Four Bricks by La Crosta is a rustic Italian Steakhouse located in a historic part of Uptown Whittier. The location was named Four Bricks for the first brick buildings built at the turn of the century when the city was established.
We pride ourselves on making fresh handmade pastas, serving highest quality prime steaks, and seasonal Italian creations.

Chef Jason Raiola started his culinary career in 2007 and has worked throughout Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. A love for Neapolitan Pizza led him to start La Crosta Wood Fired Pizza in 2019 with his wife Heather and is proof of his love for fresh Italian ingredients.

Four Bricks by La Crosta is a husband and wife team, a family venture, a place to enjoy great food with family, friends , and community.

Beautiful location in Uptown Whittier - the food is the star - simply delicious! Everything is yummy but don' t miss out on the Branzino, Gaunciale Wrapped Prawns and the Arugula Salad! Wow! Service was impeccable (and we had a very large party). Enjoy!

Four Bricks is a new gem! A friend was visiting from Illinois and staying in Yorba Linda. She wanted to meet half was as I was coming from the San Fernando Valley. I am unfamiliar with restaurants in the area but did a good deal of online snooping and found Four Bricks - WOW - what a great call and a terrific surprise. Very pretty restaurant on a charming street with loads of free parking (that never happens!) We sat on the patio which is lovely, and enjoyed everything we ordered. The Cioppino was superb! A delectable fresh arugula and pistachio salad, penne pomodoro and marguerita pizza. The espresso was bold and smooth, the wine offerings are a plenty and the pour was generous. And the lemon cake was perfection. A beautiful crumb, loaded with lemon flavor, and not too sweet! The servers were delightful and checked in on us constantly (though in no way were they intrusive.) And the owner visited with us and was very kind. I love discovering new businesses and see a long and successful future ahead for this family owned and operated restaurant. Casual fine dining as it should be. BRAVO!

Every bite of food here was wonderful. The chef is very talented. Focaccia bread, rigatoni, penne, and short rib dishes were all outstanding. The food service, however, was unacceptable. Two of our party of four got their food at the same time, the third person 10 minutes later, and the fourth person’s food didn’t come out until everyone else had finished (we tried waiting, but the food would have gotten cold). The same thing happened at the table next to us. Three of their party had to-go boxes by the time their fourth got his food. Our server’s response was, “the food comes out when it’s ready. It says that on the menu.” When we had her cancel our fourth's order because the rest of us were done and we were ready to leave, her response was to ask if we wanted to see a dessert menu. ???? To make it your policy to bring food out when it’s ready, even if that means some people at your table won’t start eating until everyone else is done, is just a cop out for not having someone who understands how to expedite food from a restaurant kitchen. Servers should be sympathetic to what is happening at their tables, not oblivious to less-than-satisfactory guest experiences. The manager did her best to try to keep our table comfortable (we were seated next to a breezy, chilly, open door and she kept coming over and closing it for us) but she did not address the issues we were having with getting our food. She did nothing to try to make it right. I get that this place has only been open a couple weeks, but if this is going to be the status quo experience, it’s not going to last very long.

Food was excellent. They are newly opened so they are working out the kinks of getting everyone’s orders out at the same time. We had a party of 7 and the wait from the first delivery to the final was over 15 minutes. The owner came over and apologized. It was full house. I totally understand. I’ll definitely go back in a couple of weeks. The food was perfection!

Wonderful fresh food and terrific service. We will definitely go again and bring friends. Pizza was amazing.

Excellent service great tasting dishes. A few nit picks on some dishes. The chicken parm was delicious but some of the dark meat side was burnt and dry. The other mishap of the night was the espresso drinks, they were served boiling hot and the coffee tasted burned. Espresso is meant to be drunk quickly and is not supposed to be so hot you can’t pick up your glass. Hopefully those two kinks are small issues they can work out because we can’t wait to return to try something else.

So happy to have a new and improved Four Bricks back. I loved everything about my dining experience. We ordered way too much food so we could try lots of things. Amazing meatballs for a starter. 48 hour short ribs over polenta. Amazing. Bucatini cooked perfectly. Of course you’d expect great pizza. Even the side of green beans were wonderful. I can see us there weekly.

Dinner was AMAZING! The restaurant is beautiful and has a beautiful ambiance. We had the Prime Porter House with Salsa Verde and the 48 Hour Sous Vide Short rib. It was delicious!

It was their soft opening first day. The service was very slow and the meal took over 40 minutes to arrive. They were not busy at all. My pasta was cold. My husband’s dish was better but overall it just wasn’t the best experience.
