The food is not bad, however after being seated and brought our first drinks we never saw our server again and had to waive down various people when we needed something. For the price I would have expected better.

Booked for Mother’s Day dinner. Terrible experience. It was wayyy overcrowded and restaurant could not keep up with demand. The market table was half empty the entire time, took forever to try to get some meat or refill of anything at the table. Felt like a chaotic scarce cafeteria instead of a a nice restaurant. For the price we paid, i expected at least a proper meal . Food was mediocre at best.

The ambiance was real bad since it was very crowded , spillage of food on the floor as well as in the bar area/buffet area. It took forever for the waiter serving the meat to reach us since there were only 3 of them . Food and meat was not great at all and not worth it paying $67 per person plus tax and tip.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Considering how many guests they were serving, let alone on Mother’s Day, I felt all our needs were met, guests were friendly, and the meat was so tender, it practically melted in my mouth 🤤 I will be returning… not during a holiday though. Thank you, Fogo de Chao! 😚👌🏽

We went for Mother’s Day and I am so glad we made reservations through Open Table. It was so busy but their Wait Staff was amazing! They were friendly, attentive and efficient. The food as always was amazing. I highly recommend and will keep coming back.

They were overbooked, which resulted in waiting over 30 minutes to be seated. The restaurant seating is very crowded and very loud. We were stuck in a corner as we were just a party of 4. The service to our table was poor, and we had to keep asking for the servers to come by with the meats. The buffet was sparse with no plates. The meats served were undercooked and not tasty with very small portions served. I never take the time to do a review, but I just cannot recommend this restaurant.

Don’t go on Mother’s Day or holiday events, it seems this place can’t handle the rush. Personnel tried to handle the crowd but unfortunately they fell short. It seemed like we were sitting in the chicken and sausage section ( only meat that kept coming around )we had to keep requesting other types of meat and there excuse was it was too busy. Our seating arrangement was very poor, it felt cramped in, they had to many tables not enough personnel to accommodate everyone. Servers kept bumping into me as I’m trying to eat while they’re trying to get to their station. Very disappointed with their service. Not sure if we will be going back. 👎🏾👎🏾

We were looking forward to experiencing this restaurant with our brother to celebrate his birthday. He had always wanted to go and we had been to Texas De Brazil in Carlsbad and really enjoyed the selection and flavors of all the meat and the excellent dining experience. Fogo de Chao did NOT deliver even a comparable experience and it was MORE expensive! It was not crowded and yet when I got a fresh plate from the salad bar the server let my old plate sit on the table. I had to ask for refills of my water glass. The meat was enjoyed but there were a few pieces that were not edible. The salad bar was the most disappointing, water was dripping on the floor around it, the soup was not flavorful, it just felt very mid budget buffet - honestly the old soup plantation had better flavors. My expectations were so high from our experience, stellar service, and the variety at the Carlsbad restaurant. I kept waiting to be wowed by the flavors and it was just "meh" and at these prices I expect to having a wonderful dining experience. We won't be back.

We made a reservation for 7:45pm, didn’t get seated until almost 9pm overheard someone who had just walked in offer $20 to a hostess or whoever was seating us so they could get seated faster and to our surprise they got seated before us !!! If that was the case we could have done that too as soon as we walked in !!! My first time at Fogo de Chão and was very disappointed to say the least !

Me and my boyfriend did the FOGO 44 promotion for dinner. Our reservation was at 6:45pm but it took a while for us to get our table. It wasn’t busy at all so we were a bit confused as to why we had to wait so long. However, everything was great; food kept on coming but we did have to ask for pineapples twice which was fine. I took some stars off because our server did not offer us any dessert (dessert was included in the promotion). It wasn’t a big deal since me and my boyfriend agreed that it would be better off if we just skipped dessert. However, it would be nice if the servers know about the promotion and what it entails for future customers who’d enjoy the entirety of the promotion.

Worst service ever for the price. I spend most of the time running around the restaurant trying to get napkins, drinks, meat, bare minimum service for my party of 12 people.

Had been in churrascos in Brazil several times, so expected something at least similar. The buffet had mostly cold options with no labels for common food allergens (gluten, dairy), and reduced options and looking unappealing overall at the time of our reservation. The feijao was far less from what any Brazilian restaurant usually offers, and only one option, same for the farofa. The frequency of the meats was off, 2 or 3 at once or none in a while, so either have to eat colder meat or wait long until the next offer. We were offered only 5 options in total which included chicken, which is not a favorite for churrasco. The staff was nice but definitely outnumbered by the overcrowded space were tables were very close to each other. Even though the reservation was placed indicating an special occasion, the table they assigned to us was in a corner with the fire extinguisher right above my seat and it was next to a large (~15 people) and very loud table which made de occasion very uncomfortable and stressful. All of this combined made it so sad and disappointing for a special occasion, which cannot be replaced. I regret choosing it for the occasion. Not recommended, having into account the price and what was advertised versus what we received.

I thought the place was way too dim. The salad bar option wasn't too bad but I remember there being more options. For a Saturday night, it wasn't that busy but we still weren't tended to as much as I would like - particularly with the lamb chops. They walked by our table twice even when we mentioned that we wanted lamb and made sure our card to be flipped to green was sown. A little disappointed considering how we really enjoyed our experience in the past.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at your restaurant. With only one noticeable service slip-up. We asked for an item to be brought to us via a few servers a few times each before it was brought out. Other than one incident, the service was exceptional. Servers were attentive and courteous, and they came by numerous times. I personally loved the pineapple and skirt steaks.

server seemed like she wanted us to leave the second we sat down. kept asking us if we were finished, and took food away when we werent done. a busser also almost slammed my husband with a door, and another spilled water all over my purse and my husbands hat on an empty seat. after a while we just sat there with empty plates and no one was coming by with meats. the salad bar was almost all empty as well. paid $220 for the worst dining experience of my life.

Like eating in a bus station. Mussels and lobster claws had turned and we returned them. One entree never arrived. Worst experience in some time. Tourist trap.

We haven’t been here in a long while and I remember the market table as being over the top amazing. Now the Italian sliced meats are substandard and salads were unappealing and messy. The continuous table side service was disappointing. We were there 1 1/2 hours and the same sausage, bacon wrapped chicken and sirloin and a quick pass of lamb were the only meats they would come around with. We had to ask for the beef tenderloin and rib eye which FINALLY was served to us. The meat though was delicious, the little bit we were served. The side dishes brought to the table were ice cold waiting on the meat to be served. We left hugely disappointed. Our server was so so, the other members did come around to ask how we were. For the price paid I wish we had gone somewhere else.

This was my 2nd visit to Fogo de Chao. Got seated immediately and was greeted by a friendly server. After bringing our cocktails, the manager pulled our server to take meat to tables. The guys with meat kept walking by us, then it was just sirloin, sirloin, sirloin. A new server came by, then the manager. Eventually, they brought a variety of meats and tended to us. We ordered dessert and it came out quickly. In the end, it was a good experience.

Tables are tight, they did not seem to anticipate a crowd and both enough servers. The highlight was the light heartedness of our server! Food was good when they actually made it to the table. Huge fan of the chain generally, but this experience was not up to the usual standards.

We had early reservations (6Pm) and really struggled to get any meats. The manager had to send meats to our table around 7pm. We paid a lot of money for a party of 13 only to eat mostly from the bar area. We’ve visited other locations with much better experience. I would not come back. There is also not pricing options for smaller kids.

Always a pleasure to spend money here. They make my child feel like the most special person in the world. No other place has done that. The food is incredible also. The manager came and showed her a magic trick. She was ecstatic.

We were at our table for 30 minutes waiting for meat service. They kept going to other tables and passing us and I had to flag them down several times just to get a piece of steak.

We asked for fried cheese 3 times. We saw the server ask to his asistan 2 times and no one brought it.

It was a Daou wine dinner and I made the reservation at least a month ago. I received texts from the restaurant to confirm of which I did as well as a phone confirmation. We got there and it was a complete zoo. They clearly were not ready for it. We were put at a table for two and squeezed a chair on the end. This started the evening off and got progressively worse. The chowder was served cold and apparently the servers did not know each course had wine pairing. We had to ask for glasses and wine. One particular server walked around refilling wine and completely bypassed us and the table next to us. When we finally got his attention he was rude and unprofessional. The rest of the night he ignored us and we had to continue to ask for wine when the food came out. I’ve never had an experience like the one last night. The food for the most part was very good and the dessert was excellent. However, we will never go back. To all the servers that did a great job we apologize for not leaving a tip except to the first server we had. For the price of our meals it didn’t equate to what was deserved but unfortunately the one server caused that.

This is only a review of the DAOU Fogo De Chao Wine Pairing Dinner that occurred on 03/28/24. I believe this was their first wine pairing dinner, or I hope that it was, as there are many things they would need to train their staff on and ensure appropriate workflow is established. The timing of each course with the paired wine was absolutely off. We would either be done with our charcuterie board before we even got our first wine, or we would have received the second wine about half an hour before the second course came out. All throughout the event, every table was receiving wine and courses are different times, there was no organization to the event at all. The last third and fourth courses were meant to have sides of "seasonal potatoes". Our table asked different servers THREE different times for this side. By the time we got our trifle dessert, we gave up asking for any potatoes. However, we saw that the table of 2 next to us got two servings of potatoes, meanwhile our table of 6 received none. I could honestly care less for seasonal potatoes, but the objective disorganization and ineffective management left me speechless and quite frustrated and disappointed. We were also offered coffee with our dessert (which we had already finished before any coffee came out). No cream or sugar offered with the coffee. Lastly, this is nit picking, but our servers would ask for us to pass plates down and ask us to pass wine glasses so that they can collect them. This is Fogo De Chao, not Applebees. Please train your staff to wait appropriately for an occasion such as this. There was ample room between tables so that wait staff can maneuver easily to each seat. There was also ample staff as we all witnessed a couple staff just endlessly opening DAOU bottles and wandering around providing CERTAIN (not all) tables extra pours of wine rather than help their fellow wait staff.

Absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful! Went on a Tuesday night, they were busy but very attentive and kind. Food was seasoned perfectly and delicious.
