Somewhat disappointing this time unfortunately. Our server was also the bartender and he was very busy. Therefore our salad for the 4 of us as a starter came at the same time as the meals. Had to then ask for the dressing for the salad. Dirty dishes took a while to be cleared away. All of this was not our previous experiences. The fish and chips were not good at all. One piece of fish was not edible it was so chewy; the other was fine. The sweet potato fries we paid extra for were terrible. The stir fry with beef was tasty, but the beef was on the tough side. The manager was very kind and provided a complimentary dessert for the person who order the stir fry. A nice touch. Appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert for my husband who was celebrating. It was the brownie and it was delicious.

Only concern is the burger I ordered had a hard top of the bun, the lettuce was wilted, and the plate hot enough she had to use a towel to carry it to the table… likely all because it was left under the heat lamp for too long. I did not enjoy it, did not complain, and was quick to pay up and pass on a second drink.

I'm a regular at F&B and absolutely LOVE this place! The food quality is always consistent, great menu selection topped with amazing staff who are personable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend coming here often to try out their vast menu! Oh and their deserts are amazing!

Very busy on an early Saturday evening! Reservation was for 5 pm, and by 6 pm, restaurant was pretty well full. Grilled chicken burgers were outstanding! Caesar salad with a grilled chicken breast was underwhelming and over priced. Seafood pasta was very good. The Brie chicken was good, expensive for the quantity served however. The service was not as timely as on other visits, but in fairness, the restaurant was busy! This is a neighborhood favourite, and we will return…have been there many times for both lunch and dinner and it is definitely worth trying!

Went for brunch and had Eggs Benedict which was good. They also had $5 mimosas which were good too. Service was great. Not too busy at lunch on a Sunday. I have been here before and had the French onion soup and mussels and enjoyed both

It took forever to get our food, as if they never serve kids at the place:-( and steak was … meeehhhh! But server was very nice trying to cover up for us and another server!

We felt rushed. We ordered an appetizer and were enjoying it, less than 10 minutes had gone by when the food runner showed up with the entrees. We asked him for a few more minutes - 5 minutes went by and he came back to the table to ask if we were ready. We said no. The entire night it felt like we were being rushed, the restaurant was busy, but there was NO ONE waiting for a table. it was the first time visiting, and it was a negative experience.

A neighbourhood gem! Good food, excellent servers…the homemade soups are really good…definitely are homemade! The fish and chips…almost no batter on the fish, unlike so many restaurants where the batter is both thick and greasy…definitely not the case here. Soup/sandwich lunch is excellent and great value. I don’t eat fries…here, you can substitute them for either soup, or salad…both are good.

We enjoyed ourselves. The server was exectionally accomodating. We decided to move our table as we realized that the table we had chosen was not big enough to fit our party of 11 . She quickly arranged a new place with kindness amd efficiency. This alone would have tainted our eating experience negatively but the move made our experience enjoyable. The food looked appetizing and was tasty and was appreciated by all. The lamb was yummy!!! Thank you.

Lunch on Friday was amazing. The lobster bisque was delicious, fish and chips excellent. Friday special was a chicken pesto panini with soup (lobster bisque), excellent and great value. Service was, as always, outstanding. Our waitress was attentive…we were a group of four…old friends with lots to chat about…and she allowed us to linger as long as we wanted. Overall, this is a neighborhood place that we have been to several times, and we will continue to go there.

This was our first time eating at Flame and Barrel, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the steaks so good. We ate on Valentine's Day, which may not be a typical day for them, but we still enjoyed ourselves and will go back to try it again. The service was attentive, and the food was well-prepared.

Our server was amazing and made the best pina colada her self! The ambiance was great! Only thing that caught us off guard was when the oiler game came on, it went from this rustic ambience to pub feel in a matter of seconds! But didn’t bother us.. just wasn’t expecting it with the original vibes we got. Anyways, highly recommend, oh and their brownie dessert was fabulous! 😄

I don’t know why we waited this long to try out this restaurant! I’m embarrassed actually considering we live in the neighborhood.We were planning on going to The Keg in Windermere.. busy parking lot and told a two hour wait ! I suggested Flame and Barrel , booked on Open Table for 15 minutes in the future and we just crossed the road . Lots of convienent parking zero wait and awesome friendly staff . The Peruvian Beef skewer we shared for an appy was spicy and tender and delicious ! My house salad with added feta cheese and side of shrimp was so good ! The shrimp are huge and tasty . My husband ordered the 10oz steak with peppercorn sauce and fries . He said everything was delicious . Sadly there was no room for dessert so can’t speak on that . I had just water but the wine list and cocktails looked great ! We for sure will be back !

We came here twice as both times our food came out so good!! My fav dish is the Cajun chicken pasta carbonara and it hits the spot every time!! 👍 a bit far considering it’s in Windermere and we’re far north side but with the drive!! Will be back for sure :)

Garlic Cheesy bread was out of this world with the marinara dip. Steaks were ok the 7oz strip wasn’t great, the ribeye was solid.
