I asked them to recognize 2 Birthdays of the guests. They bought the cake without candles despite me asking them an hour before dinner to coordinate it. They did not have tonic for drinks and were out of a few items on the menu by 7pm.

The food was good, our server was awesome but they were understaffed and we waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our food! That is too long! The were nice enough to comp us a couple cocktails but still the wait was a bit much!

Excellent service but the fish was over cooked. We had the salmon. Also, the seafood chowder had mostly rockfish in it which is a bit tougher fish. Soup was tasty but could’ve used more variety. The fried naan that came with the soup was amazing! Beautiful view of the mountains and our server was very attentive and professional.

I ordered the mussels as an entree. They were very tasty but about 1/4 of them were not opened yet served to me. The manager was very apologetic and offered another dish, which I declined. He comped my meal. No chef should send out a bowl of mussels with so many closed.

We were the last day so what was available was what was left. We both ordered the steak - it was full of gristle and fat. The cheesecake was warmed up I suspect in a microwave as the outside was warm to hot and the inside was cold to ice. But the view was great and the service was perfect.

The lodge, restaurant, and scenery were beautiful. We were lucky enough to pick a day Denali was showing off. The restaurant was good but not as good as I was expecting for the price. Two of our party ordered steaks and one was well over cooked and the other was too stringy to eat. The pork chop and salmon dishes were amazing. Luckily, we received enough food with our meals that we could share with the ones that ordered the steaks. The service was great for the most part but we didn’t get offered refills on our drinks until the end of dinner, which was too late at that point. When we expressed the dissatisfaction with the steaks, we were offered a free dessert, but refused as we were ready to go at that point. At approximately $60 per steak, we were quite disappointed.

There was a very short menu to start with, but when we arrived at 7:30pm, they were already out of several items. My clam chowder was cold, the bread was rock hard, and my cod had so many bones that I got tired of trying to avoid them and simply gave up. For the prices they charge one would think they would offer a much better product.

Matt was a fantastic server! The food was great but Matt took the experience to the next level! I highly recommend this restaurant if you stay at the inn. You will not be disappointed!!
