ve tasted! Highly RECOMMEND.
