“Fresko” meaning “fresh” inspires our creation of seasonal menus made from locally sourced ingredients. Fresko makes natural food from the bounty of Iowa farms whenever possible. The culinary team prepares product from start to finish applying natural time honored techniques with care at every step. This enriches the flavorful and nutritious product we serve and benefits our community. Fresko believes we are what we eat and eating well means living well.

Fresko features a splendid assortment of original cocktails with a deep spirits menu and a beer program with sixteen beers on tap in addition to bottles and cans. Fresko's wine menu focuses on quality selections at a great value to our guests.

Food was wonderful and service was very good as well. Only complaint was there were a few gnats and flies that wouldn’t leave us alone while we ate

Always an incredible experience at Fresko. The food is amazing. I can’t stop thinking about the octopus!!! Best food in DSM. Fresko espresso martini was wonderful as well. I love this place and can’t say enough good things

Loved my dinner of the mussels and beat salad. Had a party of 4. Two were vegan and enjoyed their dinners as well. Fresko one of my favorites in downtown Des Moines. Great food, friendly wait staff, nice ambiance. They usually have a special in addition to the normal menu, to include special cocktails.

Our experience was wonderful. The food was fantastic and the service matched. Ryan was attentive and made my son feel like he was part of the crew with mocktails. Also thank you for having the game on. My son was able to venture over and watch it while the adults had a conversation. Again making this a wonderful experience for us all!

Our food and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. We had reservations and were seated right away, but we had to flag down someone to bring us water and order drinks after waiting for 20 minutes. To be fair, we were there on Mother’s Day, however there wasn’t a big crowd at the time we were there. Our reservations were for 2:15, and our meals were served at 3:10. The waitress & bus staff that we had to flag down seemed fairly miserable.

Probably the 5th time I've been there - great GF options and overall just good quality food! The only disappointment was the cointreau pre-mixed into the espresso martinis and no offer to just *make* one. I understand it was busy but martinis aren't that much more complicated than mixing other drinks 🙃
