Le Fogo de Chão® (prononcé fo-go dèe shoun), est un authentique steakhouse du sud du Brésil servant depuis 1979 des grillades préparées à la manière des gauchos de Porto Alegre. Les chefs gauchos du Fogo® utilisent aujourd'hui encore les mêmes techniques de cuisson pour préparer chacune des 20 pièces de viande du menu et proposent un service continu à table. Disappointed today. We found the food less flavorful with far less variety of meats than in past visits. The service started off poor but the manager noticed and tried to make up for the initial lack of attentiveness. Our young grandson has always loved the experience and we have enjoyed bringing him here in the past. Based on tonight’s experience, it is time for us to find him a new favorite restaurant in Austin.

What a downgrade from the previous location. Had to beg to get meat to come. Was not good.

The meat service was amazing as usual. We loved all the yummy options in the salad bar as well as the desserts! The only bad part was there is not enough restrooms at this location. Four unisex in total is not nearly enough for all the patrons, especially if you just want to wash your hands before eating. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Our server was fantastic! We had a 9:30 graduation, but I think there were other large groups from the graduation so we were seated a bit late…maybe 15-20 minutes later. However, once dinner service started, it was great. They closed at 10 pm and the salad bar closed soon after, but the servers made sure we got all the meats served to us. It was a lovely dinner. The manager was also very accommodating, since I contacted him several times to modify my reservation.

The waiters and waitresses were in such a hurry to get through with the service of our table. It became very distracting. Water was poured out of the glasses several times with how fast she was trying to get done with it. Water ended up on the table and in some of the dishes. It was like this throughout the whole evening.

MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BARFOGO AND THE FULL EXPERIENCE!!! We were expecting our second experience of the luxurious Brazilian steakhouse, since the last and first time we came we were with our 1 and 3 year olds. I saw the email for the launch party reservations on the same day as our anniversary and was excited to come back! Especially to enjoy the filet minion again! That was my favorite last time. However, you do not get any of the Fogo de Chão experience during this “event” it is completely separate! Also, any requests you make like allergies or religious restrictions will not only not be honored but they seek to completely ignore them and don’t even like Open Table even though they use it. I extended our parking meter and made reservations afterward to go get some filet minion but my wife was so full from the trash bar bites (literally mostly pork) that she was ready to leave. So I ended up cancelling the reservations. No filet minion this time… UPDATE After a response to the above review and being asked to call the store, I was offered to come back and try again. We came back for an anniversary do-over. It started off by being asked if bottled water was fine, which of course it is but I wondered the entire rest of the visit if it is extra. We were then asked if we would be enjoying the full experience, which is really the only thing I know they offer unless you do just the salad bar, as I’ve never seen a menu while at the restaurant. We grabbed our salad bar plates and flipped our meat cards… The manager did come by and verify allergies but many of the waiters were oblivious to it, still offering pork to us almost a dozen times. We were asked several times if there were any specific meats we wanted. Great chance to get your favorites again, which of course I did! Thank y’all for giving us another chance! Also, getting those cheese bread balls fresh is life changing, the way it melts in your mouth! I could eat a hundred!!!

Bar Fogo was an enjoyable time for my sister and me. The drinks were delicious. The food was yummy. We enjoyed being outside on the balcony which created great ambiance. The servers were very friendly. It was a great time for a great price. We hope you do it again soon.

Overall a disappointing experience. I had arrived 10 minutes early to ensure we would be sat on time given that it was a business meal. We were sat 20 minutes late. Once we were seated, and went to the salad bar then then rushed to serve us the meats for a 10 minute period. After that it was very intermittent. It appeared that they did not budget enough times for their tables and then tried to move us out quickly. The advised us to go to the bar for a drink however when 30 people were trying to get cocktails and only one bartender, it took awhile to be served. I will definitely be considering going back or doing a different venue for business meals.

We chose the premium option but the premium meats were not really offered and the filet and the rib eye were tough and chewy. The lamb was really gamey and not the quality I was expecting.

Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here for Sunday Dinner. And as always had a wonderful time. Martin was fantastic through the whole night. And helped make sure the night went as planned. Thanks once again to the amazing team at Fogo De Chao. We’ll be back again soon.

This is one of the more authentic Fogo’s remaining in the brand. So many establishments have moved to a fast table- turning model, with some customer service on the front end and little or no follow through on what should be a lovely finish (port, dessert, coffee - another aperitif anyone?) Cheers to Fogo de Chao of Austin for keeping the original Brazilian warmth and hospitality- and churrascaria at its best in US. Thank you to Jack for warm welcome and attentiveness, and to Martin for always checking in to ensure our special evening wanted for nothing. And, I must not neglect a proper nod to the wonderful bartender who went out of his way to patiently serve up the perfect traditional Caipirinha - best I’ve had in a long time. Thank you!

We booked a table after an event. The time slot we wanted was available. We were called twice before our time slot and told we needed to come early or we wouldn't be sat. We should have cancelled then. The whole experience felt rushed. We were practically pushed out with in the hour. The salad portion of the meal was shut down and the red green card system was not followed. So we were over loaded then rushed. Overall I do not all recommend placing a reservation towards the end of the evening. There really shouldn't have them available if they don't want people dining at that time.

This time I wasn’t impressed. The service was fantastic, although had to wait over half an hour, even though we had a reservation. But the main reason I took a star is because the meats don’t seem to come as often or as frequently as in the past.

Food was definitely a 10/10 the environment was very good and the service was amazing especially Martin, Daniel and Dylan they really did the best helping us with everything and making sure we was comfortable, I will highly recommend anybody to this place.

We were disappointed in the meat quality. Several cuts were tough and a couple had a lot of gristle. The salad bar was fun and atmosphere was nice. Our servers were kinda of bland but the hostess was a delight. We’ll probably not go back.

Vitor the gaucho was so great, held up the review. Everyone in the place needs his energy. A true Brazilian with good humor and willing to chop it up with my beginner level Portuguese. He is the only reason I’d ever return to this Fogo.
