I ordered the mussels as an entree. They were very tasty but about 1/4 of them were not opened yet served to me. The manager was very apologetic and offered another dish, which I declined. He comped my meal. No chef should send out a bowl of mussels with so many closed.

We were the last day so what was available was what was left. We both ordered the steak - it was full of gristle and fat. The cheesecake was warmed up I suspect in a microwave as the outside was warm to hot and the inside was cold to ice. But the view was great and the service was perfect.

The lodge, restaurant, and scenery were beautiful. We were lucky enough to pick a day Denali was showing off. The restaurant was good but not as good as I was expecting for the price. Two of our party ordered steaks and one was well over cooked and the other was too stringy to eat. The pork chop and salmon dishes were amazing. Luckily, we received enough food with our meals that we could share with the ones that ordered the steaks. The service was great for the most part but we didn’t get offered refills on our drinks until the end of dinner, which was too late at that point. When we expressed the dissatisfaction with the steaks, we were offered a free dessert, but refused as we were ready to go at that point. At approximately $60 per steak, we were quite disappointed.

There was a very short menu to start with, but when we arrived at 7:30pm, they were already out of several items. My clam chowder was cold, the bread was rock hard, and my cod had so many bones that I got tired of trying to avoid them and simply gave up. For the prices they charge one would think they would offer a much better product.

Matt was a fantastic server! The food was great but Matt took the experience to the next level! I highly recommend this restaurant if you stay at the inn. You will not be disappointed!!

They didn't have the one entree on the menu that my wife wanted. It was replaced by 1 lb of SNOW crab clusters for $70. Are you kidding me? We could go to the grocery store in the deep south and buy 1 lb of SNOW crab for under $25. Grossly overpriced. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Halibut was ok, but the curry coconut rice was awful.

It was a above average restaurant but the hotel only had shuttle service till 5:45 and this made you had to eat here at the hotel or pay a very expensive taxi ride to get back from home. Breakfast was WAY over priced.

Hostess was unbelievably rude, but our server was nice. Wildly overpriced for what you get. The main draw is the amazing views - I’d suggest just going out to the patio and not bothering with the restaurant.

My memory of this dinner was it was just ok but not great. It was expensive as most Alaskan restaurants are and the was the menu was very limited. We all commented that the food was not exciting or flavorful. To be fair, I had the sauce on the side of the halibut and not on it so it was not dominant. My husband had the sauce on it. We found the fish to be bland and the sauce too strong. It was an ok dinner but if I had another opportunity to dine here I would pass on it. The service was fine and the dining room was attractive and clean.

Reservation for 7:30 ; bar in lobby packed because bus tour in hotel, we walk down to the restaurant , they had 1 table of 15 people and 1 table of 4 people ( probably seats 100) it's 7:05- can we sit now? Hostess - no, come back closer to 7:30- can we sit and have a drink and not order and wait until 7:30? Hostess No- go to lobby bar .. meanwhile the Restaraunt is virtually empty . We come back 7:25.. restaurant still empty- keep in mind, this place is all about the view ... there are many tables open, she seats us near window.. but 75% of view is blocked by wall. can we move to That that table ?(good view) . hostess -No- that's for someone else .. but she doesn't offer to try to accommodate us - we move a better table . View still partially blocked but better than first table. Waiter ( Matt) upbeat, very good service - asks , would you like a cocktail ( I am thinking - yes, we wanted that 20 minutes ago!) LOL we order dinner / wine Food- chowder very good ; Muscles very good, halibut very good ( but on bland white rice ) black cod .. some of the cod had ammonia taste .. from being frozen - not very good .. broth it's in is good Overall, far from fine dining - would not eat there again BTW - restaurant virtually empty the whole time

The service was good but the food was quite disappointing. We ordered the halibut, the risotto and the cod. The halibut and risotto were severely underseasoned and lacking in any taste whatsoever. The cod was cooked well but the rest of the dish was nothing to speak of. The broccoli cheddar soup was good, so were the desserts. For the amount they charge, the food should’ve been a lot better, even taking into the Alaskan premium.

We had a reservation and had to wait for our table. We had an obstructed view of the mountain range. Service was fair. Food was subpar, especially for the price paid. Salmon was bland and salad was very minimal and tasteless. There were very limited choices for dessert. We left feeling very underwhelmed.

Our server made our experience more enjoyable! We were seated at the window and if not for the incredible cloud cover would've have been an amazing view of Denali. Local oysters were so good! The scallops were of varying sizes but good, and the black cod and wild salmon was also done well.

I ordered the grilled cheese salad; it was way too heavy with very little to no fresh ingredients. My husband had the halibut with potatoes/duck fat. He stated the same; not a shred of fresh vegetables. The appetizer of 4 small scallops was too expensive for what was presented. If you can’t put out fine dining food, don’t advertise as this.

The steak needs to have some flavor to it, very bland for $50 dollars. The chocolate mousse said it came with berries and it showed up with one strawberry. Chris the waiter did a good job.
