Le Forage est un bistro de quartier à West Cambridge, juste à côté de Harvard Square. Grâce à des partenariats avec les agriculteurs et pêcheurs locaux, le restaurant propose un menu unique, local et de saison, axé sur les ingrédients, un menu provocateur mais en même temps accessible et sain. Le bar au Forage sert des cocktails préparés à la manière classique, qui se concentrent sur des ingrédients locaux et saisonniers. Le Forage dispose également d'une sélection soigneuse de vins blancs, rouges et mousseux, tous organiques ou biodynamiques, et d'une sélection de bières provenant de brasseries indépendantes et innovantes. À la barre du Forage se trouve le propriétaire et directeur général Stan Hilbert, le chef Eric Cooper et le gérant du bar Joe Choiniere. Le trio a travaillé ensemble pendant sept ans au Ten Tables à Jamaica Plain.

Every Tuesday treat yourself to a special dinner created by the dynamic wine-loving duo behind the goings-on at Forage, chef Eric Cooper and wine guru Stan Hilbert. Each week they select four wines from some of their favorite non-interventionist winemakers and pair them with a super seasonal four-course spread which you can enjoy on-site, indoors or outdoors. There is an omnivore, vegetarian, or vegan option for the menu. The $105 cost is for the Food and Wine and does not include Taxes, Gratuity or add-ons, like cheese or more wine!

This year my eldest's son birthday was on Mother's Day and they wanted a joint celebration. We chose Forage for the range of food it offers, the warmth of the environment, and the authentic manner in which all of the staff connect. We were not disappointed. We chose the pre-fix menu which was a wonderful assortment of taste and texture. The cheese plate and desserts were a great addition to meal. The cocktails choices had a wonderful variation and we each found the right one for us. The wine we chose had mixed reviews with some of us really liking it and some thinking it was not the right fit. The wait staff was wonderful as we asked question (with me worried I had ordered the wrong bottle). They offered to change it, which we turned down since it was our fault. We will go again

Amazing vegetables -- a cornucopia of raw, cooked, smoked, pickled and foraged veggies in creative combinations. Everything was beautifully plated -- but so delicious that we forgot to take photos!

Incredibly creative and delicious food is a hallmark of Forage. There is always a yummy entree for vegetarians as well as meat and fish for carnivores. And the service is great too.

After cruising around for parking for nearly 30 mins, the bartender was generous enough to allow me to park in their lot in an illegals spot and not have me towed. I had called and he could hear the stress in my voice since the rest of my party had already been seated. Upon walking in late, he immediately came over and poured me a complimentary glass of one of the most delish glasses of French red wine idea ever had. The food and service was top notch. EVERYONE that worked there was incredibly knowledgeable, nice, and just seemlessly working together to ensure we were taken care of. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years based on the quality of service and creative dishes. 1,000/10 recommend!

Vegan tasting menu was underwhelming. Also, the bar, while quaint, is very small so if you eat at the bar, be prepared for the bartender to be able to hear your entire conversation.

Service was excellent! Restaurant staff and chef were very accommodating with special dietary restrictions. And the Food was creative, fresh, and delicious. We will return when in town again.

Forage is our absolute favorite restaurant in the larger Boston area. The menu constantly changes and is always delicious. I love how they introduce me to foods that I have never eaten before, like Bergamot sorbet. The wine list is fabulous, and they also have creative cocktails. I love the cozy basement vibe, as well as their patio when the weather is warm. We bring out of town guests here each year.

Our server Jack was just wonderful. The owner also came over and helped us pick out wine and really nice. We felt very well taken care of and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious, but quite pricey so I would save this for a special occasion. But it’s a must!!

This is our favorite restaurant in all of the Boston area. The menu is so creative and it always changes. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. The drinks are unique, and I love the wine list.

The menu was creative, the wine was delicious and reasonably priced, the taste of our food was ok, but nothing special (the flourless chocolate cake, which had an unusual name, was wonderful). Our server and FOH were professional and friendly. The room was cozy and warm on a cold night.

Forage is a hidden gem, tucked away on a side street in Cambridge. It has a welcoming, warm and calm ambiance and delivers a remarkable taste adventure. The menu, a kaleidoscope of flavors, featuring standout dishes such as perfectly pickled veggies (who knew pickles could taste this good?), impeccably cooked steak (try the marrow butter!) and cod, and a delicious almond cake dessert. Forage has an adventurous wine list, curated with reasonably priced but unusual bottles from around the world. What really elevated our experience was the knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly staff, who expertly guided our selections, enhancing our meal with wine pairings. For anyone seeking a dining experience that's both innovative and comforting, Forage is a must-visit.

Forage has been the go-to restaurant for special occasions for me and my husband for years. It offers price-fixed menus and wine pairings for everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions, but you still feel comfortable sitting there in casual wear. The food is creative, and the restaurant lives up to its name, offering a lot of veggie- and grain-based dishes using earthy ingredients you wouldn't think of. While not every dish is my favorite, I enjoy trying new things and always leave full but not bloated. The service is incredible as well. The servers explain each dish and give a backstory for each wine pairing, which really adds to the experience. I can't speak highly enough of Forage's hospitality.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was so nice! We did a prefix menu and it was 10/10, the wine pairings, the food, it was all beyond. Would recommend to everyone I know and everyone I don’t know.

Came to Forage for Valentine's Day - was an excellent farm to table meal. Ingredients were fresh, and the meals were prepared well. Started off with a beet dish for the first course, followed by Arctic Char for the second, and seared cod for the main. Each dish was cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were equally as excellent. Service was outstanding! Great ambience. 5/5 stars.
