Le Firefly Grill est un restoroute moderne situé sur les rives du lac Kristie. Géré par ses propriétaires, le chef Niall Campbell et son épouse Kristie, ce restaurant est une oasis de cuisine fraîche américaine dans le cœur du Midwest. Composé de fruits de mer, de steaks grillés au bois de chêne et de pizzas cuites dans un four en brique, le menu du Firefly change tous les jours. Le Firefly utilise des ingrédients locaux chaque fois que possible ainsi que des herbes fraîches et légumes cultivés dans son propre jardin.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was enjoyable and our wonderful bartender Faith did a great job suggesting wonderful items from the menu. Looking forward to going back and trying something else new next time.

We’re FOODIES from Chicagoland who appreciate that Firefly cultivates their Farm to Fork vision in Effingham. If we didn’t travel I-57 going to & from family in Arkansas & Louisiana we would never have known about Firefly. We love that we do! For this visit we were a bit underwhelmed by the Salad - it needed more vinaigrette plus sea salt & cracked pepper as we asked for no cheese due to dairy-allergy. However, the Fried Green Tomatoes & shared Burger rocked! Burger was cooked to perfection. We encourage anyone who cares about locally grown & sourced food to stop in and savor the farm love!

On a pleasant afternoon, we gathered outside at a table for three to celebrate a small family event. We had the bread service, followed by a hummus plate. The main course consisted of whipped potatoes and a hummus sandwich. We concluded with a sublime creme brulee. Each exquisite dish was a testament to the restaurant's culinary artistry, earning my highest recommendation. Over the past three years, we have visited this establishment seven times, and every visit has been an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Food and service are always amazing! They also accommodated my dog who was traveling with me with patio seating.

This restaurant has the freshest vegetables, meat, and seafood in east-central Illinois. My house salad had the most tender lettuce and flavorful cherry tomatoes. My lobster and shrimp stew was amazing. The bread board with pretzel bread and beer cheese dip was addictive, as were the onion rings and the accompanying dips. My husband drives to this spot just for the All-American burger. Our child’s chicken tenders were the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, and I’m from Alabama. We also loved the desserts, especially the house-made ice cream. The server was helpful and friendly, and patient with our youngster. We have to drive over an hour to eat here, but it’s well worth it.

Ate out side with reservation for Mother's Day. 3 course meal with wife and her parents. Great afternoon from the food to the atmosphere. Service was high quality!
