As always the food here is wonderful. There were a few things that got missed on our order and it took a little longer than expected, but things were quickly corrected when we raised the issue. We will be dining here again. Hopefully soon.

It was very nice dining outside at Fixins for Mother’s Day. We had a lovely table and the weather was perfect. Waitress was exceptionally pleasant. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent food and customer service. The owner warmly greatly everyone and our waitress was very helpful and accommodating . I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Our food was delicious and our server JC was so sweet! However, we had a 6:00 reservation and were not seated until 6:40. I understand places can get busy and you can run behind on reservations but no one (except JC) ever acknowledged this. No apology, no thank you for being patient, nothing from the hostess as we waited patiently right in front of her for 40 min. Nothing from the managers who were walking around and chit chatting amongst themselves, never interacting with customers. When you have many, many people waiting way past their reservation times, good customer service would be for a manager to acknowledge it, that’s it. For the record, servers, bussers, and bartenders looked to be working their butts off. For that reason along with the cool ambience and great food, I’d still recommend Fixins, but this is obviously a popular place so the reservation process and management issues should be addressed.

This was my second time dining here. I ordered the same thing; the smothered pork chops. It just didn’t hit for me this time. The pork chops were overly breaded, and had a ton of gravy on them. The food wasn’t “bad,” but my soul food itch definitely wasn’t scratched this time.

Great place! We drove up from Stockton to eat here and it was totally worth. Went to the one in L.A. on a Friday, and they had a DJ!

Our first time at the restaurant. It was good that we made reservations. It was crowded and we were able to be seated right away. It did take some time for a waitress to greet us and bring us waters. She made up for it with great customer service! The gumbo, spicy chicken sandwich and fried fish was delicious! There were only 2 items of food (koolaid pickle, red beans and rice) that our table did not like. The delicious koolaid reminded me of how we drank it during my childhood! The ambiance and music was the right volume!

Customer service is absolutely horrible. Wait time even with reservations was terrific. I thought the gumbo was too salty, the rest of my party liked the majority of what they ordered. The chef definitely keeps this place running.

Great food, awesome service and a wonderful ambiance and feel indoors. The fried chicken sandwich with fries was amazing, we loved every bite. The sweet tea and lemonade definitely quenched our thrist, we really liked the glass jar mugs. The peach cobbler was just like how my Aunt Gloria made it, fantastic! Lastly, I love the local vibe Oak Park is coming up!

Always love the food and vibes that Fixins offers. Banana pudding it to die for and we come every weekend to get our chicken and waffle on to start the day, servers are always very sweet and the hostess 🥰always gets us the best seating💅💋

Got the fish I’ve gotten before. It was very salty this time. Sides were incorrect. Service was slow. Server was inattentive - not a problem if she didn’t spend as much time as she did conversing with the customers at another table.

We were a party of 7 and the hostess/server greeted us and provided exceptional service. Ms. Pearl welcomed us at our table and provided some background info. on the restaurant and was a total gem. The vibe of the restaurant was phenomenal! Our Server and Ms. Pearl set the tone of our awesome experience. Most importantly, our food was out of this world! Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and complimented the food with each bite they took. Our fried deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes for starters were great. Followed with orders of gumbo, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich, salad and more. Quenched our thirst with sweet tea and Kool Aid that hit the spot. We will definitely be back and we have shared our experience with friends and family. Fixins continue to be Phenomenal!

18 in the Dunlap room around 1:30 from BayNorth COC, 2100 Pennsylvania in Fairfield, our waitress Atlae was on top of her job, we were so happy to see her, my minister Sam Morris meet Derrick Allen the food was awesome, fabulous, the potatoes salad should had got extra to go no complaints about anything.

This was my second time dining at Fixin's. The Kool-aid is always perfect! Our 2 families consisted of a 3 year old, a 13 year old, and 30-50 age wise adults. The kids both LOVED the fish nuggets, and gobbled them up. My toddler also really enjoyed the Mac n cheese. It's one of his favorite foods, and their recipe was creamy and cheesy. Fried chicken was cooked to perfection, and the fried green tomatoes were so yummy! My only complaint was I received a different salad dressing than requested, but I was too full for it anyway 🤣

Came here to introduce our friends visiting the area because they wanted comfort food. They were so pleased with the food and everyone had something they wanted from the menu. All the food we selected was delicious!! We will surely be repeat customers.

Took my wife for the first time and she enjoyed it! Vibes were chill and festive, food was great, and our server Alaze was super friendly and helpful. I have taken my work team there a few times for holiday lunch, and my first time taking my wife did not disappoint.

The red beans and rice were extremely salty and the oxtails were bland. A guest ordered hot tea and it was served in a very small tea cup and was $5.🥺

We’ve been to Fixins several times and it never disappoints. Our server, Kronk, is knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Everything here is great. Fried chicken, oxtails, grits and greens are all outstanding. The bar serves excellent craft cocktails and the room is very pleasant with a good vibe. Everyone is very hospitable. I’d recommend Fixins to anyone looking for a good time and fabulous food.

I was disappointed that they don’t carry the catfish anymore. That’s the main reason I came there today was to eat the catfish so I was a little disappointed. Mac and cheesecake, greens and fritters were very good. Service was great

The food was horrible and I drove two hours to come have lunch with my sister and our boyfriends here. My food came out cold and it had absolutely no flavor, my boyfriend's chicken had so much hair on it I could have braided it, my sisters pork chops were also cold and real stiff with gravy, lastly her friends oxtails had no meat on them but were huge and full of fat. I wanted to complain immediately but my boyfriend doesn't like being put on the spot and was like just complain when we leave and don't come back. We called and explained the situation and it was not addressed in any manner. Im only writing this review because I think something should have been done. This was definitely a waste of money and I recommend if you go here to only and I mean only get the Kool-Aid.

Great spot for Southern cuisine. Special shout out for the fried chicken, super well-seasoned and juicy, including the white meat! Corn bread muffins and biscuits are delicious and put over the top with the flavored butters provided. Collard greens - excellent! Our server, Vanessa, was patient, friendly, and intuitive - knew when to check in and when to let us just chill. Prices are reasonable. This is definitely a spot you’ll need to wear your eatin’ pants and commit in advance to not counting calories. Highly recommend!
