Le chef primé, Alessandro Pirozzi, a ouvert son premier restaurant à Orange County, en Californie, voilà seulement 6 ans. Grâce à un mélange de sa charmante personnalité et de recettes familiales consacrées, il a recréé un véritable petit bout d'Italie sur la Pacific Coast Highway. Le Corona Del Mar propose quelques-unes des spécialités traditionnelles d'Alessandro ainsi qu'une carte des vins, un bar à prosciutto et mozzarella, du bœuf de qualité cuit à 900°, des pâtes faites à la main et de la glace gelato maison tous les jours. Le voyage culinaire qui a commencé dans le sud de l'Italie a mené Alessandro jusqu'au sud de la Californie, où il partage désormais ses recettes de famille avec un grand succès. Amazing dining experience in the heart of Corona Del Mar. We confused our dinner reservation and accidentally came on the wrong date and the owner could not have been more accommodating. He worked us in and even escorted us to a nearby bar while we waited for our table! The food was fabulous!! The menu is quite extensive and portions generous. My husband and I split the insalata di mare for an app and it was jammed packed with fresh seafood. The margherita pizza was Neapolitan style perfection with good chew on the crust. I also ordered a side of wild caught salmon (loved that it was described as wild because most of the time it is farm raised👎) which was happily not overcooked. My husband’s puttenesca was the best he’s ever had. The restaurant is hopping with good energy- loud but fun! Our waiter, Daniel was accommodating and friendly. Service was great! Run don’t walk to Foretti’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Always a good experience! We live in the neighborhood so we frequently eat here. Foretti’s is always a hit with out of town guests too. This evening it was my husband and myself. Our server was attentive and friendly. The superfood risotto with chicken added was excellent. The Capalini was also a hit. To finish off the nice meal, the ricotta cheesecake….to-die-for, so creamy and tasty!

I had the black ink pasta with shellfish—outstanding. I hear the Cioppino is fantastic. Food was great and surprisingly not overpriced for CDM. However it was quite cold with the window open to night air. Make sure you wear a jacket. Service was very very good.

Food and service were great, and it was nice to have a slower evening. A couple things I was thrown off by, was the restaurant was slow, so why sit a family of 4 on top of a couple that were clearly trying to have a quiet dinner? So many other tables? A few things we looked for on the menu were out. That’s my only complaint. After a long weekend of crowds visiting, as a local, I look forward to the quiet moments. Please pay attention to seating when the days are slow. Some of us really try to take advantage of the slow days, which are good for your business. Can you put arancini on the menu please.
