I love Fogo, as always the food is so good, I used to go to Fogo in DC, and It never disappoints where you go. The price is excellent. The salad is amazing, so many options the steaks are great. The waiters though are a little bit slow, sometimes they forget to come back to your table and refill, and the waiters bringing the steaks take a while to come.

Our host during the event was amazing! Alize was knowledgeable of the dishes and wine selection! She was truly on her game that night! I will come back just to enjoy her presence!

Unfortunately very subpar service. We checked in at the host stand and were seated to our table, introduced to the menu, and had our drink order taken which is where the problem began. We got water for the table, a soda, and I had asked for a shirley temple which the hostess said she needed to check with the bartender for to make sure she could make it. We waited for what seemed like a long time for meats to be offered even after visibly turning our cards from red to green and the selection seemed poor. After about 30 mins or so, someone came to ask if there was anything we were looking for as far as meats and he wrote it down for the kitchen, got us new plates, new napkins (after asking for some more than 3 times), and that was the end of the servers interaction with us for at least the next 30 mins. An hour in and I still did not have my shirley temple, no granting of the meat requests made earlier, I had an empty and clean plate for half of my time there because no one came by or even made eye contact with us. One server came by offering cheeses and I had asked for another round of fried bananas and surprise surprise, it’s been 24 hours since I ate there and I’m still waiting for them. For the amount of money this place costs, that’s extremely disappointing and underwhelming. Other tables around us seemed to be getting slightly better service. Fast forward to our table closing out and they’re trying to charge me for a shirley temple I asked for 2 hours ago and never received. Plate still clean, only about 2-3 repetitive selections being offered around to seemingly everyone else, no fresh sides offered at any point and I guess even when you ask for them they say yes but disappear and never bring you anything you asked for. Experience was a waste of time and money. I’ve received much better service at Chama Gaucha and will stick to that. Never coming back here again.

The food was delicious! The carved meats came out hot & cooked perfectly. The Market table had a wonderful assortment of salads, veggies, fruits, meats & cheeses. You get as much meat as you can eat for your money with the full experience, so the value is good. The service was exceptional as well. Lizette & Glen were top notch wait staff! Sonia (one of the meat carvers) was also very friendly & helpful!

At one point it felt like we needed to remind them that they were there. I might’ve just been an odd time of day but didn’t feel like the last time I had been to one of their restaurants.

Been to this location many times. First time in the weekend which may be why everything was not great. Not enough staff coming around with the meat. The server was not attentive at all. I would imagine that on a weekend there would be more staff than in weekends. I was given an answer that there was a cheerleading competition in town and some other reason. Not sure if that’s the clients coming in that night. I shared it with someone who I think was from the management team asked how it was. I shared the same comments I’m saying here. Hope it will be better the next time.

I’ve had better service and experience at other locations. The servers were trying but was not as tentative. The manager did try to make it right by making sure we tried the meat of our choice but we did have to request it 3 times. We opted for the $60 so we can get more variety but we kept getting the same choices and some meat we did not even get although it was on the menu. Most likely won’t be going to this location next time I’m in San Antonio.

Fogo has gone downhill. It used to be my go-to place for all special occasions. However, the meat is less tender, there aren’t enough servers to provide things like clean plates after you salad course, and they seem to have changed the recipe for their cheese rolls, which I used to love but now they taste bland like their isn’t enough salt in them. Their prices are higher than ever, but their service and food is not worth the price. Next time, I’ll try Texas de Brazil and see if I have better luck there.

They now bring around items, like shrimp cocktail, the same way the bring the meats. They do not tell you there is an upcharge for these items. Deceitful for an all you can eat place.

Muy rico todo. Muy buena atención y muy amables todos los meseros. La gerente siempre atenta y pasó un par de veces a la mesa a preguntar si todo bien. No es buen lugar para niños pequeños que aunque te cobran la mitad, es algo caro para su edad.

Nothing special about this place. Decent food but service is a little slow. Prefer to go to a different place where I can get a decent piece of grilled meat.

Service was lackluster. Drink orders were so confused with many taking our orders, but would never receive them at the table. Took 30 minutes to get refills. Disappointed!!

We rarely patronize Brazilian steakhouses, because we are often disappointed. We were not disappointed at.Fogo de Chao; in fact we were exceptionally pleased. Spectacular salad bar, incredibly tasty meats, served by ever present meat gauchos. A special shout out to the manager, who visited with us for several minutes, and the plethora of servers, constantly checking on our needs. You must try this!

I had a great experience at Fogo because of my server Alejandra who was AMAZING with guiding my parents through their first visit. I had been upset bc I made a reservation a week in advance and when we got there they wanted to seat us way in the back literally 1.5ft away from a kiosk where servers put in orders. Mind you- I had made a reservation with the note of it being my mother’s birthday.. a week prior!!!! When I asked for another table and explained I wanted my parents to have a good experience- all I got was attitude and got told “well you’re gonna have to go back to the front and wait then.”. Thank goodness for Alejandra who gave us the best attention & service. Food was delicious.

I have been to Texas De Brazil and they have a larger variety at their market bar including soups, salads, rice, deserts etc. Fogo de Chao had limited variety to select from and didn't cater to a customer's select palette. The service and drinks were excellent. The full experience advertised Filet Mignon and Rib-eye but unless you asked for it only the cheaper meats were frequented at the table. i expected more variety and luxury for the price. A customer has to pay an average of $200 - $300 including parking to not be satisfied with the value of selection.

They need to take out torn chairs and replace them supposed to be very nice for the price we pay

The service at the San Antonio Fogo is among the best. Very attentive service, on top of our needs, the meat came around in consistent intervals. Everything was just excellent.

Visited here for Valentine’s Day dinner. We arrived 15 min early for our reservation and we were seated immediately. The server explained everything to us and was very friendly. The food and drinks were spectacular. Lamb was my favorite along with Brazilian potato salad. We are planning to visit again soon. This location is perfect to visit the river walk after dining.
