Our love of fried chicken started before we can even remember – with our family’s secret, signature fried chicken recipe. We finally decided it was too good not share. Now, we’re bringing it to Canberra.
From our humble beginning in a food truck, we’ve moved to a new home in Canberra’s foodie hot spot – Lonsdale Street in Braddon.

Fricken chicken....fricken good! The spicy slaw burger was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to have a Friday night meal and beer.

We had heard about Fricken through a Coeliac FB group and glad we came. This is the first eat out fried chicken my daughter has had safely since she was diagnosed nine years ago. Lots of choice for gluten-free and tasted spectacular. The team was helpful, positive and energetic. My husband is a little deaf so we asked if they could turn the music down so that we could hear properly and they accommodated this quickly. Even better was we came on a Thursday night so had a halfprice bottle of wine to go with our delicious chicken. Would highly recommend particularly for someone with coeliac disease.

I loved the gluten free options and extra coeliac care. Would recommend getting extra of whatever sauce is on the box you have as it wasn’t a lot.

Over priced. Food not great. The chicken in the burgers was over cooked and buns sloppy. Wouldn’t eat there again unfortunately.

Great vibe. Love how it wasn’t completely quiet and was a place for young people as well as older people. The wednesday chicken wings deal is a real good deal. Had a great time. It would be better if soft drinks came in jugs and such like Casey Jones and Gungahlin Lakes. Other than that it was great !

Fricken Chicken has great gluten free options! I was amazed by how good the truffle parmesan chicken was, as well as the chips. Next time I go I will have to try the frownie, which is also gluten free. Definitely recommend for coeliacs!

Coeliacs rejoice! Gluten free fried chicken and chips (and they have GF beer!) Super tasty and not oily! Chips are crunchy and yum! Staff are friendly and super helpful and reassuring! Will deffo be back!

We booked a table for the Summernats 34 Braddon cruise - and it was perfect! The weather was terrific and the food and service at fricken was excellent. Well worth the booking and effort.
