We had an amazing anniversary dinner last night. Leo and the other waiting staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the setting was lovely. We had been recommended to go by friends and would definitely pass this recommendation on and visit again ourselves.

We’ve eaten here several times before and it never disappoints. Great dinner, I had the cauliflower starter which was absolutely delicious, then the halibut which was also fabulous though perhaps slightly under seasoned for my taste. Waiters were both charming! Thanks so much And many thanks for the wee complementary dessert wine to finish off!

Excellent food. Wait staff was very attentive but hustling between several tables. Kitchen seemed a bit overwhelmed by volume but worked hard to keep up the best it could. Overall, great experience and would return.

What an amazing experience we had. The waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and incredible tasting.

A very enjoyable meal as always. Food was delicious with excellent choices. Matthew and the team looked after us in their usual professional, attentive and impeccable manner. Our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh.

The food was quite good but the portions were quite small. Service was very spotty. Ambience was poor. It was a cellar that felt like a cellar. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Had a lovely anniversary meal at F&C. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was very tasty and the little extra for our anniversary made our night special. Thank you so much.

Cosy basement, lovely greeting. I had the ox cheek which was melt in the mouth. Service was friendly and relaxed. Loved it.
