Brought two friends from out of town for dinner and beers. Everyone loved the atmosphere and the food knocked it out of the park. That burger!!

Had an awesome great first experience here. The food was really great - I had the short rib and wow it was delicious. Prices here were really reasonable. Tried the strawberry basil hefenweizen and it was also really delicious. Can’t wait to come back here!

Food was okay. We ordered the burrata and it was just plain white bread with pesto and salsa described as the tomato jam. Duck and dumplings was also a bit soggy for me personally. The place however was really beautiful and good ambience.

We had a fantastic evening. The food and drinks were very good. The mushroom pot pie and duck gnocchi were the stars of the show. the vermouth was very close to the vermouth that you would find in Spain. It was also very good in the Negroni. We will definitely go back soon.

We stopped by Forbidden Root before heading to the United Center for a Bulls game the other night. It was already pretty full but we were seated right away at a great high-top table by the front window. This was some really tasty elevated bar food. The Duck and Dumplings is not to be missed. It is kind of like an amazing version of a grown-up Chicken and Dumplings but with gnocchi and duck confit...so tasty. We also shared the salmon and burrata both of which were incredible. The beers and cocktails were on point as well. The 5 beer flight was a great way to try a bunch of different types of beer as they were all so interesting. The Panda Party black lager with vanilla was probably my favorite, a perfect cold-weather beer. We also had a couple of cocktails, both the Old Fashioned and the Naked in the Rain were really tasty. All in all, it was a great experience. The service was perfect, and the food was so good. We will definitely be back.

I had the short rib and the carrots for the first time and both were fantastic dishes. I love the beer and the cocktail program too.
